Tensions Rise

Book:Revenge On My Ex Husband Published:2024-12-8

Days dragged on as Ella, Derek, and Rick meticulously planned their next steps. They couldn’t afford any slip-ups, not when Tania and her network were so close to the edge. Every conversation between Tania and Crystal was being monitored, every move they made mapped out. Yet, the more Ella watched, the more dangerous the game became. Her boys Leo and Liam were at the forefront of her mind, their safety paramount.
Rick was busy cross-referencing Tania’s financial transactions, looking for weak spots, while Derek set up more secure communication lines for them. The three of them worked in tandem, building a trap to bring down Tania and Crystal once and for all.
Meanwhile, at the mansion, Tania grew more frustrated with each passing day. Her attempts to seduce Ethan, to reignite the passion that once existed between them, were fruitless. She had underestimated Ethan’s emotional distance from her. He spent more and more time with Grace, his supposed daughter, leaving Tania seething in jealousy. She often found herself in the shadows of their conversations, watching them from afar, her fists clenched in rage. Every time she attempted to corner Ethan, he had an excuse, either engrossed in his work or focused on Grace.
“Damn it, Grace!” Tania hissed one night as she slammed a wine glass down, shattering it. She could feel her grip on Ethan slipping away. It wasn’t just Ella haunting her nightmares it was the tangible, growing bond between Ethan and Grace. She couldn’t shake the feeling that the little girl was pulling Ethan further from her, making it harder to manipulate him like she used to, the cracks in her confidence were starting to show. She needed Ethan back on her side before it was too late.
Elsewhere, Victor was still investigating the tangled relationship between Tania and Fabian. He had hit multiple dead ends in his attempt to track down Grace’s real father. Every lead he pursued seemed to vanish into thin air, leaving more questions than answers. He suspected there was something darker at play but couldn’t quite put his finger on it.
Ethan, exhausted from the emotional toll of his collapsing marriage, confided in Victor one evening over drinks.
“I don’t know what to do anymore,” Ethan sighed, staring into his glass. “Everything with Tania feels off, and I can’t help but think about Ella. I miss her, Vic. I miss her, and the boys. I can’t shake this feeling that I need to make things right, but I don’t even know how to start.”
Victor leaned back, contemplating his friend’s words. “You need to stay focused. There’s more going on here than we realize. Fabian’s connection to Tania runs deep, but something’s not adding up. And I haven’t been able to find a single trace of Grace’s real father. It’s like he doesn’t exist.”
Ethan rubbed his face in frustration. “I just want this to be over. I want Ella and my boys back. I need them back.”
Victor nodded. “I’ll keep digging. But you need to be careful, Ethan. There’s more to this than just Tania’s lies. You’re not the only one she’s trying to control.”
The weight of those words lingered as Ethan stared out into the night, hoping that soon, the chaos would end, and his family would be whole again.
