Ava’s POV
“Hi, honey,” Aiden wrapped his hand around my waist before kissing me on my forehead. “How are you, my baby girl?”
“I was fine, darling,” I retorted, resting on his chest. It felt warm.
“Hi, brother!” I heard Ethan’s jealous voice. “It’s my turn to hold our mate.”
“Our mate, not yours alone,” Aiden corrected him.
“Whatever,” he said before snatching me away from him.
“Tell me, darling. How are you?” he inquired.
“I was good, thank you for asking,” I answered, smiling.
“We are here to announce something urgent to you,” they both said.
Curiously, I asked them, “And what is that? What do you want to tell me?”
“Our father needed us. He wanted us to come home,” they said.
“Oh, is that all? You made me frightened. I thought it was something big that you wanted to say. Okay, so when are you leaving?” I implored.
“We needed to leave right away,” they announced.
“Really? Are you for real?” I asked. “You mean you are leaving right away?”
“Yes, honey, don’t be mad at us. It’s not our fault,” they mumbled.
“Can’t we go together?” I asked them.
“No, honey, if we all went home together, we would be forced to ascend the throne. You know our father is too smart. We want to enjoy our time with you because we won’t have much time to be together if we ascend the throne. We will be busy sorting out our pack duties. We want you to wait for us. We will be back soon,” they replied.
“Okay, but I am going to miss you guys a lot,” I said, caressing their hair.
“We are going to miss you too. We will miss you very much. We promise not to make you wait too much. We will return to you soon,” Ethan declared.
“Okay, I will be expecting your return.”
After our discussion, they both refused to go before sleeping with me. Being with them was an amazing thing. I was full of joy in my heart. The day they accepted me as their mate was a blessing. I couldn’t wait to be their wife. I couldn’t wait to carry their child. I couldn’t wait to have a family of my own with them. They would both make amazing papas for our children. Being apart from them was something I despised. I hated being parted from my beloved mates. I had no choice but to allow them to take their leave. It was getting boring. Everywhere was boring. They had just left, and it felt as if it had been a year.
“Aww, I miss their smell,” I murmured, sniffing their clothes. I let myself drool on their scent.
“Ethan,” I tried to mind link him.
They had already taught me how everything worked. Except for the fact that I had yet to shift into my wolf, I knew everything there was to know about the Lycan.
“Hey, baby, what’s wrong?” I heard Ethan’s panicked voice in my mind.
“Hahaha, chill, honey. Nothing is wrong. I just want to tell you that I fucking miss you a lot.”
“You made me feel scared. I thought something was wrong because this is your first time using the mind link method,” he said.
“I miss you too, honey. Remember that I can never breathe without you by my side. You are my life. Ava, you are my everything,” he confessed.
I began to blush. My whole body was simmering. My face was rosy like a red tomato. I liked it when he always said this.
“I love you too. You are my sunshine, my king, and my everything. You’re my God,” I declared. “I appreciate you coming into my life,” I announced, mind-linking them at the same time.
“My dick got thrilled. My heart raced when we heard you declare your feelings,” they replied. “We will always love you, our Luna Queen. Wait for us. We will be back soon for you.”
After that, mind linking and talking to them, I wrapped myself in their clothes, covering myself in their scent.
The day seemed to pass by quickly without my mates by my side. I was lonely, and everything seemed boring to me. I kept watching movies to take my mind off of them, but nothing seemed to take them off my mind.
I needed to ring my sister, Oliver. I picked up my phone to call her. At first, I felt guilty because of my mates; I had never been in touch with her for a long time. They occupied all the opportunities. I dialed Oliver’s number, and she picked it up on the second ring.
“Hello,” she said. “It has been a long time, sister.”
“Yes, it’s indeed been a long time. How are you, Oli?” I asked.
“I am good, sister,” she replied. “How are you as well? I hope you are doing great with your mates.”
“Yes, sister, I am doing just fine with them. Are you at home?” I asked.
“Yes, I am at home with my mate, Roy. Are you coming over?” she asked.
“Can I?” I inquired.
“Of course, sister, you can come over. I have a lot of things I want to discuss with you,” she said.
“Okay then, I’m on my way.”
I could feel how happy she was. She sounded so happy on the phone. I missed her. Maybe spending time with her would make me forget about them a bit. I stood up and scrambled to the bathroom. I relaxed under the warm water. After I was done bathing, I took the towel and began to dry myself. I creamed my body and put on a pretty short red cloth. I stood elegantly in front of the mirror. This was perfect. I was good to go. I took the car keys and stepped out of the room. I was on my way to Oliver’s place. I turned on the music, singing along with the musician.
My wolf stirred in me. “Something is wrong, Ava,” Camilla said.
Something was going on. I looked at the driver’s side mirror, and my guess was right. I saw a black car following my car.
“Who dares follow this Queen? I have no enemies except my father and Mr. Drake. Did they find me already? If so, I am excited. I can’t wait to meet them and have my revenge on them.”
