The devil you know

Book:A NIGHTSTAND WITH THE BILLIONAIRE ALPHA Published:2024-12-4

Grace left the VIP room without even glancing back. Cindy has really bitten off more than she can chew already, and it is high time she starts exposing her secrets little by little; maybe then she would learn how to mind her damn business of hers.
“I am leaving!” Grace said to Alpha Redford, immediately she met him at the entrance to the VIP room; he seemed to be on call, and immediately he had seen her, he had flinched a little bit as though he was hiding something; she really couldn’t even tell what was wrong.
“Why are you leaving?” Alpha Redford wanted to ask Grace this, but before you knew it, she was out of sight; she had walked out already.
“Hey! Please!” Alpha Nelson tried to call out, but he ended up saying this in a low tone.
He couldn’t just shout; they were in a public arena, and it would be too nice.
Grace dragged her legs out of the eatery; the anger in her was really so much, but she tried not to think of all the bullshit that had just happened inside the eatery.
What pained her more was the clicking sounds of the camera and the glittering light, evidence that some people were taking pictures of her, and she really didn’t know why they had to.
This is the life of someone who is wealthy or related to a wealthy person; everything concerning you will want to be gotten and shown to the damn world.

“Damn! Finally!” Grace said and exhaled a breath to calm herself.
Using her hands, she pulled back the tendrils of her hair behind her ears so that she would be comfortable at least.
She really had not come with a driver, because Alpha Nelson had driven her here; it was going to be risky entering a random car, though.
She was still thinking of what to do, either book an Uber or take a random taxi, when a man dressed fully in black approached her.
He was not wearing a mask; his face was so dark that one couldn’t even differentiate it from darkness.
Now, she was outside and a little bit far from the main eatery, and the streetlights were not available in that particular place she stood, and that was why she really couldn’t see the man’s face.
“Hola, beauty!” The man’s husky voice rang out, and Grace’s heart skipped.
“W-hoo” Grace stammered as she adjusted backwards, not letting the man come closer to him.
This was when she realized the road was really not as busy as she thought; the person’s passing was all focusing on what concerned them and nothing more.
She was shifting backwards, and the man kept throwing more steps to reach her. The lights that happened to be shining somehow made his shadow cast on the ground.
His figure was really so oppressing that she felt as though she was being caged and left alone in a lonely dark room. He was tall and mighty, his well-built muscles orbs, his wide chest, and his smell were really intoxicating. Immediately Grace had taken it at first; it began to taunt her brain.
Grace had just given him just a quick glance, but the image of him was already in her head; he really looks like a Greek god.
But what the hell! His face was something she really couldn’t see; it was so dark.
“Nice to meet you!” The man said, his husky voice sending chills down Grace’s spine, his melodious voice very soothing.
Grace could really not understand what sort of person would just stop a person looking so scary.
“Please excuse me! I have no idea who you are, so please leave me alone.” Grace yelled; somehow, she managed to say this even if the fear in her was growing every damn minute she stood in his presence. She tried not to stutter as she talked.
She wanted to act a little bit courageous so that the man won’t really take advantage of her.
But there was something she really couldn’t understand about this dark-faced man.
*Take this, read this note, and you will know who is speaking with you.* The man said and stretched out his hands, handing a clean paper note to her.
Grace raised an eyebrow to look at him very well and also understand the reason why he was giving her a paper note when her dark blue ocean eyes met his dark blue ocean eyes, and for some minutes she was numb; the shock that spread across her body was stronger than a wave force, and she gasped loudly.
This was the first time she saw his eye; ever since he was speaking with her, his head was bent to the ground.
“We have the same eyes. Awww! A very good start.” The man said and chuckled.
Grace was really speechless; she really had nothing to say; she was surprised about everything.
The man had chuckled earlier; she couldn’t see his face, but she could imagine how beautiful and sexy his smile was.
Even as she was scared, there was something that attracted her to this mysterious man.
