“How dare you!” The old man with white hair frowned. “The Azure Clan is not a place for a mere flying beast to…”
“You old fool, you’re too noisy!” White Feather interrupted him. “If you want to fight, then hurry up. If not, shut up!”
“Kameron, don’t stop me. Today, I must teach her a lesson!” The old man was infuriated by White Feather.
After all, he was a third-rank Controlled Kun Realm expert, yet he was being insulted by a mere flying beast. It was intolerable!
“Do as you wish!” Kameron Bond shrugged. “If you want death, I won’t stop you!”
Although he didn’t know White Feather’s exact strength, he could tell from Billy’s expression that she can handle the old man.
He also grew more curious about White Feather.
He had seen many birds and beasts that could speak human language, and even some that could transform into human form, but he had a feeling that White Feather was no ordinary flying beast.
“Face your doom!” The old man shouted again.
As his words fell, a wave of scorching heat burst from his body. His hands turned continuously, and in the blink of an eye, he formed a fireball.
Having witnessed White Feather’s attack earlier, he decided to counter with fire.
As he pushed his hands forward, the fireball surged towards White Feather like a falling meteor.
“Let’s fight then!” White Feather responded loudly.
With that, she narrowed her eyes slightly and then breathed out a wave of heat.
As the heat wave passed, the air ignited instantly, lighting up half the sky. A fiery dragon appeared in the void, and the temperature soared.
The old man’s fireball was insignificant compared to the fiery dragon.
As soon as the two forces collided, the fireball exploded, sending flames in all directions.
What shocked the old man most was that the fiery dragon was barely affected. It paused briefly before rushing towards him again.
Its speed left him little time to react. Even though he responded immediately, it was too late.
In the next moment, his body was incinerated by the fiery dragon, turning to ashes in an instant. His soul fled.
Dark Puppet chased after him.
“Spare me! Don’t kill me! I’ll submit…” The soul cried out in terror.
Having witnessed Dark Puppet’s horror, he knew that if he didn’t surrender, he would be utterly destroyed!
“Mr. Billy, please show mercy!” Kameron Bond shouted.
With his words, Dark Puppet retreated towards Billy.
Billy had no intention of completely annihilating the opponent. He had killed the first-rank Controlled Kun Realm expert earlier to set an example.
Now that the deterrent effect was achieved, there was no need to kill another.
The Azure Clan had declined to this extent. Losing another Controlled Kun Realm expert would be too much. He didn’t want to make it difficult for Greta.
“Th-thank you…” The old man said with difficulty.
“Does anyone else want to kill Mr. Billy to avenge Curtis Wade?” Kameron Bond asked loudly.
Everyone remained silent.
Who would dare seek revenge now? No, no one wanted death.
“If not, then disperse!” Kameron Bond continued. “The young lady will emerge soon. All matters will be discussed after she comes out!”
“Understood!” Many people responded simultaneously.
Then, White Feather carried Billy and landed in Greta’s courtyard, with Kameron Bond following closely behind.
Upon arrival, White Feather returned to the Nine Dragons Cauldron Space.
“Thank you, Mr. Billy!” Kameron Bond bowed deeply to Billy.
Without Billy today, he could imagine the dire consequences for his side.
“Kameron, you’re too kind. It was nothing,” Billy smiled faintly.
“Mr. Billy, how is your injury?” Kameron Bond asked.
“It’s fine. Just need some time to recover,” Billy replied.
That strike had shown him the power of the ‘Sky Burial Blade’ and its severe aftereffects. He wouldn’t use it unless absolutely necessary.
“Mr. Billy, how is the young lady inside the Nine Dragons Cauldron? Is she alright?” Kameron Bond asked again.
“She should be fine,” Billy shook his head. “But it might take some more time.”
Greta had mentioned to him before that only Kameron Bond knew about the Nine Dragons Cauldron, so he wasn’t surprised that Kameron knew of its existence.
“As long as she’s fine,” Kameron Bond nodded.
“Where are the other members of the Azure Clan?” Billy asked next.
Greta had mentioned that there were over ten thousand members of the Azure Clan, but he had only seen about a hundred so far.
“This alternate space is vast. Where we are now is just a small part,” Kameron Bond explained.
“There is a small city thousands of miles away where most of the Azure Clan lives.”
“Over the years, they are self-sufficient and doing quite well.”
“I see,” Billy nodded and continued. “Greta wants to restore her body and soul not just because of her agreement with Curtis Wade, right?”
Before Kameron could respond, Billy added, “Is it related to Heaven’s Scourge?”
“To be honest, it is,” Kameron Bond nodded.
“If it weren’t for Heaven’s Scourge, staying in this space wouldn’t be bad for the Azure Clan. At least they could recuperate here…”
“Does Heaven’s Scourge really exist?” Billy asked again.
“No one can answer that definitively,” Kameron Bond shook his head. “At least not in the eighth-tier star domain.”
“It’s just a legend?” Billy asked once more.
“Yes,” Kameron Bond nodded again. “But there’s no smoke without fire. It’s better to believe it exists than not. If it does…”
“Can the Nine Dragons Cauldron resist Heaven’s Scourge?” Billy interrupted him.
“That’s also just a legend with several versions. No one knows for sure,” Kameron Bond said.
“What are those versions?” Billy asked curiously.
“I only know one version,” Kameron Bond replied. “It’s said that when Heaven’s Scourge descends, hiding inside the Nine Dragons Cauldron can keep you safe.”
“Is that true?” Billy asked.
“I’m not sure,” Kameron Bond shook his head.
“Can Heaven’s Scourge be avoided?” Billy asked again.
“No one can answer that because most people don’t even understand what Heaven’s Scourge truly is,” Kameron Bond shook his head once more.
“I see,” Billy nodded thoughtfully.
For the next ten days or so, Billy stayed in Greta’s courtyard to train.
After Curtis Wade was killed, his faction knew they were defeated and quieted down. The entire space became unusually peaceful.
During these ten days, Billy focused all his energy on practicing the ‘Sky Burial Blade.’
Through relentless training day and night, he managed to reach Minor Ascension Realm with it.
Now all he lacked was cultivation. If his cultivation improved and he had enough true energy, he could use this technique anytime.
It became another life-saving card for him!
One day, after finishing his training and sitting on a stone bench, a graceful figure emerged from his body.
She appeared around Harleen’s age, with fair skin, delicate features, and an elegant figure dressed in white. She exuded an ethereal aura.
It was clearly Greta!
“Should I call you Greta or Jasmine?” Billy smiled at her.
