Johnny couldn’t help but marvel at how identical the two faces were! When Ulric frowned, he had the same annoying seriousness. “I knew he was a lousy father!”
“Yes, indeed a lousy father!” Johnny bent down and picked up Jake, kissing him on the cheek. “Come on, uncle will take you to eat something delicious. Let’s forget about your lousy father. When we see him tomorrow, I’ll help you kick him twice!” Jake nodded vigorously, “Okay!”
Johnny took him to a restaurant. Having never looked after a child before, he had no idea what kids should eat. So he just chose the expensive dishes and ordered a table full of food. Before all the dishes were served, Sirena called. Seeing the number, Johnny really didn’t want to answer. But he knew Sirena wouldn’t let it go easily! After hesitating for a moment, he had to pick up.
“Hello?”
“Where are you?” Sirena asked urgently.
“Out, eating.”
“I heard that a child who looks just like Ulric came to the company today looking for him?”
Johnny’s head hurt. He knew this would get to her sooner or later. “Seems like it…”
“Don’t play dumb with me. The security said they couldn’t find Ulric and sent the child to your office. Don’t tell me you don’t know!”
Sirena called Johnny as soon as she heard this news. She didn’t want to waste a second.
Johnny sighed before speaking, “Why are you always questioning me? The kid isn’t mine, and I didn’t bring him here.”
“Then tell me, where is the child now?”
Johnny glanced at Jake, planning to imitate him. “I don’t know.”
“Where did he go last?”
“I don’t know.”
“Who picked him up?”
“I don’t know.”
“Johnny!” Sirena’s voice was filled with anger. “You know how important this is to me! If that really is Ulric’s child, have you thought about what I should do?!”
Even Sirena didn’t dare think about what she would do if it turned out to be true! Accepting that he had another woman’s child?
“What’s wrong with you? If that child is Ulric’s, what does it have to do with you?” Johnny questioned her constant attachment to Ulric. “At most, you two are friends now. Maybe in Ulric’s eyes, you’re just a subordinate his father forced on him! What does his having a child have to do with you?”
“I can’t accept being someone’s stepmother!”
“Don’t worry, Ulric doesn’t plan on making you a stepmother.”

Johnny’s face darkened as he spoke softly, “It’s been years; you should understand by now! Don’t really think of yourself as his wife! As long as he doesn’t agree, you’re not.”
Johnny didn’t know what came over him; he just couldn’t hold back from snapping at her. Over the years, she had lived in a fantasy world and even tried to interfere in Ulric’s affairs.
Johnny saw through her; this woman had no good intentions! To get Ulric, she would do anything; it was terrifying and beyond mere jealousy. Love can be fought for, but did she have to kill his mother? How scary.
