VIKTOR.
“So, what is our next point of action?” Sven asks, a glass of whisky in his hand.
“We need to contact the other packs, try to demolish whatever movement Dominick has begun,” Maxwell says. “Viktor, you are known to have joined the dead alphas in their ambush, you can tell them what actually happened. And while at it, we will show our support for the coalition.”
“Will it be enough?” I ask.
“We have our own reputations, thankfully, respected and revered. Some of the packs will join us on account of our words, some might not. Some would want to stay on the fence. But for now, it will be enough to put a stalemate to whatever crap he is pulling.”
“He is not going to like that?” Fin mutters.
“Who cares?” I retort.
“No one, if course, but let’s think. These past weeks he has been gathering a following and now we just come and scatter it all. He is going to be pissed, probably accuse us of undermining him.”
“We are undermining him,” Sven mutters.
“Yeah, you- you know what I mean!”
“We do,” Maxwell says. “But like Viktor said, who cares? It is about time we knock him down a peg. Let him know exactly what it Is we think about him and his shenanigans.”
“And while at it, give Rowan enough time to face the fucker,” Sven adds.
“So, we are settled,” Fin says. “We all go to our respective packs, get the support of our own people and allied alphas, destabilize Dominik.”
“Hmm, shame we can’t just kill him, Sven asks.
“His time will come,” I tell him.
“Great,” Maxwell says as he gets to his feet. “We should start lea-”
“Alpha?” A voice coming from the entrance of the living room interrupts him as a wolf walks in, giving respectful bows to each of the men with me.
“Liam?” I call. “What is it?”
“There is someone at the gates. He is demanding to be let in.”
“Who is it?”
“Alpha Dominik if the Obsidian pack.”
The fuck!
“Speak if the devil and he shall appear,” Sven says with a smirk.
“What is he doing here?”
“He did t say. He just demands to speak with you.”
“He demands now, does he?” I growl. “Let him in.”
“Viktor,” Maxwell calls in warning.
“Calm down, I just want to hear what he has to say,” I tell him.
“You said you weren’t going to kill him,” Fun says.
“I am not. But I most certainly can hurt him.”
“Unbelievable,” Maxwell scoffs as he takes a seat.
“You can leave you know,” I mutter at him.
“And have you ruin out plans? No thank you.”
“Hmm, suit yourself,” I say before falling silent, steadying my breath and gaining control of my fast slipping emotions.
You can’t kill him.
You can’t.
Rowan will be pissed
And we don’t want her pissed.
We are all quiet, all waiting for him to show up, the seconds counting down while my irritation grows.
Until finally, he shows.
“Finally!” the annoying prick snaps as he walks I to the living room, arrogance dripping if him as he sneers at us. “You deign to bestow on we lower ones your esteemed presence.”
I am going to kill him.
“Alpha Dominick,” Maxwell speaks first, standing up as he gives him a curt nod. “To what do we owe your presence?”
“This is not your pack!” he snaps. “I went to your pack, if you wanted to know what I want you should have welcomed me then.”
“My apologies, buy I haven’t been in my pack this past two weeks. I and my fellow alphas have been in discussing with Alpha Viktor.”
“About what?”
“That is none of your fucking business,” I snarl at him. “Why are you here?”
He bristles at my tone and honestly, I couldn’t give a shit.
“You have been missing this past weeks,” he answers with a scoff as he takes his own seat.
The fucker
“For almost two months now,” he continues. “You as well as some other alphas. Reports say that you all went to take on the coalition.”
“Is that what they say?” I sneer
“What happened to them?”
“They are dead.”
“The coalition?”
“No. It was mostly me.”
“What?!”
“You heard me, the coalition had nothing to do with their disappearance.”
“I don’t believe you!”
“I don’t give a fuck what you believe, you psychotic mongrel.”
“Excuse me?!”
“You heard me. You are a psychopath. A pathetic weakling who would rather blame his own pack members for his own inherent flaws.”
“Viktor!” Maxwell’s voice snaps at me but I am to far gone to listen.
How dare he?
How dare he come in here, demanding shit like as if we are equals.
We are not equals.
He is a beast, one that should have never been allowed to live past his first breath.
“How dare you?” he snarls at me as he gets to his feet and I get to mine as well. “I am an alpha!”
“And so am I,” I snap back. “So are they,” I say painting to the other three. “But you dint see us killing our members or raping the women and casting them aside!”
“If there is anyone I killed, it is because they deserved it!”
My blood boils with fury at his words and I charge towards him, my nails transforming into deadly talons as I forcefully bring him down to the ground. The impact sends us crashing into the coffee table, causing a chaotic clash of shattered furniture and broken lamps. With clenched fists, I rain blows down on him, each one landing with a sickening thud. My face contorts with pure rage, my snarl revealing bared teeth in a feral display.
“Viktor! Dominik! Enough!” The words barely register, both of us to far gone to listen.
His eyes flash with anger, and he retaliates with a swift swipe of his own razor-sharp claws. I narrowly evade the attack, narrowly escaping the lethal claws by mere inches. We continue to roll and exchange punches, each strike delivered with unwavering precision and immense power. The air fills with our primal growls and snarls, creating a wild symphony that reverberates throughout the room.
Somehow he manages to pin me to the ground, his hands around my throat, his claws digging into my skin. But I won’t be defeated.
Not by him.
With a surge of adrenaline, I buck him off, sending him flying across the room. He slams into the wall, his head cracking against the plaster. He slides to the floor, dazed and disoriented, but I know he won’t stay down for long.
I charge at him again, my claws extended, my fists flying in a blur of motion. We fight on, our blows landing with precision and power. I aim for his face, his chest, his stomach. I want to hurt him, to make him pay for everything he has done.
For hurting Rowan.
Our claws clash, sparking as they scrape against each other.
But yet, despite my Desire t finish him off,, I avoid aiming for his vital organs. My werewolf instincts hold me back from delivering a killing blow.
I wont kill him.
He isn’t mine to kill.
Somehow, in the midst of the blows, our eyes lock, and I can see the fury and hatred burning in his gaze. I know that look, I’ve seen it in my own mirror a few times. We are two werewolves, probably evenly matched and equally enraged.
We circle each other, our movements slow and deliberate. Our breathing is heavy, our hearts racing with excitement and anger. The air is thick with tension, and I can feel the hairs on the back of my neck standing on end.
Suddenly, he lunges at me, his claws swiping through the air. I dodge and counterattack, our claws clashing in a shower of sparks. We fight on, our movements lightning-fast and deadly precise.
The room is a blur around us, the furniture and decorations forgotten in our primal rage.
And then I feel a pair of hands dragging me away from him just as he too is being dragged off.
“Enough!”
We stumble back from each other, panting and exhausted. Our faces are bruised and bloody, our clothes torn and disheveled.
“I know we a all wolves we, but a least, have some decorum,” Maxwell growls. “And you, Dominick, I think it is tie to leave,” he says with a look if disgust I his face.
“You-”
“Take him out!”
As one, Sven and Fin grab hold of each of his arms and all by cart him out.
Roughly, I might add.
The only thing that holds me in place s the look of sheer outrage on his face.
Turning time, Maxwell glowers, his face a show of righteous anger.
“Lets fuck him up
