Chapter 80: Pandora’s POV

I was shocked by the sight of the strange woman who had her legs wrapped tightly around Rolan’s waist. Clearing my throat multiple times to announce my presence, but the woman pretended not to have heard any of it.
“Marilyn?” I heard him hiss. He pulled her away from his body angrily, pushing her with such force that she staggered back and fell on her butt.
“Ahhh Rolan! What the hell did you do that for?” She cried as she struggled to get off the floor.
“What the fuck are you doing here, Marilyn? I thought we had an agreement.” He snapped at her, before catching the shocked expression on my face.
“Oh shit!” He muttered. Deciding not to respond to the situation, I walked past him and the lady, Marilyn, without sparing either of them a glance.
“Pandora, it’s not what you think. I want to sort this out right here. Marilyn and I used to be friends, then we got engaged. For certain reasons, we did not end up getting married, so we agreed that she should leave to avoid any bad blood. I don’t know what she is here for…”
“Pandora!” Kiara screamed and ran towards me, cutting Rolan shut.
“Kiara!” I yelled and ran to her, meeting her halfway. She enveloped me in one of the warmest hugs ever.
I missed her, I knew that these were the emotions that occupied the emptiness that I had felt since I regained consciousness.
The tears flowed so much that Rolan and Griffin had to pull us apart. Rolan led me in while Griffin brought Kiara in, followed closely by some man that I had never seen before today.
“Rolan, what is happening? What is that Marilyn woman doing here?” I asked him, my voice, still laden with my emotional reunion from seeing Kiara again.
“Was it Griffin that informed you?” Rolan asked Kiara, she seemed hesitant before deciding to answer the question.
“Let’s sit down first,” Griffin said and we all sat down.
“Actually, Griffin was not the first to tell me about seeing you with Pandora. You were all followed,” Kiara announced.
“Followed? By whom? Why do you have someone following the Alpha?” The strange man questioned Kiara.
“Who are you?” I asked him, upset that he had spoken to my friend that way.
“Baby, this is Caleb. He is one of the wolves. He was the one who helped me find you.” Rolan explained and interlocked his hands with mine.
“Okay. Well, tell the leader of the wolves that if he still wants to keep his head attached to his neck, he should not speak to my friend like that again. If he was so good at his job, he would have found out that he was being followed or at least, the person that he was hired to protect.”I sneered at Caleb.
“I am sorry, Luna. I did not mean any disrespect.” He apologized calmly, and I felt bad about my outburst earlier.
“It’s alright. Kiara, you can proceed, please.” I said to Kiara, who cleared her throat and adjusted her baby bump so she was able to sit comfortably.
“Eric. It is the first time he is coming to me after the last time I met him at the front of the hospital. He thought I was pregnant with Rolan and that was why you left.”
“He also said he saw Rolan staring at another woman before she came to meet you. I rushed down here thinking you were hiding something, and you knew the location of Pandora all these months. I met the crazy bitch there and Griffin interrupted our bickering just in time before it got any farther.” Kiara explained.
“Ashley. It was where Caleb said she had your scent on her the strongest. He was also at their palace to see Mrs. Edna.” Rolan explained briefly.
“Why would Eric think such a thing, and how did he find you again?” I asked Kiara, worried that Eric might be trying to use her for his selfish interests.
“What about the Pregnancy? Did he ask questions about that?” Rolan also chipped in at Kiara.
“I told him that I did not want to talk about it, even though it has been clarified that Rolan is not the father but him. He seemed pretty shocked by it.” Kiara answered, and she made that face that she does whenever something did not feel right to her.
“What is it, Kiara? I know that look?” I asked her.
“Well, I can’t seem to figure out what he came for. If he was able to follow Rolan, where was he going to? I am deeply sure it was not an initial plan that he had made beforehand. He only took an opportunity that presented itself.” Kiara said, and I began to understand what she was driving at.
“Are you saying that he must have been out doing something else before stumbling on the king sneaking out of the palace?” Caleb asked.
“Might not have been the palace,” Griffin noted, and Rolan nodded his head in agreement.
“The last time I watched my back was just before I got past the boundary fence, if he followed me, I am sure that it was from that point. Doesn’t make sense, since his pack is so far from ours. How was he able to come in without the security team assigned to his case being alerted?” Rolan asked thoughtfully.
“The Luna just got back home today, can we not bore her about this? She needs all the rest we can give her. I’ll have the chef make dinner. What would you like to have?” Griffin asked me.
“I’ve missed the chef’s cooking so much. Have him make anything special for us. I finally hap…”
“Rolan why the fuck do you have Uncle Joe locked up like a common thief in the dungeon?” Marilyn’s voice cut through the happiness that I had just felt.
“Marilyn, you will watch your tongue and mind the way you act around here until I have time to deal with your bullshit. If you cause trouble for me, I will have you out of here as soon as you come.” Rolan threatened and she fell silent.
“Griffin, if we are going to have dinner, you would need to inform the chef now,” I said and Kiara started laughing, soon we all joined her, leaving Marilyn looking like a fool.
