“Yes! I remember now, I’ve seen his portrait!” a woman responded.
A commotion erupted around them as many people began to recognize him.
“So it’s the legendary Mr. Billy, I’ve heard so much about you!” Celestial Sage said, looking at Billy with a respectful gesture.
“I’ve heard that Mr. Billy is young and talented. Meeting you today proves it true!”
“Are you still planning to keep up the act?” Billy smiled faintly. “Then go ahead!”
“What do you mean?” Celestial Sage maintained a smile as he spoke.
“Someone just stole the Heaven Book and blended into the crowd. Mr. Billy must have seen it. Now, let’s have everyone take out their storage rings for inspection. Is there a problem with that?”
“On the surface, it seems reasonable,” Billy replied with a slight smile. “However, you have several flaws in your plan.”
“First, when you attacked him, you didn’t use your full strength, and he only used seventy to eighty percent of his power.”
“Second, you knew that fighting him in the air would affect the people below, yet you didn’t hesitate.”
“You thought, the more you kill, the better, because you didn’t plan to let anyone leave alive today.”
“Third, when he was injured by your palm strike earlier, it was obviously staged for us to see. You only used sixty to seventy percent of your power; it couldn’t have hurt him.”
“From another perspective, if he were truly injured, with your strength, you could have easily found him by sensing his presence in the crowd. But you did nothing.”
The crowd turned to look at Celestial Sage simultaneously.
Could it be true?
“Mr. Billy, your points are too far-fetched!” The Celestial Pavilion Master frowned slightly.
“Far-fetched?” Billy continued to smile faintly.
“Sage, Master, we’ve checked everyone’s storage rings and found no Heaven Book!” At this moment, a Celestial Pavilion elder spoke to Celestial Sage and the Pavilion Master.
“Mr. Billy, to prove your innocence, please hand over your storage ring for inspection,” the Pavilion Master continued.
“Heh, what if I refuse?” Billy smiled again.
“Mr. Billy, we don’t want to be your enemy, but please cooperate with us, or don’t blame us for being rude!” Another Celestial Pavilion elder spoke loudly.
“Mr. Billy, if you didn’t do it, just show them your storage ring.”
“Yeah, everyone’s storage rings have been checked except for yours. You two are the most suspicious!”
“If you don’t hand over your storage ring, we won’t agree either. We’re still waiting for the real person to explain the Heaven Book to us!”
A chorus of voices rose around them.
Although they were still pondering the truth of Billy’s words, they were clearly more inclined to believe that Billy had taken the Heaven Book.
“You’re all being used as pawns and still trying to curry favor with them. It’s ridiculous!” Greta shouted after scanning the crowd.
“Do you think the Celestial Pavilion activated this boundary barrier to prevent the thief from escaping?”
“Little girl, stay out of this! It’s none of your business!” A man from the crowd shouted.
“What a bunch of idiots!” Greta continued.
“This barrier is meant to keep you from leaving. Unless you willingly submit to the Celestial Pavilion from now on, no one will leave here alive!”
“Outrageous! Who are you? Stop spouting nonsense, or I’ll be rude!” A Celestial Pavilion elder shouted angrily.
“What? Angry because I exposed you?” Greta continued.
“Don’t let her spout nonsense here. Take her away!” The Pavilion Master frowned.
“Alright!” An elder stepped forward towards Greta.
“Sir, I don’t want to go with them. Save me!” Greta clung to Billy’s arm.
At the same time, the elder reached out towards Greta but was sent flying before he could touch her, landing a hundred meters away and spitting blood.
“Mr. Billy, do you really want to oppose the Celestial Pavilion?” The Pavilion Master frowned again.
“I’m giving you a chance. Remove the barrier now and let everyone leave safely, and we can forget about today,” Billy responded.
“If Mr. Billy insists on this, then we can’t be blamed!” The Pavilion Master said and looked around.
“You all saw it; it’s not us bullying others but Mr. Billy being too obstinate!”
“Mr. Billy, just hand over your storage ring!”
“Yeah! Otherwise, we can’t stand by!”
“If you don’t hand over your storage ring, you won’t leave here today!”
A chorus of accusatory voices rose around them.
“You won’t admit you’re idiots!” Greta spoke again. “I’ll show you something so you know how foolish you are!”
She took out an Image Storage Stone from another storage ring and focused her gaze on it.
The next moment, an image appeared in mid-air with sound and visuals.
The scene was inside a palace room where four people sat; the leader was the current Pavilion Master of the Celestial Pavilion, and the other three were elders of the Celestial Pavilion.
Their conversation was simple and aligned with what Billy had previously guessed!
After watching it, a commotion broke out on-site as everyone realized they had been played. Anger appeared on their faces.
“The Celestial Pavilion has gone too far!” A man shouted angrily.
“I can’t believe they’re such hypocrites! We were blind!” A woman said simultaneously.
“What are you waiting for?!” Celestial Sage glared at his son angrily.
Such a big flaw went unnoticed; what an idiot!
A perfect plan ruined!
As he spoke, his sharp gaze swept over Greta.
The Pavilion Master exhaled deeply and looked around before speaking loudly.
“Everyone listen! Our target is Billy. If you help us capture him!”
“My father will fulfill his promise. Not only will he let you copy the Heaven Book, but he’ll also teach you how to comprehend it!”
“Of course, if you don’t want to cooperate, I won’t force you. But you’re either friends or enemies; think carefully!”
“Don’t listen to him! Copying the Heaven Book is meaningless!” Greta shouted again.
“And Celestial Sage doesn’t understand the Heaven Book himself; how can he teach you…”
“You talk too much!” Celestial Sage interrupted her sternly.
As he spoke, his gaze sharpened and he raised his hand towards Billy and Greta’s direction.
The next moment, a massive phantom hand swept towards them, shattering the void…
