Veronica.
I stormed out of the throne room, my anger boiling over like a cauldron left unattended. After being dismissed by the Shifter Kings without so much as a hearing, I felt infuriated, my fury threatening to consume me whole. How dare they! Didn’t they know who I was? Didn’t they know the sacrifices I’d made for this kingdom?
As I marched towards my chambers, my mind seethed with resentment. Every day, it felt like they were slipping away from me, their trust and loyalty slowly eroding like sand between my fingers. And that damn witch! Lienna, with her innocent face and her secrets. To think she almost killed me the last time we attacked her… I wished I could scream it out while she was there, but they’d just ask how I knew, and I’d have to reveal my little secret – that I’d been sneaking out without their permission.
I finally arrived at my chambers, slamming the door unceremoniously behind me. The sound echoed through the room, a testament to my rage. I pulled at my hair, the strands tangling around my fingers as I let out a scream of frustration. My anger was just beneath my skin, threatening to burst free like a wild animal.
I paced around the room, my feet stomping out a rhythm on the stone floor. How could they be so blind? Couldn’t they see that Lienna was a threat? I stopped in front of the mirror, my eyes blazing with fury. Getting rid of my dress, I stripped myself naked in front of the mirror, seething as I beheld the scars that had formed from the blast of white light from Lienna on that day.
It had been days, but my wounds were yet to heal, the process painfully slow. And I knew why. The herbs that had been prescribed for me wouldn’t work on an injury sustained from magic. I needed magic to heal this, or someone who was much stronger than me. Being with the Shifter Kings would have helped, but I couldn’t go to them like this. They’ll no doubt ask questions and find out the truth. They must never know about this. I needed a way to get rid of this and fast.
That power Lienna emitted was no ordinary power, that I was sure of. I didn’t even think it was dark magic, due to how strong it was and the unique characteristics. My mind was racing, trying to understand the implications.
My hands froze while I was assessing the wounds in my body. It could only mean one thing… Was the moon goddess already back in the realm? The realization was like a punch to the gut, and I staggered backwards, breathing heavily. Cold sweat broke out on my skin, my heart racing like a wild animal.
But… That’s just impossible! I thought, trying to calm myself down. The moon goddess had been gone for too long, people had started to lose faith in that prophecy and didn’t think she would return anymore. She couldn’t be back. And yet… The evidence was right in front of me. Lienna’s power was unlike anything I’d ever seen before. It was as if the very essence of the moon had been distilled into her.
I felt like I was drowning in a sea of uncertainty. If the moon goddess was indeed back, what did it mean for the realm? And what did it mean for me? I thought I had control, thought I had the upper hand. But now… Now I wasn’t so sure. I ran my hands through my hair, pacing back and forth. I couldn’t let the Shifter Kings find out about this. I needed to do something. And quick.
But first, I needed to deal with the gnarly scars on my body and the darkness in my soul that was brewing out of control. Quickly draping on a robe to cover my nakedness, I rang for a maid. One immediately arrived, bowing her head the second she walked in. “You called on me, your highness,” she said, her voice meek.
“Yes, I need you to get me a strong male, preferably a slave. I need him right now, so hurry,” I said, my voice reflecting my urgency. The maid nodded and exited the room as quickly as she came, leaving me to my thoughts.
I tried to get myself in order while I was alone, waiting impatiently for the man she would bring. My mind was racing with the implications of Lienna’s power and the possible return of the moon goddess. But I pushed those thoughts aside, focusing on the task at hand. I needed to heal, and I needed to do it now.
It took some time, but a sturdy human male was brought into my chambers. He was definitely a slave, his eyes cast downward in submission. He looked confused as to why I would summon him, but I didn’t have time for niceties.
“I said, get on the bed,” I ordered, my voice firm but laced with a hint of desperation. After hesitating slightly, he climbed onto the bed, confusion still reflected in his features. I could see the fear lurking in his eyes, but I didn’t care. I needed his strength, his life force, to heal my wounds.
I approached the bed, my heart racing with anticipation. This was a risk, I knew, but I had no other choice. I needed to heal, and I needed to do it now. The darkness in my soul was growing, threatening to consume me whole. I couldn’t let that happen. Not yet.
I climbed on the bed with him, immediately loosing the ropes that binded his trousers and revealing his length. It wasn’t as big and long as the Shifter Kings, but it would have to do. When I peeked at his face and saw the embarrassment that clouded his features but I could care less. Rubbing my hands up and down him, I watched as he grew hard, soft groans escaping his lips.
Once he was hard enough, I knelt between his thighs, positioning his cock into my wet opening, and sat down on it. I gasped as his member filled me and without any further ado, began to move and grind my hips. There was some pleasure there, but it wasn’t particularly what I was after. I skillfully rolled my hips, moaning in delight as I brought him to the edge, his deep grunts resounding in my ears.
He soon stilled, his hips jerking abruptly as he reached his climax. I sunk my nails deeper into his neck, drawing more blood from him as he released inside me. The darkness within me stirred, feasting on his life force as I felt his energy coursing through my veins.
The man’s body began to convulse, his movements becoming more erratic as the darkness consumed him. His eyes rolled back, and his mouth opened in a silent scream as his body dried out, resembling a husk. His member had gone flaccid, already drained of life, and I pulled away from him, a sigh of relief escaping my lips.
It was no surprise that he was already dead. This was why I didn’t like using regular people. They were too weak, too fragile, and too useless for my needs. The darkness brewing beneath my skin receded, sated for the moment, and I went to check my reflection in the mirror. The scars on my body had begun to fade, my skin regenerating as the darkness’s power coursed through me.
I gazed at my reflection, a sense of satisfaction washing over me. The ritual had worked, and I was stronger for it. I knew it was only temporary but it would have to do for now. Now, I needed to confirm if my suspicions about Lienna are true.
