After spending some alone time with her twin, Alex went and took a shower, desperately needing to clean herself up. She spent the rest of the evening watching tv with her folks and finishing what she needed to for school.
Monday, she had a decent day at school, and a late shift at work. She got a couple of texts from Beck, during her shift at work, but didn’t bother reading them until she got home.
She felt her anger rise a bit after reading them once through, then read them again. At first, he apologized for trying to be controlling. But then, he said that he would explain everything when he saw her again.
“‘When,'” she said to the empty room.
She was shocked at the gall he had, assuming that she was going to see him again after he treated her the way he did. It was appalling.
“Beck,” she wrote. “Fuck you.”
She paused a second, but then quickly removed the lines with a sigh and started again.
“Beck, I’ve been patient with you. You can’t seem to understand that I don’t want to be anyone’s girlfriend. Even if you were my boyfriend, you still wouldn’t get to decide what I would be able to do. That’s not how relationships work. I’m sorry, but this isn’t working out for me. I’m moving way too fast for you. You’re not a bad guy, and you aren’t terrible in bed, no matter what other girls might have told you. You’re bad at the relationship part. You’d only get hurt if we were to stay together. I’m sorry if that’s not what you wanted to hear. I know guys hate when girls want to be friends, but I’d alright with that if you wanted that. Okay?”
Feeling down for having to break up with him like that, she tossed her phone down and went to get ready for bed. A little later she checked it again and saw his reply.
“I’m sorry that you and I disagree how on relationships work. I was raised differently, I guess. I don’t understand why you would ever want to do something like get nude on the internet, but that’s beside the point. Thank you for giving me a shot, and I appreciate you being honest with me. Also, I appreciate the offer to stay friendly, but I don’t need any more friends. Especially ones like you.”
She scowled, irritated and confused by the response. She couldn’t believe that he actually thought that he had the right to tell her what to do or control her. Sliding into bed, she turned out her light and tried not to think about what an ass he’d been.

Tuesday, her day started much the same as it had the day before. She went to class, had an afternoon shift at work, and got off just before the dinner rush. A few minutes before she left, she saw Bryce walk in and talk with Paris for a few minutes.
She walked up to him, looking at him curiously. “What’s up?”
“Hey Alex,” he said. “Can uh… we talk when you get a break?”
“I’m just about done for the day,” she said. “Give me a few minutes.”
“Gotcha,” he said. “It was nice to meet you,” he said to Paris.
The hostess grinned at Alex and raised an eyebrow as he turned away.
“Girl…” she said, her eyes suggestively wide. She giggled as Alex smirked at her.
Walking out to the parking lot, she saw Bryce standing near her car.
“Following me?” she asked.
“Yeah,” he replied. “You’re very stalkable.”
She looked at him curiously, not sure of how to take that.
“Yeah, that didn’t come out right,” he said, sighing.
“You didn’t text me Sunday, or yesterday,” she said, surprised to find that she was a little irritated at him.
“Well, I figured you didn’t need me being a horndog with you while you were working shit out with Beck.”
“Very intuitive of you,” she told him.
Did he actually think she was going to try and work things out with Beck? She didn’t think he was that stupid. But then again, maybe the situation wasn’t as obvious to him as it was to her.
“What do you want, Bryce?” she asked, sounding more irritated that she’d intended. She immediately felt bad, seeing the look of surprise that crossed his face.
“I’m sorry,” she said. “I’m just tired and I have to go meet Toni so we can go and get bikini waxes in a bit.”
“Ouch,” he said, offering a sympathetic wince. “Those aren’t exactly fun,” he added. “I’m sorry I didn’t text or call… okay?”
She shook her head, trying to wave the apology away.
“Damnit, Alex, look…” he said. “I couldn’t stay away, okay? I’m not some timid guy that’s going to apologize for needing to see you. That’s not me.”
“I know it’s not,” she said, staring at him intently for a second and feeling how vulnerable he was in the moment.
She figured that she should come clean about things and throw him a lifeline, as it were.
“I broke up with Beck last night.”
“Damn,” he said after a few seconds. “I mean that in a good way.”
She sighed. “I know he’s your friend, but I get the feeling that I dodged a bullet with him. Here, read what he texted me,” she said, unlocking her phone and handing it to him.
“Yeah,” Bryce said after a few seconds of reading. “I get it. His family is… like that, I guess. His dad is very misogynistic, from what I can tell.”
“Well thanks for the warning,” she said, sighing as she spun around to lean against her car with him.
“I’m sorry, but you know I would have warned you had I known he was like that. He’s never been that guy around me and the boys. I guess he’s got a sore spot for that type of thing.”
“Women thinking for themselves?” she asked, trying to lighten the mood. It seemed to come of more spiteful than she’d intended.
He chuckled. “No, porn.”
She raised an eyebrow. “He’s a 20-year-old guy… and he’s got a problem with porn?”
Bryce sighed. “Yeah, it has to do with his mom and dad. He doesn’t like to talk about it. He was raised to believe that it was an unforgivable sin. That whole family is a little nutty, to be honest.”
“Again, thanks for the warning,” she said, looking at him blankly for a few seconds before finally offering him the slightest hint of a smile.
