I hissed again as I missed my way for the sixth time that day trying to locate the witch’s place my mother told me to go to. She had assured me that the witch would grant me whatever wishes I desired.
Rounding a corner, a small cottage house came into full view. It was an old house and had a small ranch behind it and a dog house in front of the house. I looked around for any sign of a dog as the kennel was empty, and I did not really fancy dogs.
I walked carefully between the tomatoes and mushrooms in the garden that was right on the path that led to the front door of the house.
“Why would anyone choose to do this? Has to be real evil to be this mean” I mumbled as I finally left the garden to the door.
I knocked gently, and a croaky old voice answered me from inside. I did not really hear what she said, so I assumed that she had asked me to come in and eased the door open to enter.
Inside the small cottage looked larger, it was unexplainable how there was so much space inside when the outside of the house looked as small and old as it did.
“Who said you could come in?” A young woman’s voice came in from one of the dark corners of the room as it was dimly lit with lanterns.
I squinted my eyes to adjust to the darkness.
“I heard you say I should come in” I answered even though I was unsure of what I heard.
“I did not say, come in. I asked you to wait for me to come. Coming, not come in.” She retorted rudely and I got angry.
“Look, big deal that I misheard what you said and mistook your coming for a come in. Can we move past that now since I am here?”I fired back hotly.
I heard shuffling of feet in the dark corner and footsteps approaching me. I backed towards the door until the figure of a beautiful young girl appeared under the dim light. I was absolutely surprised.
She was so young. Just about my age most probably. How was she a witch and could sound as old as she did when I was outside just now? I could have sworn that there was a dying old woman in the house when I was outside.
“You talk to me like that?” She asked me, her eyes red and blazing with pure fury.
I got scared of her for some weird reason as she walked gingerly toward me, stopped in front, and shoved a finger on my forehead.
“You little power-hungry fool, you talk to me like I am your kind?” She asked me.
The light reflection from the window illuminated her face and I saw her clearly. She had two different colors of eyes and her hair was pure white. Her lips were painted black, and she had a deep brown line that ran along the middle of her face, dividing it into two halves.
I shivered fearfully. She had an aura that compelled you to be scared of her, even against your wish.
“I am sorry. I am sorry” I apologized and held my ears as I heard loud ringing sounds.
Those loud ringing sounds mess with our wolf frequency and can even cripple us temporarily. I feared for my life and regretted my decision to come to a witch’s place.
“Good,” the witch said and the sound stopped. I clutched my ears and fell to the ground, panting breathlessly.
“What do you want?” She asked, not even waiting for me to pull myself together.
“Here, drink this. You should be fine immediately. Get up and stop wasting my time, I don’t have all day for arrogant people like you.” She sneered and handed a small bowl with a potion inside.
I took it reluctantly and hesitated to drink the liquid as I didn’t fully trust the witch.
“I could have killed you when you were driving here if I wanted. Don’t flatter yourself.” She scoffed and hissed.
I drank the liquid angrily. Trying to prove to her that I was fearless, and I wasn’t scared of death too.
She gave me a scalding look and turned away.
“What brings you here?” She asked me again.
I stood up immediately as I felt energized. I put the bowl on the table that had plenty of small bottles and different herbs on it.
“I am sorry about our first impression. Can we start all over?” I apologized, too desperate to leave here without getting what I came for.
“I hold no grudges. You were too rude, and you needed to be taught a lesson. You are not stronger than everybody, there will always be someone else that is stronger.” She answered me.
“Well, I came here because I need someone who is willing to fall in love with me again. I want him to fall hard and deep for me this time around. I don’t want him to be able to say no to me, and he must always want to please me.” I said, then took a deep breath like I had just let out something heavy off my chest.
“You don’t have to feel guilty about wanting to be in control. It is a completely normal feeling. I have something that will help. You just have to mix it with his blood and yours and find a way to make you both drink it at the same time.” She said and stood up to a cupboard that had different bottles arranged on it.
She looked for a few seconds before picking up a bottle and handing it to me.
“This should do. You must also make sure you get him to make love to you right after. Seals it the fastest.” She said and waved me goodbye.
“How much do I owe you?” I asked.
She laughed hysterically.
“I will take what I want whenever I am ready. You can leave now.” She commanded and I left immediately.
As I hurried back to the car, taking care not to step on anything in her garden, I wondered how I was going to get Derrick’s blood and get him to sleep with me.
