(Six years later)
Two identical twin boys sat down on their bed as they watched their mother pack their things. Their mother had told them that she had just been transferred to head their company branch in New York. The boys were feeling nostalgia because they were going to miss their friends.
“Boys, please I need you both to understand that if mummy does not take this transfer, she will be fired and there will be no money to take care of both of you.” Their mother pleaded with them.
“But we are going to miss our friends.” Leo, one of the twins said.
“Exactly, and it will be hard to get new friends there.” Liam the second twin complained.
Their mother was frustrated but she could not get herself to be angry with the boys.
“Don’t worry, you will make new friends there too, please.” Their mother pleaded.
Just then, the doorbell chimed and Leo went to open the door.
“Uncle Fabian!” Leo shouted excitedly.
“Oh, my boy! How are you and Liam and mummy?” Uncle Fabian asked as he carried Leo in his arms.
“Mummy is fine, she is getting ready to pack,” Leo said and pouted his lips.
Uncle Fabian laughed as he entered the room where their mother was.
“Hello Liam, are you that angry that you refused to come greet Uncle Fabian?” Fabian said jokingly as he put Leo down and picked up Liam from the bed.
“Hello Fabian, how are you?” Their mother asked.
“I’m good Ella, just that I’m going to miss you and the boys,” Fabian said.
“I know right, I will miss you too,” Ella said. “You have been a very good helper to me and I do appreciate it,” Ella added.
When Ella woke up to see herself in the hospital six years ago, she was stranded as she did not know where to go, it was Fabian who had come to her rescue. According to what she was told, Fabian was the one who had brought her to the hospital after he saw her being thrown into the river.
He had gone to the river that day to clear his head and enjoy the fresh breeze when he saw a suspicious-looking car stop at the river. From the point where he was, he could see the person but the person could not see him.
He told Ella that he had prepared to go but the person was acting suspicious so he decided to wait and watch what the person was going to do and to his shock, he saw the person bringing out a woman from the back seat of the car and then threw the woman into the well. He had waited till the person left before he went to the river and brought her out and took her to the hospital.
He said he knew the person would be expecting the body to float to the surface and if there was no evidence of her being killed, they would keep on searching for her so he removed her clothes and wrapped her body with his jacket and blanket before taking her to to hospital.
Ella had to believe what Fabian said because she could not recall anything about the accident but she could remember what led to it and the betrayal.
Thankfully, she did not lose the pregnancy and after nine months, she gave birth to her twin sons Leo and Liam. Since then, Fabian had been a constant help to her while she bid her time to go back and take her revenge on the man who had betrayed her.
The opportunity presented itself when she was promoted in her place of work to head the branch in New York. She had happily agreed because she was now ready to deal with Ethan.
“You are welcome,” Fabian answered.
He spent the night in her place and the next morning he took them to the airport.

“You betrayed me!” Ella shouted pointing the gun at Tania.
“Wait Ella, you don’t understand, we thought you were dead,” Tania said pleading with Ella.
“The death that you planned!” Ella revealed causing Tania to pause in shock. “Oh, you thought I did not know, you betrayal, now I am back and I will make sure you pay for it,” Ella added.
“Please Ella, please I’m begging you, remember I am your baby sister.” Tania pleaded.
“Shut up! We will meet in hell.” Ella said and shot Tania on her forehead.
“Nooooooo!” Tania shouted as she jumped from the bed.
It was a dream but it felt so real that she was sweating and panting and her heart was beating fast.
“What is it?” Ethan asked her sounding concerned.
He had been sleeping peacefully beside Tania but her chilling scream had woke him up.
“I just had a nightmare,” Tania answered.
“Really? It must have been so horrible for you to scream out like that, what was it about?” Ethan asked.
“I don’t know, I can’t remember, but it was really scary and it felt real,” Tania said lying.
She remembered but she could not tell Ethan the dream. Though she and Ethan had been married for six years, she knew he still loved Ella even with her giving birth to their daughter, his heart was still with Ella.
“It’s alright, it’s just a nightmare, please try to sleep,” Ethan said already falling asleep again.
“I will after I take a glass of water,” Tania said and stood up from the bed.
She went to the kitchen and sat down on the dining table with the glass of water in her hands.
She began to think if Ella was truly dead. After that day when her clothes were found by the river, she was unable to reach the killer she hired. When she tried to contact him through the people who introduced him to her, she was told that he had relocated. She had found it strange at that time but decided to let it go but now, things were going through her mind.
What if the man had double-crossed her and did not kill Ella, after all, it was her clothes that were found and not her body. She suddenly became uneasy like she was being watched. She stood up and walked cautiously to the window. She slowly opened the curtains but she did not see anyone. She heaved a sigh of relief and was about to close the curtains when something cut her eyes.
She opened it again and she saw Ella smiling at her mockingly.
