Chapter 2406: Greta’s Strength

“Both of you, die!” Celestial Sage’s angry voice interrupted Greta, as he raised his hand and formed a seal that came crashing down.
Billy soared into the air, flipping his wrist to unleash a Slaughter Sky.
After the loud clash, Billy plummeted rapidly, creating a massive crater in the ground and spitting out a mouthful of blood.
In contrast, Celestial Sage was blasted back a thousand meters by the shockwave, blood also spilling from his mouth. He had already been injured in his previous battle with White Feather, so taking a direct hit from Slaughter Sky was no easy feat.
“Sir, are you alright?” Greta shouted as she approached the crater to check on Billy.
As she spoke, Celestial Sage, who had just regained his balance, turned and flew into the sky.
Initially, he intended to kill Billy no matter what, but after realizing the Evil Array had failed, he lost all desire to continue fighting.
He knew that even one-on-one, he wasn’t confident in defeating Billy, especially with a powerful avian creature inside Billy’s body. Staying any longer would surely mean his death.
However, he was clearly overthinking it. With things having progressed this far, there was no way Billy would let him escape.
As soon as Celestial Sage turned around, Billy’s figure vanished from the crater and he activated Nether Wings to give chase. At the same time, Dark Puppet shot out from his body and quickly closed in on Celestial Sage.
What happened next was simple. Under the combined assault of Billy and Dark Puppet, Celestial Sage held out for seven or eight rounds before being cut down by another Slaughter Sky. His soul was also destroyed and was absorbed by Dark Puppet.
With that, only three or four severely injured members of Celestial Pavilion’s Condensed Kun Realm remained alive; everyone else had perished. The fall of Celestial Pavilion was complete.
In his final moments, Celestial Sage truly regretted his actions. If he had known it would come to this, he wouldn’t have pursued his ambitions so recklessly, losing his entire sect in the process.
After dealing with Celestial Sage, Billy landed in the plaza.
Soon, other sect members emerged from the depths of the estate and approached Billy to bow and express their gratitude. Without Billy’s intervention today, few of them would have survived.
“Mr. Billy, all the remaining Celestial Pavilion members are concentrated in several palaces inside. How do you want to handle them?” an elder asked Billy.
“Have them dismantle their protective formations and decide their own fate,” Billy replied. He had no interest in dealing with the remaining members and wasn’t worried about them seeking revenge. He had faced many opponents on his journey and a few more wouldn’t make a difference.
“Understood,” the elder responded.
About fifteen minutes later, Billy descended the mountain with Greta following closely behind.
“Here’s your storage ring. Take it back and stop following me,” Billy said, handing over the ring.
“Sir, you keep it,” Greta replied. “Those items are useless to me anyway. If I keep them, they’ll just go to waste or get lost.”
“Tell me your true purpose for seeking me out,” Billy interrupted her, taking back the storage ring. Since she insisted on not taking it, he was happy to keep it; at least his trip to Celestial Pavilion wasn’t for nothing.
“Sir, don’t think so badly of me. I just want to be friends with you, nothing more,” Greta said with a pout.
“Still not willing to say? Then don’t. I’m not interested in knowing,” Billy interrupted again. “I have other matters to attend to. Goodbye.” He turned to leave.
“Sir, don’t you want to know how to comprehend the Heaven Book?” Greta suddenly asked.
“Don’t tell me you can comprehend it?” Billy paused.
“I can’t, but I know someone who can,” Greta replied. “Someone genuine, not a fraud like Celestial Sage.”
“Who?” Billy could tell from her eyes that she wasn’t lying this time.
“I don’t know who she is exactly, but I know where to find her,” Greta said again.
“Where?” Billy asked.
“A place far from here. It might take a month to get there,” Greta responded.
“You know how to get there?” Billy asked again.
“Yes,” Greta nodded. “If you want to go, I can take you there right now.”
“You should know what happens if you deceive me,” Billy warned.
“Sir, I’m not lying. Can’t you trust me just once?” Greta pleaded.
“Lead the way,” Billy said after a brief thought. Opal and Harleen were in seclusion and wouldn’t emerge anytime soon. Everyone was safe at Fairy’s place, so he wasn’t worried about their safety.
With nowhere else to go for now, he decided to follow her; perhaps there really was an extraordinary person waiting to be found. He already had three volumes of the Heaven Book and comprehending them could yield significant benefits.
“You agreed to go?” Greta’s face lit up with joy. “Then let’s head to Endless City first and use the teleportation channel from there.”
“Let’s go,” Billy nodded.
Three or four days later, they arrived outside Endless City’s gates.
“Sir, since we’re not in a hurry, can we stay in Endless City for two days before leaving?” Greta asked Billy. “It’s my first time here and I’d like to explore.”
“What do you want to see?” Billy asked.
“Just wander around,” Greta replied. “I’ve never been to many places before. Let me have some fun here.”
“You have one day. We’ll leave the day after tomorrow morning,” Billy said after some thought.
“I knew you’d agree! Thank you!” Greta stuck out her tongue playfully.
They found an inn near the city gate and checked in. After a quick wash in her room, Greta informed Billy she was heading out and left the inn.
Billy didn’t bother asking where she was going; he wasn’t too concerned about her safety.
Although he could only detect first-rank Supreme Source Realm abilities from her, he was eighty percent sure that wasn’t her true strength.
Everything about Greta felt like a lie to him except for one thing: she hadn’t shown any malice towards him yet.
Whether that would change in the future was not something he needed to worry about now.
After Greta left, Billy entered Nine Dragons Cauldron Space.
“Billy, could that girl be after Nine Dragons Cauldron as well?” Purple Spirit asked as she approached him.
“Most likely!” White Feather added as he joined them. “Be careful, Billy!”
“Yes,” Billy smiled at them. “Can you determine her true strength?”
“We can’t be sure of specifics but at least Controlled Kun Realm early stage,” Purple Spirit replied.
“So strong?” Billy was slightly taken aback. Even though he had anticipated that Greta’s true strength wouldn’t be weak, he hadn’t expected it to be this strong! Fifteen or sixteen years old and already at Controlled Kun Realm-was that even possible?
“It could be even stronger,” White Feather added. “But her body or soul seems problematic; her aura fluctuates inconsistently.”
“Yes,” Billy nodded; he had noticed that too. “I’m going to try that mystic art for cultivating bloodlines. Keep an eye on me and intervene if anything goes wrong.”
