REX’S POV
Seating with Alaric while we examine the remains of the leg we found, I made sure to send a message to the Alpha surrounding our parks and also the Alpha king.
I was sure something or someone somehow would connect one of the parks to them because of it happens and they succeed in taking all our females, the generation of that park would die.
Men can’t get men pregnant!
That’s the awful truth some people do not want to digest.
Who would provide for them if no other park offer their daughters as mates or just to help them reproduce?
That would be so humiliating and painful.
Staring blankly at Alaric, I could not help but think about Rain. I bet she will be fine because Sean would not want to fail his Alpha. Would he?
Aside from that, I was sure if Sean eventually tells Rain about her not being able to beat me, her main priority would be to knock me out. She would want to beat me up anytime and maybe to run away and reject me
No! I won’t think about rejection. Maybe just to running away and cause me pain.
‘Such a tiny feisty thing’ Mox made me mentally rolled my eyes.
Mox should understand, I was trying to know what might be wrong with a mate and since I still have her wolf down, the better I check it fast. I can’t have her biting people around and in the end, they don’t heal until after two months if they don’t drink her blood.
Right now, I have to go visit her previous park because I have something to steal from there. You can’t blame me, Jaxon and Brook have refused to act over telling me who she really was.
And Axon, I could vouch that asshole has an idea of what Rain really was but refuse to tell me. He even suggested that I sneak into the park’s abandoned lab to field the answers myself.

That would be trespassing.
I pray what I have been thinking would not true because if it is, Rain would soon be in danger. I can’t imagine my mate being another species of wolf!
Heaving a deep sigh, I walked away from Alaric as I head to the other side of the Park Hospital. It’s lovely, I don’t mean the hospital, I mean a woman just giving birth to two lovely pups and her mate beside her.
One day, I hope it would be Rain and I, but not with a female child or any female at all.
‘Female sucks’ Mox nod twice in agreement ‘All female sucks. Except for Mate’ he quickly added.
At that point, I felt stupid because if I really claim female sucks, I won’t have met my mate. Or even think about babies.
With a small shrug, I walked away from the beautiful scene in front of me and headed toward the door. The thought of seeing Rain again entices me and I doubt if I would be able to control myself if I see her.
Unlike what happened few days ago at the training, I was mad at Caramel for hitting her only to perceive her distracting arousal.
I was sure other male wolves perceived it too.
‘You don’t want to talk about the fact that you literally wish you could fvck her there’ Mox teased.

Looking around as I walked to my office, I exhaled as there was nobody staring at my zipper area because it’s nothing good to look at.

‘Somethings never change, Rex’ Mox grimmed ‘Just admit you love pussy and I won’t talk about how you shamelessly fvcked Olivia in the woods because she was wet’.

Walking into my office, the first thing I sighted was a scarf, the scarf Olivia left for me. After placing my phone on the table, I walked to where I have kept Olivia’s scarf. Slowly, like it has been contaminated, I removed it from where I have hung it and walked to the trash can. Without thinking twice, I dropped it with a wide smile on my face.
“Bye bye Olivia,” I said.
Yeah, for real! I was over her for the best!!
Heading to clear some paperwork on the table, I stomped my left toe against the table. Good thing I had my boots on if not, I know how bad it must hurt.
‘Alpha!’.
Quickly acknowledging the mind link, I walked towards the window to start into the fields.
‘Alpha Rain is missing!’ Sean panicked.
At first, I wanted to act like I was not scared of her running away from me but it wasn’t working. Growling, I paced through and fro the room before getting back to the window.
‘I told her about how I thought she would not be able best you and she just ran away!’ Sean explained in the mind link ‘Right now, she has not surfaced after running towards the border for a few seconds now’.
It’s just a few seconds but that didn’t stop me from mind linking her immediately.
‘Stop Rain!’ I yelled in my link with her ‘You can’t go past the border and stop hiding!’.
Damn! Hiding Haven’t being a good idea with Rain.
Discharging him, I walked out of the office with my heart in my palms. I tried to ensure myself that my mate was safe but it was not working. I couldn’t rest, not when she has not yet joke and walked out the field to listen to the park’s distress alarm.
Quickly dashing towards where I felt she might be, I got a mind link from Hawk.
‘The park is under attack Alpha, Look for Rain!’
From the way he sounds, I bet he should probably have his claws in someone’s chest.
‘They are mainly after the women’.
Such a good Beta to help his Alpha worry about his mate and the women of the park. Now at the border close to where Sean and Rain have supposedly reached, I stopped.
Of no doubt, Sean’s scent still seems fresh. So fresh that I felt he had chased her round in a merry-go-round manner for a while before stopping at a spot. Looking around, something caught my attention!
‘Syringe!’ Mox panicked ‘Please not wolfsbane’.
Immediately, I mind-linked Alaric who told me that he was already on his way out because some female wolves are badly injured.
Taking a few steps out the border, I tried to trace Rain’s Scent but none. It then recalls to me that she has not made her scent return.
‘Hawk what did you find?’ I asked desperately in my mind link.
After a few minutes of silence, I finally heard his voice. His not-so-calm voice from the park’s side of the border. Although I knew I was not supposed to be here because I can get attacked any moment but how does it affect an Alpha whose mate just got…
‘Kidnapped’ Mox helped me with the word ‘You can’t let this happen, Rex’.
Ignoring Mox, I walked back into the park to find them all waiting at our side of the border. Staring at me, he held up a piece of white torn cloth in his hand. Trying my best not to notice Raven standing beside him with her face bloody, I walked to him to grab the cloth from him.
I ignored his small growl of protest as I raised the piece to my face and sniffed it.
“Rain’s scent is still of,” Hawk said “All the women are now safe except Caramel and Rain”.
How?
I felt I would run mad if Care wasn’t taken.
Care?
I fucked up big time.
I left my mate defenseless to let those asshole kidnap her.
What if they do all manner of bad stuff to her?
What if they cut her up and deliver her remaining body part to my part of other park to warn them about their coming.
I should have made the security tough but I didn’t.
“You say Rain is missing?” I asked again as if it wasn’t obvious.
Hawk just stood still.
He looked at the rest people around and I was sure he mind linked them to go because they all slowly began to walk away.
Should I tell them that the hope of their park had being taken? Should I tell them that the Luna they were preparing for the ball had being taken?
“We will find her, Alpha” Hawk said.
I glared at him.
Imagine how calm he looked when I just lost my mate! My second chance.
Not everyone gets second chances and I blew mine. I never told her that I loved her and I was proud to have her in my life.
“I am finished” I sat on the floor.