“Sorry, but I’ve been distracted… well… by you,” he said.
“My boobs maybe,” she said, rolling her eyes.
“Well, they are part of you,” he pointed out, drawing a smirk from her.
He winked, then sighed and leaned his head back onto the car.
“Man… I can’t believe he said that shit. Beck has only ever been that slightly desperate friend that falls head over heels for any girl that shows the slightest interest in him. This is really the first time that I’ve ever seen his dad come out in him.”
She frowned, briefly empathizing, but then shook her head. “Well, he doesn’t get to treat me like that,” she said.
“No… he doesn’t,” he agreed. “That’s another reason I wanted to see you. I honestly figured that you’d broken up with him, but if you hadn’t, then I was going to come and try and talk you into it.”
“Oh yeah?” she asked. “What happened to me staying with him so that you could flirt with me behind his back?”
He winced. “I was horny?” he ventured. “Alright! I’ll admit that it was a stupid plan. It’s a dick thing to do to a friend, and it was shitty of me to ask that of you.”
She nodded, appreciating the words.
“So…” she said after a few seconds.
“How are you after all that?” he asked.
“I’m okay, I just don’t like feeling like this,” she said.
“Yeah, I know,” he said quietly after a few seconds.
There was a long, awkward silence between them. “Is that really why you came by?” she asked.
He chuckled. “Part of it,” he admitted. “You’re fuckin’ relentless. I also wanted to find out how long I have to wait to take you out.”
“What makes you think I’m interested in you?” she asked, fixing him with a hard stare.
He sighed and rolled his eyes at her. “Why are you so fucking mean?” he asked with a laugh.
She felt delightful tingles filling her as she turned and slid closer to him. “Because you love it,” she said.
His expression looked a bit unsure, and she frowned. That was the first time she’d actually seen him lack confidence. Raising a hand up to his cheek, she directed his gaze back to her, staring intensely at him and trying to ignore how stupidly good-looking he was.
“Bryce, do you know what I find most attractive about you?”
He raised an eyebrow and looked down between them, causing her to roll her eyes.
“No… dick for brains, not your stupid wiener!”
He laughed, but she didn’t relent and continued to hold her hand against his cheek, keeping his eyes on her.
“It’s the confidence. Why are you unsure of yourself now?”
“I’m not nervous about asking you or anything like that,” he said. “I’m just being cautious. I’m not going to blow my shot with the sexiest, most intense woman I’ve ever met just because I can’t stand to wait. I refuse to blow my shot with you.”
She felt her heart melt at his words, and stifled an “aww,” as it formed in her throat and had to look away.
“Not to mention, you keep saying that I shouldn’t want to date you, plus you told Beck that you didn’t want to date anyone right now, regardless. I’m not going to press you on that. I’m here, and when you want to go out, I’ll be the first dude in line to take you. Beck wasn’t capable of waiting for you. I am.”
She looked back up, happy that he was persisting and obviously wanted to be with her.
“I appreciate you giving me time,” she said.
“You’re still only 18,” he said. “Right?”
“19 in another month,” she informed him.
“We’ve got lots of time,” he told her. “I don’t plan on going anywhere.”
“Good,” she said. “So, we’re hanging out and taking everything slow?”
“If that works for you,” he said.
“That sounds great to me,” she said, and nodded. “Just… don’t forget that I like when you’re confident.”
“Shit, I won’t,” he said, his expression changing to reflect his words.
“I’ve gotta go meet my sister,” she said. “Thanks for checking on me.”
“I’ll text you sometime,” he said. “Bye gorgeous.”
“Bye,” she called out.

After getting a bikini wax with Toni, she went home and did her homework. Toni had decided to go see Wade, and Sam was working, and so Alex spent the evening being mostly bored after she’d finished her schoolwork. A couple of hours passed before she heard a knock on her door and called out for whoever it was to come in. Dane’s handsome face peeked in, and she noticed that her pussy was not-so-surprisingly awake again, despite the discomfort she was feeling down there from the waxing.
“Hey,” he said.
She cocked her head, waving at him.
“Can uh… we talk?” he asked.
She nodded, moving to a sitting position and turning off her music.
“Always,” she said as he came over. “Wait… are you pregnant?” she asked, drawing a laugh and a long, drawn-out sigh. “Well… out with it,” she prompted, having waited for him to speak for a few seconds.
“So… you know that Sam really likes when we snuggle?” he asked.
“Snugglebunnies,” she confirmed.
“Well, she kissed me yesterday,” he said. “It wasn’t a friendly kiss either. It was a serious… non-sibling kiss.”
Alex looked over at him in surprise. “She did?”
He nodded, and briefly described the scene. They’d been talking and she hugged him, then seemed to just look at him intensely and leaned in to kiss him.
“And that bothers you?” she guessed.
“It does. I know, I know… I’ve had sex with two sisters and a kiss from the third is going to bother me? But… it’s Sam. She’s been through a lot.”
“No… you’re right,” Alex confirmed, understanding where his concern was coming from immediately. Quietly turning the problem over in her mind, she hesitated a few seconds before responding.
