Chapter 39

Book:The Lycan Twins’ Abused Mate Published:2024-12-8

Lycan King Miller’s POV
I angrily left her and her daughter alone. I can’t tolerate her flank view. All the gibberish she is spitting out. My son Aiden is the next in line to the throne. He will sanction and lead the Lycan world with a strong Lycan female beside him as his queen. Not a vulnerable, pathetic human. I once approved of Anna as a female, but with the stuff she did to my daughter, I can guarantee she can never be the Lycan queen. She is too wicked and callous. She has a dark heart. I keep marveling. What if Isabella was telling the truth about Aiden meeting his mate in the human realm? What if she is a human? No, I guess she is wrong. I must call and ask my son about this.
“Aiden,” I mind-linked my son.
“Yes, father,” he answered back immediately.
“Your attention is needed in my office. Come straight away,” I told my lad.
“Okay, father,” the mind-link ceased.
I sat comfortably in my office chair waiting for him.
I heard someone knock on the door.
“Yes, come in,” I uttered. “Father,” Aiden called and tipped his head as he moved closer to me.
“Aiden, have you met your mate?” I asked him immediately to hear his answer, but he stayed muffled. Fear was inscribed all over his face. I asked him the same question again. “Tell me, son. Have you met your mate?”
He glared straight into my eyes. He told a lie.
“No, father. I am yet to meet my fated one,” he lied.
The words that came out of his mouth is different from his body. His body betrayed him. He was shaking and terrified as if something terrible had happened to him. Who is he scared of? This is the first time my boy got scared like this, and it makes me more curious to puzzle out who his mate is.
“Are you sure?” I asked him, and he nodded his head in return. “But Isabella said, Anna told her you already met your mate in the human realm. Is that true?”
“No, father. I have no mate yet and I don’t know where Anna heard something like that,” he answered back.
“Okay, I trust you, son. I was scared, thinking you already met your chosen one,” I notified him.
“Scared? Why are you afraid, father?” he exclaimed.
“I am scared thinking you meet her and she is a mortal. You know, humans are weak. They are not fit to be crowned as the queen. Not just an ordinary queen, but the mother of all the Lycans. I trust your decision. I know you can never accept a mortal as your mate. That is what I wanted to ask you, “You can go now, son.”
“Thank you, father, for trusting me,” he said as he left my office.
My little boy is playing smart with me. He already met his mate, and that bitch has manipulated my son against me. Aiden never lied to me ever since he was born. I know what I am going to do. I linked his brother, Ethan. If he refuses to tell me, I am confident that Ethan will be inquisitive in telling me. Who the hell is this girl?
“Ethan, come over here. I need to ask you some personal questions and make sure you never tell your brother before coming over to my office.”
I thought Ethan was a reasonable person and that he was going to tell me the truth, but to my enormous surprise, he refused to tell me. He denies knowing or seeing any girl with his brother except Anna. He lied.
“Who is she?” the brothers are desperate to protect and hide her identity from me. They never wanted me to know who she is. I let the matter get by for some time before carrying out my scrutiny on her. Right now, I need to solve the packing issue.

Aiden’s POV
“Aiden, come over to my office now.” I heard my father’s voice in my mind.
He was mind-linking me. I never knew he wanted to ask about my mate. I assumed he had a clue about the evil being among the pack members, not knowing he was trying to scrutinize me.
Did he think I was a fool? Why should I jeopardize my mate’s life? Why should I tell him about her when I knew the kind of man he was?
I regret my actions with Anna. I regret spitting the deed out when I was angrily dealing with that slut. She had the guts to tell Isabella about my mate, which led to my father being pessimistic about everything.
However, I missed my mate. My Lycan portrayed her image in my mind. I must leave the pack to see her. If not, I could go crazy any moment from now. I was lost in my emotions, not noticing my brother existed.
“Brother,” he hollered. “Our father called me, and I just came from his office now.”
“What did he want?” I asked out of curiosity.
“He’s trying to interrogate me. He wants to know who your mate is,” he said.
“Damn! This old man again,” I cussed. “What did you tell him?”
“What do you think? Do you think I will tell him about Ava? Heck no! I told him you haven’t met your chosen one yet. We know that we both share the same mate. I can’t wait to see his ghastly furious expression when he gets a whiff of it,” he let out a chuckle, making fun of our imperial father.
“We must be careful. You know, he will start investigating us starting today. Ethan, you should be careful. Don’t tell anyone in the pack about her. At least not now,” I warned my brother.
“Trust me, brother. I won’t,” he stated.
“I’m thinking when we’re out tomorrow alone for investigation, we should check on Ava. I can no longer take it anymore. I think I will die if I don’t see her and caress my mate,” I suggested, to which he agreed.
“But we must be careful,” he cautioned.
“Yes, I will. We will.”

