Adonis.
I stood in the room, continuing to stare at her while she struggled to take off her clothes with sluggish movements, her cries of distress getting louder. Her face was contorted in pain, and her eyes were wild with fear. I could see the desperation in her eyes, and it tore at my heart.
Eventually, I couldn’t take it anymore and just went to her, grabbing a hold of her face. “It’s alright, you’re just experiencing a mild discomfort, that’s all. You’ll be fine,” I said, trying to sound calm and reassuring.
But she just cried out, her body trembling with sobs. She grabbed my hands on her face, gripping them so tightly that I was unable to let go. “It hurts, Adonis… My body hurts so much,” she cried out, tears filling her eyes.
I was taken aback by the use of my actual name. She had never called me that before, always addressing me as “Your Majesty” or “King”. But when I looked closer, I saw that she was in her right mind. Whatever Khal had given her was making her lose any sort of awareness, her mouth loosening.
“Please hold me, please,” she added, trying to press herself against me. Her eyes were pleading, and her voice was shaking with desperation.
I hesitated for a moment, unsure of what to do. But then I saw the pain in her eyes, and I knew I had to do something. I pulled her into my arms, holding her tightly as she cried out in relief.
“It’s alright, Lienna. I’ve got you,” I whispered into her ear, trying to comfort her.
She clung to me, her body shaking with sobs. I could feel her heart racing against mine, and her warm breath on my skin. I held her for a long time, trying to calm her down, trying to ease her pain.
Running my hand along the small of her back, I pressed my nose against her neck, noticing that some of her crying had lessened. “How do you feel now?” I asked, my voice gruff as I continued to caress her back.
“Slightly better,” she answered, her voice a soft sigh. “But it still feels like I’ve been placed in scalding oil. There’s pain everywhere.”
I continued to caress her back, adjusting her so she could be closer to me. “You’re recovering from the overuse of the moon goddess powers, that’s why. I’m here to help, don’t worry.”
I muttered, trying to reassure her. She let out another shaky breath, adjusting her body yet again. “Keep touching me, please.”
She begged, burrowing further into me, her face pressing against my chest, and her thighs spread apart on mine. The sight caused my body to grow warm, and I immediately banished the thought before it had a chance to take root.
Just then, the door opened, and Caspian walked in. He was still dressed in his ceremonial robes, which meant he hadn’t retired to bed yet. He stiffened at the doorway at the position he met us, his gaze immediately darting to Lienna.
“I saw the healer leave just now. Is he coming from here? How is she?” he asked, his voice firm, but laced with concern.
I hesitated for a moment, unsure of how much to reveal. But then I nodded, trying to reassure him. “She’s going to be fine. The healer gave her something to help with the pain.”
Caspian’s gaze narrowed, his eyes scanning Lienna’s face. “What’s going on? Why is she in so much pain?”
I took a deep breath, trying to explain. “She overused the moon goddess powers. Her body is struggling to recover so she’s in a lot of pain.”
He walked into the room, closing the door behind him as he walked up to Lienna, who still had her face buried against my body. He gently turned her so she was facing him. “Is that true?” He asked, his voice soft and concerned.
I nodded, and Lienna’s tear-streaked cheeks were visible for a moment before she whimpered softly and burrowed herself into me again. I noticed that her body had begun to burn up, her skin hot to the touch. I don’t think that’s a good sign.
Caspian’s eyes met mine, and I could see the worry there. “What did the healer say when he came?” He asked.
I took a deep breath, wondering how much I should say. Eventually, I just let it out. “Well, he told me that her body is trying to regulate itself by seeking out people who are stronger than her, and sometimes, it could manifest as intense lust or desire.”
Caspian’s expression turned grim, and he looked at Lienna with a mix of concern and pity. “So, that’s what’s going on,” He muttered. “I had no idea it was this bad.”
Lienna’s body trembled, and she cried out softly, her face still buried against me. I could feel her heart racing, and her skin was getting hotter by the minute.
“We need to do something,” Caspian said, his voice firm. “We can’t just sit here and watch her suffer.”
I nodded, trying to think of a solution. But before I could say anything, Lienna’s body arched, and she cried out again, her voice louder this time.
“Please,” She begged, her voice shaking. “Please, touch me. I need… I need it.”
Caspian’s eyes met mine, and I could see the question there. I nodded slightly, and he reached out, gently touching Lienna’s face. She whimpered softly, her body relaxing slightly at his touch. But it wasn’t enough. She needed more.
“If that’s what’s going on with her, it might be worth a shot,” Caspian muttered, his voice serious.
I stiffened slightly, staring at him with my eyes widened slightly. “You want me to sleep with her? In this state?” I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.
Caspian’s expression was grim. “The Royal healer mentioned it, did he not? I think it’s a bad idea to test his theory, I mean, look at her.”
He gestured to Lienna, who had begun to wrap her hands around my neck, slowly grinding her hips against my thighs. Her breath was coming out in shuddering gasps, and her eyes were filled with a desperate plea.
Even if I didn’t want to, seeing Lienna this way turned me on. Every secret desire I had for her roared to life, and I felt my body responding to hers.
I pulled her away from my chest, staring into her tear-filled eyes. Her breath was ragged, and her skin was flushed even in the pale lighting. I touched her cheeks tenderly, and she instinctively leaned into my touch, a soft whimper escaping her lips.
Letting out a low groan, I met her lips with mine, enveloping hers in a powerful kiss. As much as I tried to curtail my desires for her, it moved with a vengeance, overpowering my feeble resistance. I claimed her lips in the most possessive way possible. The kiss was not gentle. There was nothing tender about it. It felt possessive.
my tongue, my lips, devoured hers, taking and taking and taking until she was visibly shaking again, breathless with desire. She melted into me, her body surrendering to mine.
I tried to pull away but she immediately followed after. “More please, it’s not enough.” She cried out, a feverish look in her eyes. I leaned in and kissed her again, more possessively this time.
Caspian’s voice was distant, “I’ll leave you two alone.”
I heard the door close behind him, but I didn’t care. I was too lost in Lienna’s touch, her taste, her scent.
She was burning up, her body on fire, and I was the only one who could quench the flames.
I deepened the kiss, my tongue exploring hers, my hands roaming her body. She was mine, and I was hers.
In that moment, nothing else mattered.
