Something is not matching up and I know it! Raven can not just walk in my Park with her weird scent and isn’t even healing. I already messaged her father about her state but he didn’t sound or act worried.

You can imagine a father saying she still gets a week and two days then that’s all.
Was he really talking about her mating to the warrior that had killed her mate or her life?
Watching her breathe slowly, I wonder if she is putting it up as an act or really breathing slowly. Aside from her wrist wound that never heals, there is nothing wrong with her. Just her pale body, no color, her purple lips, and… is that a healing bite mark on her arms?
Watching Mira walk in and out of the room doing nothing important, I know she needed to know what has happened to Rain. Well, I have nothing to tell her.
How can I tell her that Luna is a Lycan that had almost killed her before? Yep, I know she still remembers her wrist bites but…
“The bite that never heals” I muttered.
I raised my head as I stood up from the chair I had been seating. Quickly, I looked around, locking my gaze with Hawk and Alaric who stared back at me blankly.
“Are you thinking what I am thinking?” Alaric asked.
What was I thinking?
I walked to Raven, held her hand, and began to unwrap the bandages for her wrists. The wound look so fresh that I would mistake them for just appearing on her wrist if she haven’t been out for more than five hours.
“I think Rain bit her” Hawk said flatly “But what I don’t get is that she was bitten on her wrist so she would have looked like Mira and not Caramel”.
The whole room became so quiet, no one said a word but spoke with their eyeballs, each of us thinking heavily with our eyes fixed on Raven. Honestly, I know no one of us like her, not even Mox that wants to rip her heart off every single moment.
I stared at my beta, Hawk, who didn’t let his gaze off me either, he looked way more confused than I have ever seen him. At that moment, I knew that two things bad had been involved. Either he is trying his possible best to not kill her or trying to ignore his mate’s strong scent.
“You again,” I said out to Mira like I was surprised to see her walk in with Sean.
No! Of course not!
I was expecting to see her, she might be an Omega and Rain’s best… maid, she might know of a way to help… maybe.
“Please let me help, Alpha,” Mira said “We all know Rain did this to her”.
Suddenly, something struck me.
Deep down, I know that my mate is dangerous but a bit on the wrist can not do this to Raven. The bite mark on her arm seems like her blood had been drained but I doubt a vampire did it. If it had been a vampire, Raven would have been in chains and kept to dry off in the sunlight.
“Leave,” I said dryly “You are a..”
“Omega she-wolf?” Mira sniffed “There is something out there going on other than missing Mira because she is a different wolf Alpha” she fell to her knees.
Well, I am sure she wants to beg for interrupting me but she didn’t. She was shivering, her teeth gnashing like she was really catching cold and her eyes turned black. Her wolf is trying to take control but she can not let that happen, can she?
“My mate is human and I haven’t seen her since Ra… our Luna got missing,” Mira said.
Oh! That’s it. I can’t look at it so I looked away.

Wait! She said her mate is a she? How on earth are people having same the sex as a mate now? Does her mate have another mate and does she then need another mate to complete the circle?
This isn’t right! Something is wrong! There might be something really going on between my mate and all these missing people too. Them having the same gender as a mate sounds cool though, I had thought about Hawk being my hidden mate but he has someone so, it’s cool.
I turned around expecting to see Mira still on her knees but there was no sign of her. The face that stared right back at me was that of my Hawk. Blankly staring close until he looked toward Raven’s direction and there stood Rain.
“This is not a vampire bite and my mate told me all about this stuff,” Mira said sounding stupid.
Sensing my puzzlement, a chuckle escaped from Hawk. He took a step closer to Mira, this time, he had his hands at the back of Mira as he gingerly picked her up like a piece of paper.
“I checked too, Alpha” Mira half yelled “Please! Don’t you know that girls stopped missing since our Luna got missing too?”.
‘Hawk!” My mind is linked with deep impatience ‘Do you think I should be less angry?’.
A small smile spread across Hawk’s face and that’s so annoying. I need someone to help me keep sane now not someone telling me to my face to…
“You have been helpful Mira” Hawk said “Sean will take you outside now”.
Sean didn’t move, he just looked at his mate dead in the eyes then at Mira. He couldn’t get to look at my face and I can sense that he and Mira are both hiding something. I didn’t want to push on, was just hoping they would be sensible and avoid death and they did.
“Mira was worried about her mate and Caramel been a scapegoat so she…”.
“What do you mean Caramel been a scapegoat?” I interrupted Sean.
I can see him visibly shaking before looking at Hawk for assurance. It was as if his luge now depends on Hawk who just raised his brows and shrugged. It was as if he had asked for permission in the mind link.
“The day Caramel and the Luna got missing, Mira said she heard Raven telling her not to struggle because she is doing it to get Caramel off her Omega life to be with a highly ranked Wolf”.
Okay, that sounds more like mere gossip. Now I see why human gay are treated as women, they all have the mind of a woman now including Sean but I will listen.
“We saw Raven been escorted to our bother by uhmmmm, Olivia and an unknown Wolf” Sean paused to look at Mira who was still in Hawk’s grip.
It was as if he had forgotten her legs are not touching the floor. Well, since he is not uncomfortable, he can have it.
Hearing Olivia made me a bit tense. Everyone knew her as my Park member and my mate. They didn’t know she rejected me, they all knew she ran away and I have not seen her gain since then.
Even if she is back now, what has this have to do with mate and Raven?
“When Raven was off sight, Olivia asked the other wolf what they would do to the redhead” Sean continued “We assumed they were talking about Caramel so…” He gulped saliva “The wolf just said they will be to let the Alpha decide after the experiment”.
What the heck?!
What am I supposed to do with such half information and…
“Who the hell is the Alpha?” I found myself asking.
Sean shrugged, he looked at Mira who had been placed on her feet, and shrugged again.
“I have no idea but Miranda keeps saying she feels the person is Raven’s father because they walked into her Park after that”.
Now that’s twisted!
