Chapter 17

Book:The Lycan Twins’ Abused Mate Published:2024-12-8

Lucas’ POV
What, I, Lucas Rolland couldn’t have, no one else could. I wanted Ava, and she was going to be mine, whether she liked it or not. No one else could take her away from me.
She was my woman. She was mine alone. She was my possession. She was mine to rule over. Seeing her every day and every minute with the school bad boys, the twin brothers, made my blood boil. Seeing her smiling and happy with them made me want to die in rage. She was only supposed to smile at me. She was only supposed to stare at me and cling to me all day.
Why couldn’t she see that they only wanted her for fuck? They only wanted her torso, not her.
Was she that stupid or was her brain not functioning well enough to know their intentions? Damn it! That bitch! I needed to go confront her.
I waited patiently until it was time for school lunch. I spotted her again in the company of the twin brothers, laughing like a fool with them. She was never that happy when we dined together. I’d never seen her laugh so hard when she was with me before. She never allowed me to hold her hand, yet she allowed them to do all of that to her?
She was a real bitch. Were they any good compared to me? I bet they weren’t. We were both popular with the girls at school. Why did that slut choose them over me?
I sauntered over and called her name, earning her attention. “Hi, Ava. Can I talk to you?”
“What do you want to discuss with her? You’re free to say whatever you want to her privately here, but make it quick. As you can see, we’re heading to the cafeteria to eat,” one of the twin brothers’ interjected.
“Hey, dude, mind your own fucking business. I’m not talking to you, or is your name Ava now?”
“What do you mean? If you can’t say whatever you want to say here, forget it and fuck off, little dude,” he said, jabbing me away.
“Ava is my girlfriend, and I think I have the right to talk to her as her boyfriend,” I sneered.
“What the fuck did you say? What are you talking about? Who is your girlfriend?” he asked, casting a dangerous glance that made my body shiver beyond my ingenuity.
Was he trying to make me fear him? No. Never. I would never back off. She was always supposed to be mine.
“Look here, dude. Everyone on campus knows Ava is my girlfriend, so back off because I’m here to take what is mine,” I snapped.
“No, she’s mine!”
I heard him let out a growl. It was powerful and more animalistic. Before I could answer him back, he sent me whisking across the aisle. I tried to stand up and fight back as a man, but I couldn’t. I felt as if my bones were smashed. It was indeed shattered.
I was terrified when I saw him coming for me. Oh my goodness! I should never have messed with a man like him. He threw another punch at me. I was damn sure I would die a painful death.
“I’m begging you! I’m sorry! I won’t go near her again. Please forgive me!” I opened my sass and begged for my life.
“I don’t want to forgive you, human. You’re bold, too bold that you think you can snatch my mate away from me,” he refused as he continued to hit me. “Anyone who will glimpse or lust over my mate shall pay with their vitality, and you shall pay for lusting over my gorgeous mate. You shall reimburse with your life. You shall pay for fighting me over my wife and queen. I must get rid of unwanted seeds like you, and you just prove to me that you are my foe in love. So, tell me, why should I spare and pardon my enemy’s life?”
He clasped me by my collar, forcing me up. I wept, my body aching. My bones were smashed. I tried to implore the rest of our classmates to save me, but none of them spared me a glance.
“Ava!” I cried out her name. “Please forgive me! Don’t let him kill me. I’m sorry! I will never come near you again.”
“Stop! I don’t want to listen to your voice again. I need to kill you fast so that I can go and dine with my beautiful mate. I don’t want to keep her waiting.”
Before he could finish me off, I heard a voice that screamed at him to stop.
“Stop!”
I opened my eyes to see who my savior was. It was his brother.
“Stop it, Ethan. Don’t kill him,” he ordered him.
“But, brother, he’s our enemy. He is a threat to us, and we should never have a soft spot for our enemy. Remember what our father taught us!” he yelled at his brother.
“I know. I want to rip his head off as well, but many people are watching. You should pay more scrutiny to your behavior.”
“Who gives a damn? He’s craving over my mate. He deserves to pay me back with his life, and he should be willing to do so!” he growled before proceeding to rip my head from my body. He was dead set on killing me.
“Stop right now! Stop all of this, please!” Finally, Ava spoke up. “Don’t kill him for my sake.”

