One Year Later : The Royal Cemetery
I looked at Charlotte’s grave. It was my first time here since the awful incident.
“Are you happy now” I said with a voice void of emotion,
“Are you feeling peaceful after ruining your life and ours?”
” Why were you so bitter? You have been loved by your parents your entire life, you were their spoiled princess, you could have anything, but you decided to snatch what’s mine, my mate, the one who doesn’t belong to you”. I sniffed
FLASHBACK –
Everything happened so fast.
One second, I was happily dancing with my mate. The other was lying in the pool of his blood.
Charlotte stabbed him
The bitch stabbed him in the heart, then she committed suicide.
This can’t be happening. I shook my head, this is just a nightmare and will be over.
” Ayannn!” I screamed and kneeled beside him.
Terror overwhelmed me as I looked at his very pale face. His eyes drooped, and his shirt was drenched with blood.
“Ayann no, baby hold on, stay with me” a strangled sob escaped my lungs.
” Help Help Help !!” I called for help hysterically.
” Angie, please promise me to stay strong and take care of our babies. The last months were the best thing that ever happened to me. I am blessed to have you again in my life. You made me happy again, you made me a father. Now I can die peacefully.”
I shook my head,
“No, no, no, Shush, everything is going to be alright. You’re not going to die.
Do you hear me?
You will live. We will grow old together baby”
I cried and wrapped my arms around him, pulling him as close as I could.
His breathing became heavy, and he was about to lose consciousness.
“Ayann … . stay with me, please don’t close your eyes” I begged, but he had already passed out.
” Sorry, your highness. Could you move a little bit? I need to check him.”
He checked his pulse, then he gave a pitiful look.
” I’m sorry your highness, I’m afraid his highness is no more.”
“No, no, no, it could be you are lying” a sob forced its way through her constricted throat.
I fell to my knees, holding my ears like I didn’t want to hear anything from him.
I ran to where Rosalie and Amelia were standing.
And I kneeled before then.
” Please help me, I know your secret and what you’re capable of. My mother already told me that you saved her when we were kids and recently, Mason, please don’t let him die. Please, I will give you everything you wish for”
“Angie, please get up will definitely help, but we can’t guarantee the result.”
END OF FLASHBACK-
I felt a hand wrapped around my waist and I knew who it was.
“Ayann”
“Are you done? Could we go home? Aiden is crying for you in the car ”
“Yeah, I was just remembering the horrible things she did to us. How can someone’s love turn toxic, how can you hurt your loved one’s?”
“She was mentally sick, she had an obsessive love disorder, she suffered from depression and other symptoms”
“Do you hate her?”
” I pity her, she lost her life for nothing and left her son and deprived him of a mother’s love and care. She shut down medical assistance and surrendered to her demons. I hope she may find peace now in the hands of the moon goddess”
“I hate her, I can’t forgive her, all she wanted is to ruin my life and everyone around her. She tried to kill Mason, then you, I hope she rots in hell. I just feel sorry for my parents. She remains their daughter no matter what she has done. They’re in agony and miserable” I cried.
” Please don’t cry, it’s not good for our little one . Come on babe, let’s leave this place”
He rubbed my swollen round belly”
Yes, I’m pregnant with our third pup, we are expecting another boy. God help me ! Another alpha male to the family.
He helped me up to my feet, and we headed towards the cars. Mason is trying to calm a fussing Aiden while Aria is sound asleep in the back seat.
I gazed lovingly at my adorable family and thanked the moon goddess for them.
Despite the heartaches and Charlotte’s attempts to break us, we are still strong and united.
I will never forget Rosalie and Amelia’s kindness. I will always be grateful to them for saving my mates. The moon goddess’ precious gift for them kept Ayann and Mason alive.
“Mama” Aiden cried and opened his tiny arms for me to pick him up.
” My poor baby mama is here now, was your daddy mean to you? He made you cry, bad daddy ” I wiped his tears with the back of my hands.
Mason rolled his eyes at me.
” Are you okay baby?” he gave a peck on my lips.
” Never been better”
