I woke up with kisses on my cheeks. Yawning, I peeked an eye open to glare at my mates before I closed them back. We did little last night, but it felt like we did a lot. My back especially was hurting me like nothing else.
“Come on, darling,” Blue said as he held my hand. “It’s time to get up from the bed, time to grace the entire world with your loving presence.”
“But I don’t want that!” I stubbornly lay on the bed, not getting up at all. I didn’t want that. I wanted to lie on the bed throughout the day, only waking up when my body asked me to.
“But we do.”
My mates were insisting. I couldn’t continue sleeping because there was no way I could do that, not with them buzzing around my ears like houseflies.
Letting out a frustrated sigh, I got up from the bed. Stretching my arms, I glared at them. “What’s wrong? Why did you wake me so early? The last time I checked, I didn’t have any meetings set for the day. Do you -”
“We want to take you somewhere,” Fred said, interrupting me before I could complete my words. He smiled, his eyes crinkling at the sides as he got up from the bed.
“Where?” I perked up at that, my eyes sparkling like rare gems. “Where are you taking me to? Is it for a date?”
“Not telling. Get up, have your bath, and get dressed. We will wait downstairs for you.” At Blue’s words, I gave them an appraisal for the first time since I woke, noting how dressed up they were like they were going somewhere.
I narrowed my eyes at that. “Where are we going?”
“Somewhere.” Sending a wink my way, Blue turned and walked towards the door. “Be ready in thirty minutes, else we will cancel this for another day,” he added, stepping out and closing the door behind him.
At his words, I sprang up from the bed as if all hell were after me. I rushed towards the bathroom and had a hasty bath before I left for my room. I wiped my body and got dressed in blue jeans and a black crop top, one which showed off my navel. It wasn’t the right outfit for a queen, but can you blame me? I was just taking a break from everything.
I tied my blonde hair in a bun, letting a few strands out on the face. I curled them until they gave me the feeling I wanted before I left the room. I had never been mad about makeup, so I didn’t bother with it.
As long as my mates never bothered about that, I didn’t think it was necessary to worry over something like that when, according to my mates, I looked more beautiful without them.
My stomach was in a ball of nerves as I walked towards the stairs. Though I tried not to think of where they were taking me, I couldn’t help it at all. My mind kept on trying to come up with different scenarios. However, when I reached the private sitting room and saw them with the babies and a smiling Chrys, I knew this wasn’t a romantic date like I thought it was.
Why else would they bring the kids if it was?
“Mum!” Chrys ran over to me, grinning with her beautiful eyes sparkling like rare gems. “Daddy Fred is taking us out!” She announced, smirking at Fred, while Blue kept on shooting intense stares at her. She had yet to make peace with him, so they were still enemies.
“So?” I walked over to where my mates were sitting, with my hands placed on my waist and a brow lifted at them. “Where are you taking us to?”
I made the ‘us’ sound deep, so they knew what I was thinking about.
“Come on. It wouldn’t be that bad. We promise.” Chuckling, they led the way. Blue carried Aria and Elijah, while Fred held Kaius and Chrys. He didn’t carry her, though. He only carried Kaius and held Chrys with his free hand, leaving me to walk behind them, still wondering where they were taking us.
…..
Like I guessed earlier. It was a family date. My mates took us to the small beach at the back of their palace, one I hadn’t even seen before. If I had, I would have come over here a long time ago with Chris.
The sun shone brightly, casting a warm glow over our private beach. The sound of the waves gently lapping at the shore created a soothing melody that seemed to match the beating of my heart.
My mates were already setting up the picnic area, their broad shoulders and powerful arms making quick work of the task. Chrys ran around, laughing and playing with Fred, who was trying to get his work done, while the triplets were sleeping peacefully in their strollers.
I stood watching them with a small smile on my lips at the thought of spending all my life with them.
“Hey, beautiful,” Blue said, bringing me back to the present as he walked over to me and wrapped his arms around my waist. “You look lovely today.”
“She’s always stunning,” Fred added, walking over to us and leaving Chrys to watch the babies.
I blushed, feeling a sense of happiness and contentment wash over me. This was what I had always wanted-a loving family, a beautiful home, and two husbands who adored me.
I couldn’t ask for anything else, couldn’t be too selfish to do that.
We spent the day lounging on the beach, playing with the kids, and enjoying each other’s company. My mates took turns holding me, kissing me, and whispering sweet nothings in my ear. They didn’t make it too intense because of Chrys who was with us.
As the sun set, we settled down for a romantic picnic dinner. My mates sat on either side of me, their legs touching mine as we ate and laughed together. Chrys was now sleeping with the babies whom we fed a few minutes ago.
I figured they would disturb, but they were surprisingly calm as if they knew their parents needed time for themselves.
After dinner, Blue pulled out a guitar and started strumming a soft melody that seemed to match the atmosphere. Fred got up, taking me with him. He took my hand, his fingers intertwining with mine as we swayed to the music.
I felt like I was in a dream, surrounded by the people I loved most in the world. This was our little slice of heaven, our private paradise.
“I didn’t know you could play so well,” I said to Blue when he dropped the guitar.
“You don’t know half of the things we can do, Bunny, especially with our tongue and fingers.” Winking at me, he got up and walked over to the kids, leaving me with flushed cheeks and a racing heart…
