Back at the club, Klaus was staring at Eva, who was still standing before him with the bounds on her. There was a look in her eyes that he had observed earlier, which made him frown deeply.
He walked over to her and then snatched the tape out of her mouth, as well as the bind on her hands.
“Argh!!” Eva released a sigh, her shoulders hunching.
“Have something to say, sweetheart?” Klaus asked as he ran a hand along her face.
She snatched her face away, but he grabbed it and held on to it tight.
“You will look at me when I talk to you unless you want me to bury a bullet in your head, princess.” He spat out.
Eva glared at him, “I am not the one you need. What sort of foolish game is this? Do you even have any idea what you are bringing upon yourself by taking me hostage? My father will come for you, you moro… ugh…”
Klaus’ hand on her neck caught off the words from her mouth.
Eva’s hand reached up, her eyes wide, as she gasped for breath. He was choking her, with a furious glint in his eyes.
“I know you have an idea who I am, princess. And you should also know that I do not take it lightly when princesses like you don’t know how to keep shut. I won’t warn you again. The next one, and I’ll do to you, things you would never recover from.”
Eva tapped on his hand desperately, as she was suddenly losing her breath.
“Are you ready to speak, now?”
She nodded eagerly, tears streaking out from the corner of her eyes.
Slowly, Klaus let go of her neck and stepped back. He moved to take a seat on the couch where he was previously, watching her.
Eva, on the other hand, clutched at her neck with wide eyes. She had never been treated this way, ever. She didn’t want to be scared, but she was, actually.
Truly, the face was not strange to her one bit. She knew who the man standing before her was.
Angelo’s brother. The same man her father and Angelo had an animosity on, for years now. Even though Eva was not allowed into the world of Mafias, she knew all of Angelo’s enemies and kept tabs on them all.
This one was his brother. Stepbrother to be exact, and she now knew why she was taken alongside Elena.
“I’m not the one you want,” She gasped out, trying to regulate her breathing as she stared at him.
Klaus smirked, “Oh, you are just the icing on the cake, Princess. I think I’d just kill you and threaten Angelo with her other girl since she might hold more value than you.”
Eva’s eyes widened.
“H hold more value!?”
What was he trying to say? That she, Eva was worth nothing compared to that cunt?
She began to speak with gritted teeth, “I am the daughter of….”
“I know exactly who you are, dumbass. Now, tell me what I need to hear. I believe you have something to say.”
Rage filled her, as she bit her lips painfully.
Who does he think he is?
“You are going to let me go. And I’ll make it easier for you,” she said with bated breath. Her voice was calm, but she was far from that.
Klaus chuckled, “And you must be so delusional to think that I would do something of the sort.”
He was silent and kept watching her. She must be utterly foolish to even mention that. He thought.
“I know you are Angelo’s brother…”
At the mention of the word, his eyes darkened, but she continued nevertheless.
“And I know just how much you hated each other. But I’m not the one you need. He cares about her and not me. And I can help you.”
She sounded so confident and determined, staring him dead in the eye.
No way was she about to be caught in a crossfire like this one. She needed to take advantage of every opportunity she came across.
“I will help you,” she repeated. She had heard of the deadly things he does. And even if he was not in any way compared to her father, she knew she had to stay alive for as long as she could, before they come
after her.
But Klaus was already feeling on edge and wasn’t really in the right frame of mind at the moment.
“I won’t ask again, sweetcheeks. Why do you think I would suddenly need your help when I have all the help I could get? I mean., I have you and I have his girl. The two most important people in his life, and the best bet to destroying my god-forsaken brother for good.”
Eva took a deep breath, clenched her fists, and said, “I will do anything you want, but you have to give me your word that you will let me go. I am. Not the one you want. It’s her, right? You can have her, and I can do whatever you want me to do. You just have to let me go. Besides, I am. Pretty sure you do not want to include my father in this. This is already out of line.”
Klaus blinked, smirking as he stared at her incredulously.
“You must have some guys to sprout these in front of me. Why would you think I would agree to whatever nonsense comes out of your mouth? Huh?”
” You think because you are the princess of Don Massimo, you suddenly have the effrontery to look me in the eye and spout such nonsense? What the hell do you take me for? A fool?”
She shook her head, “No. Definitely not. But I can give you something you so desire.”
Her cheeks were high and her voice was almost in a whisper, as she spoke.
Klaus’ eyes darkened at her words, and he frowned, yet again.
He placed an arm on his knees, and leaned forward, staring into her eyes.
“And what is it you think I want, Eva? Aside from wanting to desperately insert a bullet into your skull and that of Angelo’s girl. What do you think I desire that would make me forget my priorities?”
Deep down, he knew what she was referring to. But she would be damned if he would rekindle what had happened in the past.
He would be damned!
In the meantime, his sole focus was his mission, and nothing was stopping him from achieving it.
