Tobias Turgenev turned his head, staring intently at Mr. Takada.
The harmless Mr. Finch, whose presence suddenly erupted, fixed his gaze on people as if targeted by a sniper, instilling a tightness in their hearts and shivers down their spines.
As a veteran elder of the Gurloff Family, he had seen too much bloodshed, his very aura chilling to the bone.
Mr. Takada’s skin crawled, he waved his hands frantically exclaiming:
“Tobias Turgenev, it’s all a misunderstanding, I was wrong, I…”
Mr. Finch merely smiled coldly:
“A misunderstanding? Some misunderstandings apologies can’t resolve!”
With that, he gestured to his bodyguards:
“Seize him and give him twenty slaps, ten for Mr. Clark, and ten for me!”
The bodyguards wasted no time, two of them grabbing Mr. Takada by the shoulders and pinning him to the ground, another stepping in front of him.
“Penelope, please, say something for me!” Mr. Takada pleaded in terror, desperately looking towards Penelope.
Penelope, shocked, quickly said, “Tobias Turgenev, this must not be done! Mr. Takada has admitted his mistake, and I believe he won’t complain to the embassy again, please calm down!”
Mr. Takada, an important guest from Shipmeda State and an investor in factories, naturally could not stand idly by since he sought help from Penelope.
But her words only caused Tobias Turgenev to frown, staring coldly at Mr. Takada: “You were going to complain about Mr. Clark to the embassy?”
Mr. Takada replied in terror, “Tobias Turgenev, it’s all a misunderstanding!”
“Mr. Clark beat up my people first, and I confronted him.”
“Then he knocked my people unconscious and slapped me a hundred times, I was just angry when I said that!”
“If I had known he was your friend, I wouldn’t dare provoke him even if I had a hundred thousand guts!”
Mr. Takada was terrified, feeling a chill rush from his feet to his scalp.
He never imagined Flynn could wield such power.
To have summoned Tobias Turgenev, looking up to Flynn.
It must be said, Flynn’s strategy of using one’s own methods against them was brutally effective!
Mr. Takada was utterly powerless against Tobias Turgenev!
Even their boss had to bow down!
“But the fact remains, you provoked Mr. Clark,” said Tobias Turgenev coldly, signaling to the bodyguard.
“Slap! Slap! Slap!”
The sound of slaps echoed.
Achela, the bodyguard with bear-like hands, furiously slapped Mr. Takada’s face.
Officials accompanying Penelope were dumbstruck, speechless.
Inside, they were deeply shaken.
Seeing this, Vivienne Osborn and others shivered in fear.
What seemed a settled matter, that Flynn would be crippled or end up in prison.
It was their chance to thoroughly humiliate Flynn.
The old lady had even thought about how to spit on Flynn.
But he had actually brought Tobias Turgenev, reducing Mr. Takada to nothing.
Even Mr. Takada was beaten, they likely couldn’t escape punishment either.
Achela’s palm strikes were formidable, quickly finishing the twenty slaps.
Mr. Takada’s face, already swollen beyond recognition, now resembled a frostbitten winter melon.
Blood sputtered from his mouth and nose.
Penelope turned pale, unable to utter a word.
In such a situation, he was powerless to intervene!
Was Mr. Takada an important guest from Shipmeda State, and wasn’t Tobias Turgenev?
In terms of investment, the Achela Gurloff Family was no less than the WakasaKomatsu Conglomerate!
Warn Tobias Turgenev that this was Ostrad, that even for important guests, hitting people was illegal?
Would the old man listen?
What of hitting Mr. Takada?
Dare to arrest him, and attracting future investments would be difficult!
Penelope thought better than to speak out.
Tobias Turgenev, hands behind his back, looked down at Mr. Takada coldly asking, “Do you still intend to go to the embassy to complain about Mr. Clark?”