Ava’s POV
I kept hemming my arms and thinking about Aiden and Ethan. I was in love with them. I wanted to see them and tell them how I felt for them. I was hurting in the name of love. I didn’t know loving someone could be painful as hell. All my grief over all the years was nothing compared to the one I was enacting every second.
Oliver had always been here, solacing me. I always bluffed in front of her. I didn’t want her to be bothered or worried. I was always strong in front of my baby sister. I tried hard to put a smile on my face, but deep down in my heart, no one knew what I was enduring.
School was over, and we were on a holiday. Oliver wanted to impel me to go home with her, but I refused. I didn’t want Dad and Mom to get into trouble or notice me being unhappy.
She asked me many times, but I kept declining her. Olivia had the option to go home on her own, but she refused to go home unless I went with her. She called Dad to tell him not to worry about us not coming home. She lied that we were busy studying with our friends.
We were home. Oliver was telling me a very funny joke. I laughed so hard because she was funny. Out of the blue, we heard the bell ring.
“I’m coming!” she yelled, standing up to check who was at the door.
I was worried when I didn’t hear her voice. I stood up and followed her out of the room.
“Oliver, who is there?” I asked,” Oliver, who is-?” I’m surprised when I came across the person I never waited for. It was Aiden and Ethan, the twin brothers.
My jaws were still open. I was stunned.
“Ava,” Ethan, called my name.
“What are you doing here?” Oliver flings at them. “Why did you show up again when she had started to forget about you? Why? You should never come back.”
“Oliver, I called her. Calm down, sister.”
“No, sister, I won’t calm down. They don’t deserve you. They made you pass through hell. What are they doing here?” she glared back at me.
She confronted them and asked them. “What are you guys doing here, Aiden and Ethan?”
“We haven’t seen Ava yet, and we were here to clear things up with her as well,” they both alleged at the same time.
“Explain stuff, my foot. Do you think it is easy like that? You left without saying anything or goodbye to her,” she unleashes.
We called to tell her we were leaving, but her phone was off. We also called your number, but it was switched off as well. We are sorry,” they explained.
“But-” she was about to talk again when I cut her off. “It’s okay Oliver, I can handle this.” I smiled at her.
“Please do, sister,” she said. “I will excuse myself now so that you guys can chat. She went inside our bedroom, leaving me alone with the twin brothers.
“Listen, Ava,” Ethan began. “We didn’t mean it. It was an emergency from our father. He asked us to come home immediately that day. We tried our best to reach you, but your phone was switched off. We are sorry. Can you forgive us?”
(What should I do? The guys I have been missing and lusting after day and night are now in front of me, apologizing to me. What am I to them? Am I, not just a friend? But I am in love, not just one, but both of them. Call me shameless, but I don’t fucking care.)
“Ava, please say something,” Aiden’s voice yanked me out of my thoughts.
“Oh, sorry. What were you talking about?” I asked them.
“Ava, we know we both hurt you. We left without a proper goodbye, but it is not our fault. Our pack, I mean, our father needs us. He asked us to come home. Can you forgive us?” Ethan stated.
“It’s okay. I am happy you guys are back.” That’s the only thing I thought of saying.
I was trying to disguise my happiness.
“Thank you for forgiving us,” they whispered. “Can we come in now?”
“Oh, my bad. I am sorry. Please come in,” I stated.
They both entered the room. “You are free to sit.”
“Thank you,” Aiden mumbled with a smile. His smile makes me want to kiss him as I keep gazing at his brims. I blushed when I remembered the steamy erotica dream I had.
“Pttf!” he chuckled, catching me staring at his lips.
“Umm…” This is so embarrassing. I was caught. I covered my face with my hands.
“Why are you covering your beautiful face, baby girl,” I heard Aiden’s husky voice.
He called me baby girl because I blushed so hard, almost whirling red. Did he feel the same way as I do? I ask myself.
“Umm, nothing, I am. I-I…”
“Stop talking. I saw you staring at my lips,” he stated.
I wished the ground would open to eat me. This is so embarrassing. He saw me. Why is he saying this in front of his brother, Ethan? But come to think of it, how will it feel when his lips touch mine? Oh my goodness, Ava. Snap out of your dirty thoughts. My cunt throbbed because their shaft was starting to ignite me.