“Take it! It won’t harm you?” The man’s voice said again, anytime he opened his mouth to say something, Grace noticed how her stomach made rumbling sounds as though the worm inside were happy to hear his soothing and husky, alluring voice.
“Take it!” He said and stretched out his hands again, and Grace beheld the beautiful, attractive, shiny black tattoo on his hand.
She was still on the edge of retrieving the paper from her when her eyes fell on it, and she was lost in thought; she hadn’t even studied what it was when he used the other of his palms to cover it.
“U… mmm, sorry!” Grave said and quickly retrieved the paper from his hands.
“How did you see that? No one has ever seen that, even if my hands are open.” The man said, and GRACE could sense shock from the way he had spoken.
“I have no idea. I will be on my way right now.” Grave said, and her lips curved into a thin line smile. She was smiling at him, so she could leave; at least she wants to be nice.
“Not too fast, beauty! I will drive you.” The man offered Grace a ride.
Grace just met him, and even if he looks scary, something in her trusted him so well that she was really reluctant for just a few seconds after he had offered to help.
“Okay!” Grave said and smiled and allowed him to lead the way.
She really didn’t know why she had accepted the drive so easily, but she prayed she wouldn’t regret it.
They crossed the road, and before they could reach the very black, stymied, and latest car in town, she saw another man dressed exactly like the one that had come to talk to her earlier, hurrying to open the car’s door.
“Your Highness!” The man said and bowed curtly to the dark-faced man as he allowed H and Grace to go into the car.
“What is your direction, lady!” The man asked Grace, the pang of fear in her heart was really there, but she tried to hide it.
Grace showed him the direction on her phone, since she had just come there for the first time.
The dark-faced man had to tell it to the driver, and immediately the driver ignited the engine.
Even the ignited engine was not vibrating compared to how Grace’s heart was throbbing inside of her chest.
“What if I say I won’t take you to your damn husband’s house?” The man broke the long silence in the car.
Grace’s heart dropped into her stomach; she was not really sure she had heard him well.
Like, what the fuck? How the hell did he know she was married, though?
It was possible that he knew she was married, though why the hell had he had the audacity to call her husband ‘damn’?
“I really don’t get what you are trying to say.” Where are you supposed to take me to?” Grace asked if the fear that had overcome her was palpable, but as always, she tried not to act scared.
“I am to take you to where you belong, where you will be respected and treated like the queen you are, beauty.” The dark-faced man said to her, and this made her more confused.
“And where the hell do I belong? I really don’t understand who you are and who had sent you to me.” Grace complained.
“Are you scared, beauty?” The dark-faced man asked, and Grace raised her eyes to look at him.
She really wanted to catch a glimpse of his face. But she really had no idea of what the hell he had used to paint his face so black like a devil, and not just that, he was dressed like one.
“My question is who the hell has sent you to me and why? Who are you to? Grave had a lot of questions to ask.
“I am the-”
Just immediately she asked this question, and the dark-faced man was about to give answers to her questions, the car was already parked motionlessly on the road.
“You are home already; we would talk about it any other time we meet beauty.” The dark-faced man said to her.
“Where am I supposed to see you again?” She asked.
“The paper note has all the necessary details.” The dark-faced man said to her.
“What can’t you tell me now?” Grave wanted to ask this loudly, but she ended up saying this in her head.
“Okay!” She said and gave him a one-eyed glance before she slid out of the car that had already been opened by the driver.
“Vooooomm!” Immediately she came down, the driver entered the car, and it zoomed off, and before she knew it, it had vanished from her sight.
She really could feel the queen treating the dark-faced man who was talking about her for only a few minutes with him.
“Damn!” She said and pinched her flesh to be sure she was not daydreaming.
“Damn, I would love to see the handsome devil again. He is so sweet. I never knew some devils have a good heart.” Grace said as she walked to enter the building.
“I am so happy that we also have the same eyes; I have the feeling that he has come to take me to where I would really be treated like a queen! Because indeed I am a queen.” Grace said to herself she was lucky to have encountered the young, beautiful devil already.
With his voice that couldn’t stop echoing in her ears and giving her peace.
