*Anonymous POV*
“I need to see the Dark Alpha immediately,” Damon demanded, his voice cold and urgent as he faced the guards outside the Dark Alpha’s castle.
The Dark Alpha was infamous among the shifters, feared as the most malevolent creature. His pack consisted of rogue wolves, trained to be merciless and heartless. The Dark Alpha sought power above all else and delighted in inflicting slow, agonizing deaths on his enemies, savoring their pleas for mercy.
“Wait here. We need to ask the Alpha whether he wants to see you,” one of the guards growled, his eyes narrowing as he scrutinized Damon from head to toe. Damon grimaced at the appearance of the guards. The guards were filthy and disheveled, a reflection of the brutal environment they thrived in.
Damon’s lips curled into a sinister grin. “He’ll be very pleased to hear what I have to say,” he said confidently, his tone dripping with malice.
The guard’s eyes flickered with suspicion but he turned and disappeared into the shadows of the castle. Damon stood there, his mind racing with the information and sinister planning he had in his mind. He wanted revenge and he knew only the Dark Alpha could help him.
After what felt like an eternity, the guard returned, his expression unreadable. “The Dark Alpha will see you now,” he said, motioning for Damon to follow.
Damon’s wicked grin widened as he stepped into the castle. He relished the thought of the chaos it would unleash, the pain it would cause. The Dark Alpha’s lair was as foreboding as its master, filled with the palpable tension of impending violence.
As Damon entered the throne room, he felt the oppressive presence of the Dark Alpha, who sat in shadow, his eyes gleaming with a mixture of curiosity and menace. “Speak,” the Alpha commanded, his voice a low, menacing growl.
Damon took a deep breath, his grin never wavering. “I bring news that will change everything,” he said, his voice steady and filled with dark promise.
The Dark Alpha leaned forward, intrigued. “Then speak quickly, vampire. I have little patience for games.”
Damon straightened, his pride evident. “Have you forgotten I am the Vampire King?” he declared, his voice rising smugly.
The Dark Alpha laughed coldly. “The Vampire King? You?” He laughed mockingly again, louder this time, making Damon clench his teeth in fury.
“Did you not hear the current news?” the Dark Alpha announced bitterly. “The news you brought is old. The new news is that the vampire kingdom has a new king.” He paused to watch Damon’s face, now twisted with frustration and disbelief. “And that’s your half-brother, Jasper Shadowborne.” he declared with a taunting smile.
“What are you talking about?” Damon growled, his golden trident glowing with his rage.
“Ah!” the Dark Alpha sighed playfully, sprawling over his throne. “The news has spread like wildfire that the Alpha King defeated you, and you escaped from the battlefield like a coward.”
“Shut up!” Damon roared, to which the Dark Alpha growled, and his guards appeared immediately, ready to take Damon into custody. But the Dark Alpha waved them off.
“This attitude won’t work here. You are not a king anymore, and you need my help. That’s why you’re here,” the Dark Alpha uttered with venom. “So spill out instantly what you have to offer me, or you will be the next meal for my wolf army.”
Damon’s eyes blazed with rage, but he knew he had no choice. “Fine,” he spat, struggling to keep his voice steady. “I have information on something you have been looking for for years. Information only I possess.”
The Dark Alpha leaned forward, his eyes gleaming with interest. “Now you’re speaking my language. Continue.”
“The ancient wolf has appeared,” Damon announced, his voice echoing through the vast expanse of the throne room.
“What?” The Dark Alpha snapped fiercely. “If this information is false, you will pay dearly for it. I don’t forgive cheaters and liars,” the Dark Alpha narrowed his eyes, threatening the cunning vampire dangerously.
“Says who?” Damon snorted, knowing the truth about the Dark Alpha, who would go to any extent for power and wouldn’t think twice before lying and betraying even his own people.
“Don’t provoke me, vampire,” the Dark Alpha growled, his dark aura intensifying and making Damon choke with disgust.
“Listen, I don’t need you to get my empire back. I can do it on my own,” Damon announced with confidence, making the Dark Alpha snort mockingly in response. “But my powers have failed against the ancient wolf. She possesses the divine power of the Moon Goddess, and even all the power in the world can’t defeat her. So we need a plan to weaken her and find a way to control her,” Damon explained.
The Dark Alpha leaned back, his interest piqued. “And what exactly is your plan, Damon?”
“You wouldn’t have to ask if you knew who she was,” Damon said, his eyes gleaming with malice.
“Who is she?” the Dark Alpha asked, his curiosity intense.
“Selena Ardolf!” Damon announced loudly, and the Dark Alpha’s eyes widened with surprise and joy.
“I knew it. I knew it. I always had an instinct that she had something unique about her. So, she is the one who carries the ancient wolf and her power,” the Dark Alpha chuckled, his eyes glowing menacingly. “Such great news. You’ve made me happy today, vampire.”
“Yes, she is the one. And I have to settle my old score with her,” Damon said, gritting his teeth with hatred. He had loved her for centuries, but now he was done waiting. Knowing she couldn’t be his, he wanted revenge.
The Dark Alpha’s smile grew even more sinister. “This just gets better and better. So, how do you plan to bring her down? She won’t be easy to overpower now.”
Damon’s eyes darkened with determination. “I know her weakness, and I’ll use it against her.”
The Dark Alpha nodded, looking impressed with Damon’s idea.
“So, are we in this together?” Damon asked the Dark Alpha.
“As long as I get the power, I am in,” the Dark Alpha smirked, a dangerous plan forming in his mind.
“Then it’s a deal,” Damon grinned, his eyes gleaming with filthy pleasure.
“Deal,” the Dark Alpha nodded smugly.
