Ethan came home to a very quiet house, looking at the Grace must have gone bed he thought, heading to his room he met Tania staring at the mirror smiling like she won a lottery. Clearing his throat to alert her that’s he there, Tania turned to face him grinning,
“you finally decided to come home, how was work, she said
Ethan grunted closing their bedroom door, he tossed his jacked on the bed rolled his sleeves and folded his arms while leaning on the wall. Ethan stared at Tania his eyes devoid from any emotion with a cold voice he said I happen to find out that my company is missing a huge amount of money.
“i…what? Tania said, her eyes bouncing around the room, I don’t know anything about that Ethan she said nervously. “hmmm, so you mean to say that you are not involved in the missing company funds Ethan said. “what are you saying Ethan, do you really think that I would take your company funds! How could you accuse me of that she exclaimed furiously.
Ethan smiled at Tania, his fingers gently brushing through her hair, but his mind was elsewhere. He had pieced together the clues, and every new revelation about Tania made his heart colder. But now was not the time to confront her, Instead, he decided to play the game strategically.
“You’re right,” he murmured softly, leaning in closer. “I’m sorry for doubting you. It’s been a long day, and I’ve been under a lot of pressure at work. Let’s not talk about business tonight.”
Tania’s grin widened, the tension in her shoulders slowly easing. She slid her arms around his neck, whispering sweetly, “I know you’re under stress, darling. I’m always here for you.”
Ethan kissed her forehead, but his smile never reached his eyes. Soon, he thought. Soon, you’ll pay for everything you’ve done.
As Tania curled up on the bed thinking she had adverted the problem, Ethan’s phone buzzed in his pocket. He glanced at it discreetly, it was a message from Victor. The missing funds were only a fraction of what he was about to uncover.
Slipping into the adjacent study, he dialed Victors line quickly. “I need the final report on Tania’s accounts and her dealings. No more delays.”
He hung up the phone, staring out the window into the dark night. he needed to gather all as much evidence as he can.