Ethan’s POV
How dare he?
A mere human with bones I could mash was lusting after my unclaimed mate in front of me. He was even arguing with me about what was mine.
I wanted him to die. I wanted him to pay with his life. I wanted him to know the consequence of wanting to snatch my mate away from me.
I was trying to resist him and give him the chance to say whatever he wanted to say to my mate, but he kept rejecting my kind offer.
That bastard! I lost it and let my Lycan take control when he mumbled that he was my mate’s boyfriend, and everyone in school knew they were a couple.
I wanted to kill him, to shed his body into pieces, but my mate stopped me. She screamed, and I immediately stopped what I was doing, but I made sure I slammed him hard on the floor, causing all of his bones to break off.
“Baby, I’m sorry. I’m sorry for letting you see the cruel side of me,” I apologized as I tugged her to my chest, sniffing and immersing myself in her scent.
I kept smooching her and walloping her ear lobe, neglecting the gazes on us. It felt like it was just the two of us in the peaceful world we created. Her moans motivated me to go further until I heard a bothersome voice whistle loudly in my head.
“How dare you, Ethan?! Stop what you’re doing with my mate!” Aiden’s voice echoed in my head.
“Your mate, or do you mean our mate, brother?” I corrected him.
“My mate. She’s mine because I remember you saying you didn’t want her. You chose those bitches. You chose them over her!” he howled dangerously, causing me to stop in an instant.
He was fucking scary and aggravated. He was ready to launch at me. After our father, my brother was the strongest Lycan in the pack, and he was even stronger with his mate. His dangerous aura refilled the atmosphere, suffocating me.
“Chill, brother. Ava is our mate. I want to be with her as well.”
“You don’t have the right, Ethan. You don’t want her, nor do you love her. Stay far away from her!” he yelled once more.
“I’ve always loved and wanted her. Those girls you see me with are just for show. I fuck them so I can forget my mate. I’m sorry, dude,” I explained.
“But…” His voice came out soft. “I should be the first person to tug her to my chest and kiss her,” he whined, whistling with jealousy.
I had no idea my brother could be so adorable when he was shy and jealous. He looked like a puppy.
“Wow, brother! Don’t tell me you’re jealous of me?” I said, making an effort to hide my mocking tone.
“Ethan!” he screamed.

Ava’s POV
I was tight-lipped. It was beyond my proficiency and ingenuity. He defended me. This was the first time a man had stood up for me.
I was happy when he told Lucas I was his. He liked me. Ethan wanted me as well, and my feelings were not a one-sided love again. I was on cloud nine. I was standing there with Oliver as both of them immersed themselves in a hot hectic conversation. They kept arguing with themselves.
I was prepared to beat up Lucas when he claimed he was my boyfriend. He was never mine, and I was never his.
Why did he have to lie and spread bad rumors about me?
He was trying to wreck my reputation in school, but before I could move to deal with that fucking stalker, I saw him sent flying away across the hall-way by Ethan.
I was taken aback by how powerful he was. Lucas’ bone cracked so loud and clear that I could hear it, and I was certain he crushed bones.
I stared at him, astonished as he walked towards the injured Lucas, radiating a cold aura. He was like a different man to me. This new Ethan exuded a dangerous aura, but despite his lethal appearance, I found him super sexy and hot. I wanted to get down on my knees for him.
He grabbed him by the collar. Lucas begged for forgiveness, sobbing and pleading to be spared, but Ethan refused and called me his mate. He told him he was a threat and an enemy to him, and he needed to pay him back with his life.
I was speechless, but I knew he was just trying to scare him away from me. He didn’t mean it. He could never kill him. He was just threatening him so that he wouldn’t bother me again, but he proved me wrong. He meant every word he said to Lucas. He was intending to kill him. He wanted to kill.
Aiden tried to make him stop, to forgive and leave Lucas, but Ethan spurned.
“Ava!” I could hear the atrocity in Lucas’ voice as he called my name. “Please forgive me!”
I didn’t want Ethan to stop because I wanted Lucas to learn his lesson the hard way, but I had no intention of killing him. He never offended me in ways that I couldn’t forgive, and he was never my enemy because he wasn’t worthy to be one in the first place.
“Make him stop,” he begged again. “I’m sorry!”
Aiden couldn’t stop his twin brother, so who am I to make him stop? I was just his friend, not his woman, so he wouldn’t listen to me.
“Make him stop. You can do it.” I heard Aiden’s soft voice whispering to me. “Only you can calm him down and make him stop before he could rip off his head.”
“What? Rip off his head with what?” I asked him with a questioning look. “He’s not holding a sharp object.”
I was scared. How could he rip off Lucas’ head without holding any harmful object with him?
“Make him stop, Ava! Now!” Aiden yelled.
“Stop! Please stop!” I screamed, and to my surprise, he immediately stopped.
Did I have a strong pull on him? Why did he stop just because I said so, when he ignored his twin brother?
What was going on? Why were they calling me mate when they knew my name was Ava?
I kept thinking about it, not realizing he was approaching me. He drew me to his chest and sniffed me with his snout in an instant, but I didn’t find it repulsive as I voluntarily allowed myself in his embrace, relaxing on his chest. It was peaceful.
A moan escaped my lips when he started to plant soft kisses on my neck and lick my ear lobe. I had forgotten we were in school. I had forgotten my best friend Oliver was standing beside me, while Aiden continued to watch us.
I never loathed everything Ethan was doing to me. I felt more at ease in his chest, and my body responded to his touch. I never knew this part of me existed. I never knew I could moan so sweetly. I never repudiated his touch.
I didn’t feel his touch disgusting. What I found in his touch and embrace was what I could never explain. It must have sounded crazy, but I wanted to get down with this hot dude.
I melt in his embrace, never wanting to leave his side. I wished the clock would stop ticking. I wanted him. I cherished him. I was in love with him and wanted to sleep with him.
All of a sudden, he stopped and stared at his brother, who appeared to be plotting a murder. They weren’t saying anything. They were just staring at each other.
What happened?
“Ethan,” I whispered, yearning for him to continue what he was doing.
Call me shameless, but I couldn’t care less. I didn’t care at all. What I cared about was the super hot dude in front of me. My eyes could only see him.
I was disappointed when he abruptly withdrew his hand from mine. Did he come to regret it? Was I expecting too much? Did he feel the same way I did, or was it a one-sided love? Was it all a figment of my imagination?
