Chapter 86

Book:The Lycan Twins’ Abused Mate Published:2024-12-8

The twin brothers’ POV
Today was the day we decided to go back to our pack with our mate. It was high time we stopped playing around and introduced her to the rest of the Lycans members who didn’t know her. She would be introduced as our wife and mate, as well as the third-in-command daughter of the pack. We were going to take over the Lycan world and rule with our mate. She was going to rule beside us.
“Are you ready, honey?” Aiden asked her. Ava was busy packing her clothes inside her bag. “Almost!”
“I will be fast with whatever I’m doing,” she replied.
After that, she focused back on what she was doing. Ethan walked in with his bag. “This will be our last day in the human realm,” he announced. According to the rules, we wouldn’t be allowed to leave the Lycan kingdom once we became their kings.
“Yes, that’s true. We were glad we got to meet our mate in this realm, and we had a lot of wonderful memories together,” Aiden said.
“Okay, I’m done. We can leave now,” Ava replied smiling. I couldn’t wait to see my dear father.
We both eyed her. Wouldn’t she abandon us when she got to see her father? She had once done that to us. We hoped it wouldn’t happen again this time, like the last time she abandoned us for her father.
“Okay! Let’s be on our way,” she announced.
“Wait, I need to call my sis, Oliver,” she said.
“Okay, please be fast to say your goodbye,” we declared.
Ava took her phone and dialed Oliver’s phone number. She picked up after a ring.
“Hello, sis!” Oliver’s voice sounded.
“Oliver, I’m leaving and I need you to take good care of yourself,” Ava said. “I’m going to miss you a lot, and you’re free to visit me with your mate at the Lycan kingdom.”
“Oh, yes!! Today is the day you will be leaving the human realm,” Oliver uttered. “I’m going to miss you more, sister. Please take care of yourself as well. I will be sure to visit you with Roy.”
Ava replied, “Okay.”
After her long conversation with Oliver, she finally ended the call. My brother and I were getting impatient. We couldn’t wait to leave here with our mate.
“Are you done?” Ethan asked.
She responded, “Yes, we can leave now.”
Aiden helped her with her bags. She sat in the back seat with Aiden while I drove the car. We drove and passed through the bush before reaching the Lycan kingdom.
The first person Ava saw when she reached the kingdom was her father. Did she tell him we were coming?
The old man rushed toward her and gave her a warm fatherly hug.
“Oh, my beautiful daughter, Anne. How are you?” Chris asked.
She returned her father’s warm hug. “I’m good, father.”
“I miss you so much, Anne. I’m so happy you are finally here to stay with me. I can’t wait to see you living with me,” he declared.
We were not pleased with what our mate’s father said. We hated his arrangement. How could he shamelessly snatch our mate from us? He never even bothered to acknowledge our presence.
He was only focusing on his daughter.
“Cough! Cough!” Ethan coughed, drawing his attention to us.
“Oh, you are also here, my prince,” he said.
“What?!” I was shocked. We never existed when it came to his daughter. Who else drove his dear daughter down to this place? I was angry, but I could never show my displeased anger to him. After all, he was our mate’s father.
“Father, we are also here,” Ethan said. “We came together with your dearest daughter.”
“My bad! It’s my fault for not noticing you!” he said. “Please forgive me. I’m sorry.”
Aiden was silent all this while. He was thinking of how to take Ava back without offending her father. I knew this would happen. For God’s sake, we now had to drag our mate along with her father. She was mine.
After he apologized, he immediately stopped talking to Ethan and focused once more on his daughter. Urghh! I was pissed.
“We need to greet our father,” we announced.
“You can go ahead to see your father, my prince,” he said.
“What?!” What are you talking about, father? We need to go greet our father with our mate,” Aiden finally spoke. “We need her to come with us.”
“Is that necessary?” he asked. “I don’t think so.”
(What kind of word is this?)
“Father, she’s our mate and the rightful queen of this kingdom. She has to greet our imperial parents with us,” Ethan said.
“I never denied she is not your mate, my prince. It seems you have forgotten something important. Please remember that she’s yet to be crowned the Queen of this kingdom. She’s my daughter and according to the law, she must stay with me till she’s introduced to the pack and crowned their queen. By then she’s fully yours,” he mumbled.
We went silent. My brother and I stared at our silent mate, hoping she wouldn’t agree with what her father said, but what she did shocked us so that we nearly fainted.
“I agree with what my father said. I don’t want to be regarded as a cheap slut, and we should abide by the rules. I should follow my father home until you’re ready to crown me as your queen,” she said.
“But baby, we all lived together in the human realm. Do you remember that?” Ethan asked, frustrated.
“Yes, I remember, but Lycan law doesn’t exist there. We must abide by the law when we are staying here,” she replied. “But I can go with you to greet your Imperial parents, and after that, I will be going home with my father. What do you both think?”
We were speechless. No matter how we hoped to convince her, she never listened. We finally gave in to her suggestions.
“Okay, let’s do as you say. You can follow your father home after you greet our parents.”
We held her hand as we walked together to where we hoped to find our parents. As usual, Ava’s father tagged along with us.
“Good afternoon, father, and mother.” We bowed our heads in respect.
“Good afternoon, my king,” Ava and her father greeted.
We both looked at our mate. She called our father her king instead of calling him father. Our mother stood up and walked toward her.
“You are here, Anne,” Mother said, holding our mate’s hand. “I’m just seeing you clearly, darling. You look just like your mother. You are so beautiful.”
“Thank you, my Queen,” she smiled.
“Don’t call me that, darling. You can call me, Mother. We are family.”
She whispered, “Mother.”
“Good! You’re such a sweet girl. I hope my sons didn’t maltreat you when you were in the human realm. Tell me if they did, I’m going to deal with them.”
“Ah, no, Mother, they were so nice and protective of me. They treated me well. I’m blessed to have them as my mate,” Ava replied, blushing. It seemed she was going to get along so well with our mother. Mother liked her already.
We looked at our gloomy father; he didn’t seem to like her yet. It was written all over him. We knew she once questioned his authority, and he was still angry with her because of that. He hated her, but couldn’t touch or hurt her.
“You are back,” the Lycan king spoke. “Welcome back, sons. You made me proud.”
“Thank you, Father,” we responded. “We are here to introduce our mate to you again. This is Anne, the third-in-command daughter. This beautiful maiden is our destined mate and the soon-to-be queen.”
“Oh,” the king whispered. “No need to tell me all this. I know who she is. Chris, is she not your daughter? You’re lost but found daughter.”
“Yes, my king. She’s Anne, my dearest daughter,” Ava’s father responded.
Our father never bothered to hide his hatred for his daughter when talking to him. The room was tense, and our father was giving out his powerful aura.
“Your name is Anne, right?” he asked our mate.
“Yes, my king,” she gently replied. She was so calm when dealing with the king.
“I was told you’re my son’s mate,” he said. “Is that true?”
With a smile on her face, she replied, “Yes, my king.”
This was not our first meeting. I hope you remember that,” the king said.
“Yes, my king,” Ava responded. “I’m sorry for the last time. I’m deeply sorry, and I hope you will forgive me. I never meant to question your authority,” she apologized. Ava apologized to the king, but he was still not satisfied.
“Well, well, you guys are dismissed. I need to rest,” he said. “Aiden, meet me in my office!”
