Chapter 103

Book:Her Alpha's Rejected Mate Published:2024-11-25

Alpha Rolan’s POV
It had been a few days, and I was yet to recover from the emotions I felt when I saw Pandora in that hospital with her back turned to the woman who wanted to shoot at her. If not for my timely arrival, she would have been killed.
“Rolan, it’s been a few days, yet you have refused to speak or eat with me. I am deeply sorry. I just wanted to see Mrs. Edna. You must understand that when I needed someone the most, she was there for me.” She explained, her voice shaky from emotions.
“You don’t understand, Pandora. All those months that I looked for you, I almost went crazy not knowing where you were or even alive. Keep it in mind, that I had vehemently refused you stepping out of the palace without security details. You have flouted my commands at every given opportunity. If you, my wife who is supposed to listen to me, disobeys me, then no one else owes me that. You want to make it seem like I do not have a say in my home. That I am a powerful king whose wife does not respect?” I yelled at her, my body shaking from the anger burning in my chest.
She stared at me, her eyes glistening with unshed tears. My words had hurt her, it was obvious, but Pandora was becoming too reckless and did not understand the situation we were dealing with. She had disappeared from the palace the very day we found the skinned fox and the note at the gate of my palace.
The panic I felt for the thirty minutes it took for me to get to her exact location was worse than what I felt when I lost her the first time to Uncle Joe. The very location that I hid from her because of how dangerous it was.
“Rolan, I just wanted to see Mrs. Edna. I don’t think I’ve done anything wrong for you to treat me the way you are now.” She said as the tears ran down her eyes.
I hated nothing more than to see her cry, but considering the gravity of the situation, it was important that I was firm in handling her.
“You disobeyed me. I am your husband, the father of your children, and your Alpha. I am more to you than I am to anyone else in this pack. Do you know how worried I was when we searched for you and couldn’t find you? While you were on your way to the one place I told you that you could not go to.” I fired at her. Emotional manipulation and being cute was not going to cut it out this time.
“I am sorry for that then. I am sorry. There’s nothing I haven’t done in the past few days to get you to talk to me. Did you save my life so you could kill me with emotional frustration?” She said and held my waist tightly, wetting my chest with her tears.
Staying mad at Pandora was never going to work, so I needed to find a way to get her to listen to my orders.
“Look, if we are going to be cool going forward, we will need to set some ground rules,” I said and she nodded her head gently.
“Fine baby bear. I will do anything you tell me to. I’ve missed you so much. Did Griffin tell you that I have not been able to eat?” She sniffled and pouted her cute lips at me.
I wiped her tear-stained face and set her on my lap as I sat down.
“Listen to me carefully Pandora, you can’t leave the palace without adequate security measures being put in place. We have enemies, and we don’t even know where they will come from. It is risky for you to just walk off like that, especially without my knowledge or that of anyone. I promise that I am not restricting your movements, I am just trying to keep you safe. Do you understand me?” I asked her and she nodded her head.
“I will need you to talk to me, so I’m going to take your word for it.” I urged her, seeing that she wanted to sulk about me yelling at her.
“Yes. I have heard you. I will not go out without observing that proper security measures are put in place.” She said and I smiled.
“Good, secondly, you must tell me wherever you are going to and if you change your mind, I am to be informed immediately. This will help me keep a close tab on you. Seeing you that day with a gun pointed at you was the worst. Don’t ever put me in that situation again if we can avoid it, do you hear me?” I warned her, and she curled in my lap, kissing my cheeks.
“Okay, baby.” She said,
“Good. That will be all. I have forgiven you.” I said and she kissed me on the lips. Gently at first, but when I tried to pull away she kissed me more deeply.
The doctor had said to give ourselves six weeks before we have sex, but seeing what Pandora was doing at the moment, it was difficult to tell if we would both be able to wait that long.
“Pandora, we have to wait for six weeks,” I protested, tearing my lips away from hers.
“I know. It just felt really good to kiss you after all these days.” She said and put her head on my shoulder.
She was aroused, her pupils were dilated, and her nipples poked out angrily in her t-shirt.
“I promise you, as soon as it is healthy enough for us to do it, I will take you so hard that you won’t remember your name when you orgasm.” I teased her and pressed her boobs slightly.
We heard the cries of the babies and rushed to them in their little cots. Pandora carried one of them and breastfed him while I carried the other, patting him gently on his back.
This was the life I’ve always wanted. A beautiful happy life with a beautiful wife and kids. If only I knew what was waiting in store for us.
