Being an Alpha is superb!
I will say it thousand times more and probably till I die. Passing anywhere add have people bowing, even the elderly ones nod if they can not bow.
I bet they would have tried to ignore me once. But they can’t.
Dress in simply faded jeans and a black tee shirt, I felt comfy. Clog footwear would go well. I can’t imagine trying to lose my shoelace when being attacked just because I am having problems shifting fast.
A small smile appeared on my face as I blankly stare in front of him. I know how this shit works, don’t you? I recall training some time ago when my father was still alive. I had a favorite shirt I love so much only to have my father provoke me into ripping it apart as I shift.
‘Poor you’ Mox scoffed ‘That should not be the problem now’.
I know his problem, he has been whining about how he feels Rain is not safe. She is in my park for crying out loud and the only person I should be worried about is Raven. If I can’t find her, I might say she might be somewhere beating the shit out of my mate.
That’s another annoying problem of having a weak wolf. Even if I can’t tell why she has a black wolf and a big one for that matter, I still don’t get why she has not fully healed!
It’s been hours! Days! Some wolves heal within minutes or hours of the wound is too much.
‘Shit!’ Mox cussed ‘You know you have given her other scars when the one she has are just recovering’.
Why would Mox think so? Last night, I didn’t get to look at her properly for her back scars or chin. Oh, I saw her face yesterday afternoon and I can say the injury is nowhere to be found. The fact that she has taken another man’s blood that helped her heal vex me.
She is mine!
‘Only Alpha blood heals that fast for her kind’.
Her kind? What am I thinking?
For all, I care she is a wolf just like me. I am not convinced that the blood from the syringe belongs to Brook because it smells nothing like him. The person should be connected to an Alpha and that makes me want to suspect Alpha Jaxon, Brook’s father.
‘It’s normal, Rex’ Mox rolled his eyes ‘Jaxon might have just done it to cover up for his evil deeds’.
Even when I don’t want to believe that, I have to believe it somehow. Right in my very own eyes, I have seen him slap my mate. If he could do that in my present, what’s odd for him to do worst when no one would watch?
The fact that she was still a virgin seems more than the impossible made possible. I can remember, people that suffer such fate never get to be virgins, they get it taken away by force.
‘You did take it aw…..’.
“Watch where you’re going!”.
Really? This annoying brat walking around Park like a goddess! Now she smells like me, I wonder what she would be telling people. What would she even tally mate?
Watching Raven walk around half naked with her head high makes me want to snap her neck out of her head. You know why I can’t do that, it would only bring problems between my people amd hers.
Sometimes I wonder why she would leave her park for mine, stay days, intimidate some wolves and go back only to repeat the same thing.
The phone inside my pocket vibrated for me to see the caller was Hawk. I didn’t feel so surprised, not when I have turned off any connection with anyone since last night.
“I bet my mind link will have up to 200 missed calls notification if it could,” I said immediately after I answers the call.
That mood.
From the sound of his voice I can tell that he is worried but why he is worried for me is what I don’t understand. I get he is my Beta and we are kinda close since he is the closest person to me in the park.
“For a moment I thought you had joined the moon goddess without letting me know,” Hawk said over the phone “Before then, I think something is wrong with Rain”.
Seriously? Is he worried about what I did to her yesterday?
Even if he knows, she belongs to me and I can decide to treat her like a slave if I want. As long as she knows that I will forever be her Master, her one and only mate, and her Alpha!
“I don’t want to know what you did to her yesterday but I kind of mistakenly knocked her out and she has not opened her eyes since then”.
Knock her out? What the hell is he talking about? The way he said the mistakenly stressed me more.
“She attacked Caramel and I had to do it before she kills the girl,” Hawk said.
??????? Before getting to know how the rest story happened on phone, I ended the call and opened my mind link. Rushing to the park hospital, I found Hawk staring at the opposite room where I can smell Rain from.
Feeling a bit satisfied, I first rushed to see her calm and somehow sleeping peacefully. I walked out to see Hawk now in front of the room, watching inside like he is somehow lost in thoughts.
Walking beside him, I panicked. There lay Caramel, her shoulder and small of her neck has a deep injury that seems not to be healing. She looks white like she is dying which I get she is because, with the look of things, Caramel is a wolf with a good healing rate.
If I can’t say she heals fast or slow, I will say she heals normally. Unlike Raven, it takes her a while to heal but she is a very strong wolf.
“Good thing I arrived on time” Hawk muttered “Rains seems extremely pissed and is in a bad position”.
Looking away from Caramel to my face, I bet Hawk was trying hard not to tell that he found her neck, waist, thighs, and pvssy bruised. I bet he knows what must have happened to her bit for the sake of what I can not explain, he prefers to glare at my forehead while he avoids the talk and my gaze.
“She is not healing, Rex”.
“I can see that, Hawk” I muttered with my gaze not leaving his angry eyes.
With a shrug, I walked out the room back to Rain’s own only to find the park doctor attending to her. His face seems a bit uneasy as he twisted his lips with his gaze at Hawk. If he wants to tell me something, he can just mind link me and not looking like he just ate a cat.
Alaric the doctor tried not to look so mean as he cleared his throat and sighed. He checked her neck, checked her pulses, checked her mouth, and eyes then jotted something down on the file with him. I then began to wonder if he knows something, maybe why Caramel is not healing and why my Mate is not waking.
“You smacked her real hard, Hawk” Alaric suddenly said.
Dropping the file while he cracked his fingers, Alaric stared at me for a while before looking away.
“Caramel is not healing,” He said, “I think this young lady’s teeth are infected with something that would be harmful to other wolves here including you, Alpha”.
I tinted my head as if wanting to get a better view of Rain. Imagine such a peaceful-looking Wolf being infected. I know that has to be a prank and I honestly don’t worry anyone about that.
“Will Caramel survive?” I asked instead.
I gracefully ignored the stare Hawk and Alaric gave me as brought out my oh from my pocket and pretend to go through my social media account. Good thing nervousness isn’t something I show, if not, I am sure the whole park would have heard me growl right now.
“Will Caramel die?” I asked again, this time pissed.
I looked up to see Alaric with one of his palms on Rain’s forehead. He felt her temperature for a while before showing his palm to me as if I understand.
“Only her blood can heal Caramel now,” Alaric said “I know she has a little but it she can offer us a little, Caramel will survive” he pauses for a while “But please, she can not shift again, for now, not more bitting anyone unless you want her to be a blood donor”.
Old story.
With my gaze fixed on Rain’s body, I am more concerned about what would happen to any more people she bites. I have set a standard for her not to shift but she has refused, what else would she want?
Drain her blood till zero?
“Draw the blood, Alaric,” I said “Just a little should help”.
