BE MY GIRLFRIEND.

“You are fucking sick. Why will I want to use wolfsbane on you? Are you insane? Why would I wanna waste my time on your ass when I could use it to do something better?”
“Don’t act innocent and confident here. We both know what you did to me.”
“Both?” Ash frowned. “I don’t think so. I’m not with you on this. You’ve gone nuts, James. Seems to me the medications you took are seeping through your brains. Go take some rest.”
“I wouldn’t let this-” James paused, staggered for a second and collapsed.
“James!” We all rushed over to him in panic.
Two weeks passed, James hasn’t been to school ever since. Rumors were still flying around about what he said about Ash poisoning him with wolfsbane.
There was no evidence that Ash was behind his predicament.
If Ash truly poisoned him, why would he do that to him?
And what did he mean when he said Ash knows everything about us?
I darted my eyes to Ash’s direction; he kept laughing and discussing with Jinx and Anderson.
While Willow chatted with her classmates, leaving me to work on the assignment our class teacher gave me.
My eyes moved to the empty chair of James and I think it was time to pay him a visit and see how he was.
And his home wasn’t far from my home, anyway.
I got home, and Ash was so focused on his assignment when I walked up to him.
He looked up from his laptop and raised his brows to ask me what was wrong.
“You are working hard.” I muttered and sat down at the dining table beside him.
“You think so?”
“Yeah.” I agreed with him with a little chuckle.
He grinned. “Hmm…I like the sound of that.”
“Yeah.” I nodded and questioned. “Why don’t we go see James? He hasn’t been to school since that incident.”
Ash played with his pen, using both fingers with a deep expression.
“Ok, I know you are angry about what he did to you. Just forgive him. He probably didn’t mean what he said to you.”
“Forgive him?!” He kept playing with his pen. “Are you serious with me right now? I should forgive someone who called me out in front of almost the entire school and accused me of using wolfsbane on him? Someone who said I poisoned him.”
I sighed. “Ash-”
Ash stood up from his chair. “You know the problem with you, sis, is you are too softhearted and a people pleaser? It pisses me off when you do that.”
“Listen, he must have-”
“I don’t give a damn. Don’t tell me to forgive him. If he was truly sorry about what he did, he would seek my forgiveness and not the other way round, Violet.”
I didn’t know what to do anymore but to keep silent about the whole thing. Ash left and came back with a glass of orange juice for himself and sat back down on the chair.
“Ok, I’m sorry for suggesting such a thing. I was just worried about you.”
“Don’t be, Violet. You know I care about you.”
“Me too.” I laughed and went over to him for a hug.
He hugged me back and softly rubbed my back with both hands.
We stayed that way for the next five minutes before I pulled away when I noticed it was getting uncomfortable.
“I need to go take my bath.” I announced and walked away from him.
“You better do it.” He laughed and focused on his assignment as I rushed to my room and took a deep breath.
Why does his pheromones smell so good?
A month passed, James was finally at school.
I walked past him in the hallway. I didn’t want to look at his face and make the situation awkward as it already is. I didn’t visit him in his home to see how he was doing anymore.
I didn’t want to cause a scene.
My butler gave me the details and how he was coping instead of going to meet him.
I didn’t want to make the situation worse because of what I did when he confronted Ash.
I didn’t care to listen to his side of the story because he kept accusing Ash of poisoning him, and I didn’t like that.
He was accusing my brother of killing him. That really pissed me off, and I didn’t care to wait and listen to what he had to say.
So, going over to his home to check on him made me feel guilty for what I have done.
I strolled to my locker when he turned around and walked up to me. I was nervous and wondered what he was going to do.
“Violet.” He called. “To the rooftop, now.” He commanded, and I followed him to the rooftop to check how he was doing and what he wanted to see me for.
I guess he was mad at me for not visiting him to see how he was doing.
“James.” I called him when I finally saw him standing and facing the sky.
He turned around and moved to me and hugged me. I was stunned at his actions and wondered why he was hugging me.
“I missed you so much.” He whispered.
“James.” I whispered too, and he pulled away from me and kissed me on my lips. We kept kissing for about ten minutes, sucking each other’s tongue passionately, before he pulled away from my lips.
His lips were so warm and firm.
I love kissing those lips with his hands wrapped around my back, making me feel so safe in his arms.
“I’m sorry.” I apologized. “For not staying by your side.”
“It’s okay, Violet.”
“It is not okay. I could have defended you, but I didn’t, and that makes it so sad.” I rubbed my face with both hands. “Don’t know why you accused Ash for poisoning you but, I’m sorry for lashing out at you, without hearing your side of the story.”
“You don’t have to be guilty about it. I would do the same if I were in your shoes.”
“James.”
“It is okay.” He smiled. “All I want from you is to make it up to me.”
“Make it up to you?” He nodded, still smiling at me. “How?!” I asked.
“Be My girlfriend.”
I sighed and took a step back, away from him. “Why do you want me to date you? We talked about this.”
“I can’t get you out of my mind. I can’t stop thinking about you. I dream about you every night. I’ve been in love with you for years. Are my reasons not enough for you?”
“James-“
