“Additionally, the one billion dollar reward from the House of Rothschild will be split with you once it arrives. You deserve half the credit for the successful conquest of the virus.”
“Finally, I want to make this achievement public in the international medical community to bring attention to Atrarian traditional medicine!”
Leo smiled and said, “You don’t need to give me any reward. Just help promote Atrarian traditional medicine.”
As long as Willow could recover, Leo had little interest in even hundreds of millions of dollars.
Monica stubbornly shook her head. “No, I must give you five hundred million dollars. It’s what you deserve.”
Not long after Monica and the others left, Willow woke up.
Leo checked her body and, confirming there were no issues, took out the immortal grass he had obtained while eating noodles with Sophia and asked Chasel to make chicken soup with it to nourish Willow.
Thanks to the miraculous nourishing effects of the immortal grass, Willow fully recovered in two days and returned to her busy work at the clinic.
A few days later, Old Sam from the city museum suddenly called.
“Old Sam, what’s up?” Leo asked directly.
Old Sam got straight to the point. “Leo, my young friend, I need a favor.”
“What is it?”
“The city museum has an upcoming international exhibition featuring Western Xia Treasury artifacts.”
Old Sam paused before continuing. “I was supposed to go, but something came up at home, so I can’t make it. I want you to go in my place.”
“Me? But I’m not a museum staff member,” Leo replied with a wry smile.
“I know, but without your help, we wouldn’t have discovered the Western Xia Treasury. You’re a key contributor! I recommended you to the director, and he agreed.”
Seeing Leo remain silent, Old Sam added with a hint of pleading in his voice, “Consider it a favor for an old man, will you?”
For some reason, an image of a woman flashed in Leo’s mind. He blurted out, “Is Chloe going?”
“She’s the leader of the Western Xia Treasury excavation team, so of course she’s going.”
Leo sensed that Old Sam was implying something by saying those words.
“How long will it take?”
“Just a week,” Old Sam replied.
Honestly, Leo hadn’t seen Chloe in a while and wondered how she was doing.
After some thought, Leo decided to go with Chloe. “Old Sam, will foreigners be interested in Western Xia Treasury artifacts?”
“Don’t worry about that. There’s a lot of interest in ancient and mysterious Atraria,” Old Sam said confidently.
“When do we leave?”
“In two days.”
“Where are we going?”
“The United States and Japan for now. If the response is good, we might add another country.”
“Alright. Should I come to the museum or go straight to the airport?”
“Come to the museum. There will be a car to take you to the airport.”
After hanging up with Old Sam, Leo gathered Chasel and Willow to inform them about his week-long trip abroad.
The clinic staff didn’t react much; they were used to Leo’s frequent absences.
Before bed, Leo also informed Sophia about his trip. To avoid unnecessary misunderstandings, he didn’t mention Chloe.
Unexpectedly, the next day at noon, a city museum staff member came to the clinic looking for Leo.
The staff member, Dakota, was about Leo’s age.
Upon seeing Leo, Dakota said directly, “Dr. Bloomer, come with me.”
“Where are we going?” Leo asked, confused.
“The international exhibition has been moved up. The director sent me to take you to the airport. We need to hurry,” Dakota said quickly.
Leo found himself hurriedly getting into a business car outside as Dakota instructed the driver to head to the airport as fast as possible.
In the car, Leo asked, “Why the sudden rush? Wasn’t it supposed to be in two days?”
“Goryeo’s Ewha Institute suddenly invited us to their exhibition. They offered a good price, so the director agreed,” Dakota explained.
Leo understood immediately. The location of the exhibition didn’t matter; what mattered was where they could make money.
At the airport, after passing through security, Dakota led Leo to the boarding gate.
Looking around, Leo asked, “Where are the director and Chloe?”
“They took an earlier flight this morning,” Dakota replied.
On the plane, Leo tried to learn more about the exhibition from Dakota. However, Dakota only knew that it was now being held in Goryeo and nothing else.
Dakota was outgoing and excited about the trip, talking non-stop except when eating.
“Dr. Bloomer, I’ve heard Goryeo women are very attractive. Too bad most are artificially enhanced; finding one without surgery is harder than finding a dinosaur.”
“Dr. Bloomer, I broke up with my girlfriend. I heard Goryeo nightclubs are great. We should check them out sometime.”
“Dr. Bloomer, I’ve heard…”
“Alright, alright. I’m going to sleep now,” Leo finally said, unable to stand Dakota’s chatter any longer. He reclined his seat and pretended to sleep.
Dakota finally fell silent.
A few hours later, a flight attendant’s gentle voice announced their arrival at Seoul Airport.
After disembarking, they were surrounded by unfamiliar Goryeo language.
Having rushed out without any luggage, they only had some cash and documents with them.
Standing in the airport, Leo and Dakota looked at each other in confusion.
“Uh, someone should be picking us up, right?” Leo asked.
“Yes, but they’re here for the director and Chloe,” Dakota sighed, realizing their low status in this exhibition.
“You know the address at least?” Leo asked through gritted teeth.
Dakota sensed Leo’s irritation and quickly replied, “I know it-Ewha Institute.”
Leo stared at Dakota without speaking.
Dakota lowered his head. “I thought saying Ewha Institute would be enough for them to find it. Haha.”
Leo resisted the urge to punch Dakota and said angrily, “Then you need to learn how to speak Goryeo first!”