Mr. Takada knelt on the ground, his mind buzzing, tears streaming from the pain, his lips moving as if cut by knives, yet hearing Mr. Finch’s words, he still bowed his head to the ground, respectfully saying:
“No, I dare not. I will not dare again…”
“It was my shortsightedness that upset Mr. Clark. I am truly sorry, Mr. Clark…”
Previously arrogant and haughty, he was now like a dog beaten countless times by its master, no longer having the courage to bare his teeth.
Tobias Turgenev was the first oligarch of Achela, having greatly assisted the Komatsu Conglomerate.
Even without any direct connections, he dared not offend the people of Mr. Rainier!
The Komatsu Conglomerate is world-renowned; many countries have to consider their stance because of them. However, the oligarchs of Achela need not worry-they are rich and technically self-sufficient, ready to slap anyone who displeases them!
This sentiment was deeply understood by the people of Wakasa, who harbored a natural fear.
Seeing Mr. Takada’s disfigured face, the crowd gasped.
Truly, there is a hierarchy to everything!
Upon Tobias Turgenev’s arrival, Mr. Takada’s arrogance was instantly suppressed.
Even Rocco Spencer couldn’t handle what Flynn accomplished on his own!
“Do I need to explain why I hit you?” Flynn asked, tilting his head toward Mr. Takada.
Mr. Takada, his face darkening and anger rising within, found himself unable to utter a word.
He was an important foreign guest, but Flynn had summoned someone even more formidable.
Any defiance would surely result in Tobias Turgenev crippling him.
“No… no explanation needed…” After saying this, Mr. Takada collapsed to the ground like a deflated ball.
Not only did he fail to regain his dignity today, but he also faced repeated humiliations by Flynn, completely losing face.
If the person bullying him had been from the Republic of Federation or Achela, it might have been bearable. But it was someone from Ostrad, whom Mr. Takada internally despised, that made him feel like dying.
“Get lost, I’m annoyed just by seeing people like you!” Flynn waved his hand, dismissing Mr. Takada like chasing away a stray dog.
A sinister look flashed in Mr. Takada’s eyes as he slowly stood up, bowed deeply to Tobias Turgenev, and walked away.
Penelope was stunned.
Frozen on the spot.
He thought Flynn was just a martial artist, sought out by Rocco Spencer to kill the King of Poison.
Flynn’s act of hitting Mr. Takada was seen as using someone else’s power.
Little did he know that not only was Flynn skilled in martial arts, but his connections were also extraordinary; he was not leveraging the Spencer family’s influence, but rather, it was the Spencer family leveraging his.
Realizing all this, Penelope couldn’t help but wryly smile, thinking how presumptuous he had been at the start.
Hurrying forward, Penelope tried to smooth things over with a smile:
“Mr. Clark, I’m sorry about this. I really couldn’t intervene in this matter, and if I seemed a bit harsh earlier, it was just me being impartial. You wouldn’t hold it against me, would you?”
Flynn and Tobias Turgenev being so well-acquainted, in certain areas, Flynn’s words carried even more weight than Rocco Spencer’s, like persuading Gulowski to invest.
Penelope naturally wanted to make amends.
Flynn did not comment on the matter, merely pointing at the old woman, his tone indifferent:
“A whole family of traitors, nurtured on the state’s pension, is truly disheartening.”
Penelope was momentarily startled but quickly grasped Flynn’s implication.
“Oh? There’s such a thing? Then I must go back and thoroughly investigate their family’s background.”
“In recent years, our Ostrad has zero tolerance for espionage,” Penelope said, eyes narrowing slightly as he looked at the old woman.
The old woman’s body trembled violently.
She knew full well what Penelope meant; the investigation into espionage was just a pretext to find fault with her.
During her younger years working at a state-owned enterprise, she had often schemed for her own benefit.
Everyone feared her vengeance and dared not speak out.
Now, as karma would have it, with Flynn’s directive, the provincial authorities would personally investigate, and even if there were no issues, they could still cause trouble for her.
Ostrad laws stated that if an individual was found guilty of illegal activities, their pension could be stopped.
Furthermore, she could even face imprisonment.
At this thought, the old woman’s eyes darkened, and she fainted.
