She smirked at him, and she clapped her hands, and a big screen showed up with a scene where Gina was lying on the dungeon ground with a pool of blood around her, and her head was separated from her in a brutal way.
I froze in my place. My mouth was wide open, shocked by the scene in front of me.
I felt numb, not believing what I was seeing.
It couldn’t be true, and then fear crippled my heart, and my heart felt heavy thinking about something bad that happened to my pregnant mate.
She showed us another scene of the kingdom’s members’ dead bodies on the floor.
Hundreds of civilians were massacred in the raid.
Children, men, and women were slaughtered. They were attacked and killed in a violent and cruel way.
My heart is beating fast, and my breath is gasping for air, horrified by the massacre they caused.
Then she showed us her men dragging the overwhelmed triplets, and in one second, they snapped their necks.

They dragged me to the cells, threw me, locked the doors, and left.
I sat on the cold dirty floor and rubbed my stomach, tears streaming down my face.
“I’m sorry my babies can’t protect you. I hope your father can save us. I hope so.”
The cell was dark so I crawled into the corner.
I covered my face with my hands and cried out and my throat suddenly blazed in sharp pain.
I sobbed until exhaustion took over.
I closed my eyes to the heaviness of my lashes, and I drifted to sleep.
Later on, I wake up to the sound of the dungeon’s door unlocking.
I lift my head and look at Xander’s siblings walking toward me with a food plate and water.
I growled at them, “What do you fucking want?”
“First, please eat and drink water; you need to stay hydrated; you’re pregnant.”
Why are they fucking nice to me? I got suspicious and wondered about their motives.
“Why are you suddenly acting nice and considering me?”
“Please eat first, and we will explain everything to you,” Henry said.
“And how can I trust you? You may put poison in the food, trying to kill me.”
He took a bite of the food and drank water.
“See, we’re not trying to poison you. You’re safe with us.”
My stomach made a hungry sound, and I felt embarrassed, and they were amused by me.
After I finished eating, they cleared their throats and said, “We are sorry for my parents’ scheming. We are forced into this. We may be spoiled and careless, but we’re not heartless like my parents. We can’t harm innocent people. When we found out about their crimes, they threatened and tortured us to not tell the truth and collaborate with them or they would kill us, so we got along with them to protect ourselves and innocent people.”
“We want you to trust us and tell us where you’re hiding the kids and your friends.”
“How can I trust that you’re deceiving me and want to kill my children and friends?”
“Please trust us; we cannot hurt our nephews. We are not monsters. We didn’t show affection to you and to the kids because of our parents.” .
I looked at them and hesitated. I don’t know if I can trust them; what if they are lying and only want to kill my babies? But they look sincere.
What if they really are telling the truth and want to save the kids and me? Thinking about it, I don’t have another choice; even if those monsters couldn’t find them, they would starve to death.
The girls are pregnant, and Belinda has an infant.
“They’re in the safety room underground.”
They smiled at me and held my hand, reassuring me.
“We will get them and protect them; don’t worry, and we will come back to you soon and sneak you out of here, and think how we will fight those bastards and end them.”
