“Billy, did you sense any signs of life nearby?” Billy asked, transferring his consciousness to the sea of knowledge.
“No!” Purple Spirit responded. “At least within a radius of several hundred kilometers, there are no signs of life!”
After a brief pause, Purple Spirit continued, “Billy, is this the Abyssal Depths?”
“Not yet, this is just the outskirts,” Billy replied.
“Then move forward a bit more,” Purple Spirit suggested.
“Alright,” Billy said as he moved forward through the air.
After about two hours, Billy was stunned by the sight before him.
Thousands of miles away, there was a wall that stretched endlessly in all directions, both horizontally and vertically. It was a mix of reality and illusion, similar to the cosmic barriers he had seen before.
Additionally, directly in front of Billy, there was a hole in the wall, tens of kilometers wide and long.
A bridge, about four or five kilometers wide, extended from the hole. Its material was indiscernible.
At that moment, many people were coming and going on the bridge, creating a lively scene.
“Billy, have we arrived?” Purple Spirit’s voice sounded again.
“Yes,” Billy responded. “This is the entrance to the Abyssal Depths.”
“The bridge ahead connects to the first city within the Abyssal Depths, which is also the largest city there, called Abyssal City. Most of the forces within the Abyssal Depths have branches in Abyssal City.”
This information was naturally mentioned in the information flow sent to him by Kallie Lowery.
“Let’s go in and take a look. Maybe someone has seen Miss Sanaa,” Purple Spirit suggested.
“Alright,” Billy nodded and flew towards the bridge.
Soon, Billy landed on the bridge.
He looked around and saw many vendors on both sides of the bridge selling various goods.
Billy also checked the cultivation levels of the surrounding crowd. Most people had concealed their auras, but those who hadn’t were at the Mystic Kun Realm.
After walking forward for a while, Billy passed through the hole in the wall and saw a moderately sized city within his line of sight.
It was likely Abyssal City!
From time to time, strong individuals and various flying creatures flew over the city.
“You there, interested in a Mid-Tier Spirit Earth Pill?” A vendor called out to Billy after he had taken only a few steps forward.
Before Billy could respond, the vendor continued, “You seem to be in a hurry. If I’m not mistaken, you’re heading to Abyssal City for business?”
“Good eye!” Billy smiled faintly and stopped in front of the vendor’s stall.
He had heard from Piper Avila of Gathering of Immortals Pavilion that Spirit Earth Pills were used by Kun Realm warriors to enhance their cultivation levels.
Mid-Tier Spirit Earth Pills were suitable for Controlled Kun Realm warriors, while High-Tier Spirit Earth Pills were for Mystic Kun Realm experts.
“Is this your first time in Abyssal City?” the vendor asked.
“You can tell?” Billy responded.
“Haven’t you noticed that everyone around here has concealed their cultivation?” the vendor explained. “In the Abyssal Depths, it’s best to keep a low profile if you’re not at the Mystic Kun Realm; otherwise, you might attract unwanted attention.”
“I see,” Billy smiled again.
“Are you interested in Mid-Tier Spirit Earth Pills?” the vendor continued. “With your current cultivation level, refining one Mid-Tier Spirit Earth Pill could at least break through one level!”
“How much?” Billy asked as he picked up a Mid-Tier Spirit Earth Pill and examined it.
“We trade goods for goods here,” the vendor explained. “Everything on Abyssal Bridge is bartered.”
“Do you have higher-grade Chi Condensing Pills?” Billy asked after putting down the Spirit Earth Pill.
Although he was already at the sixth-rank Controlled Kun Realm, using his Sky Burial Blade technique still consumed four to five times his true energy instantly.
The Chi Condensing Pills he had previously refined could no longer meet his energy needs; even taking them all at once wouldn’t quickly restore his true energy.
“Chi Condensing Pills?” The vendor was taken aback. “You’re asking the right person. To be honest, I’m the only one on Abyssal Bridge with mystic-grade Chi Condensing Pills.”
“What exactly are mystic-grade Chi Condensing Pills?” Billy asked.
“You’ve never heard of mystic-grade Chi Condensing Pills?” The vendor was surprised again.
“Sorry,” Billy smiled.
“You really haven’t heard of them?” The vendor shrugged. “Alright then!”
“Let me explain. Even for Mystic Kun Realm warriors who have exhausted their true energy, taking a mystic-grade Chi Condensing Pill has an immediate effect.”
“For early to mid-stage Mystic Kun Realm warriors, their true energy will be instantly restored to peak levels. For late-stage Mystic Kun Realm warriors, it will at least recover six to seven tenths!”
“Really?” Billy’s eyes lit up slightly.
“However, mystic-grade Chi Condensing Pills are rare treasures. It depends on whether you have something of equal value to trade,” the vendor continued.
“Have you heard of soul water?” Billy asked.
“Soul water?” The vendor was puzzled for a moment before shaking his head. “Forgive my ignorance; I’ve never heard of it…”
Halfway through his sentence, he stopped and looked intently at Billy. “Are you talking about soul water from Deadland?”
“You’ve heard of it?” Billy smiled.
He had been worried that people outside Deadland wouldn’t know what soul water was. He didn’t expect someone to recognize it!
“Are you sure it’s the kind that can quickly restore mental power?” The vendor asked again.
“Of course!” Billy nodded.
“How much do you have?” The vendor’s eyes lit up.
In martial arts, mental power is difficult to train separately; it can only improve passively with cultivation progress.
Therefore, items specifically used to enhance mental power are rare. As one advances in martial arts, mental power becomes increasingly important-often more so than true energy.
So when the vendor learned that Billy had soul water specifically for enhancing mental power, he couldn’t hide his excitement.
Soul water was a rare treasure!
“It depends on how many mystic-grade Chi Condensing Pills you have,” Billy smiled.
“I have ten,” the vendor replied.
“Can this bottle trade for ten mystic-grade Chi Condensing Pills and ten Mid-Tier Spirit Earth Pills?” Billy took out a small bottle filled with soul water from his storage ring.
“Is this really soul water?” The vendor asked again.
“You can try a drop,” Billy offered.
“I’ll try it,” the vendor said as he took a drop of soul water into his mouth.
The next moment, his eyes lit up again.
“It really is soul water!” He paused briefly before continuing. “But this bottle is a bit small; it can only trade for five mystic-grade Chi Condensing Pills and five Spirit Earth Pills…”
“Forget it then! No deal!” Billy took back the bottle and turned to leave.
He didn’t actually know the value of soul water; he was just testing the vendor.
“Wait… hold on!” The vendor quickly chased after him.
“Alright, let’s be friends. I’ll give you eight mystic-grade Chi Condensing Pills and five Spirit Earth Pills. How about that?”
“I’m in a hurry; where are the pills?” Billy asked.
He could tell from the vendor’s eyes that he was getting a good deal but didn’t want to haggle over it. He had plenty of soul water anyway.
“Here are the mystic-grade Chi Condensing Pills and Mid-Tier Spirit Earth Pills!” The vendor took out two small boxes from his storage ring and handed them to Billy.
“Deal!” Billy confirmed the authenticity of the pills before giving the soul water to the vendor.
“Do you have more soul water?” The vendor asked eagerly. “If you do…”
“I have plenty, but I don’t need anything right now,” Billy interrupted. “Goodbye!”
With that, he turned and left.
The vendor stood there, watching Billy’s departing figure with a complex expression…
