“Olivia, I am sorry.” I went after her, but she had already left.
shittt!!! I rubbed my face, frustrated with my behavior towards my best friend. I lost control over myself when it came to my mate.
“If he’s your mate, why are you here? Why are you not with him right now?”
“He doesn’t want me; he tried to reject me, but I stopped him by kissing him, then I ran away from him.” Tears of anger and hurt that she’d been holding since he tried rejecting her spilled down her cheeks.
Maria pulled her for a hug; she stroked her hair and kissed her forehead, while tears coursed down her cheeks as well.
“What I’m going to do, Maria, is I want my mate.”I don’t want him to reject me. I masked my pain in front of him and acted like I wasn’t bothered by him, but my heart is aching for him. He hurt me. Mates are supposed to love each other, not ill-treat one another.
“When your own mate doesn’t care about you, it stings a lot.”
The stored tears continued to flow, and the sobs wracked her body, robbing it of the ability to speak and barely allowing a breath to be drawn.

“And what if he doesn’t?” I sniffed.
“Then it’s his loss; you will accept his rejection and move on with your life; you’re so gorgeous, hot, smart, and a princess, every man’s dream,” and we burst out laughing, hugging each other tightly.

I made my way to the bedroom, and I walked in to find someone sleeping peacefully on the bed. I took steps toward her and shook her up.

“Xander, your back; I missed you,” she said, and she extended her arms, trying to reach me for a hug.
“Listen, you bitch, you have an hour to pack your stuff and get the hell out of here.”
“Why!” “Why are you doing this? I’m your mate, for fuck sake.” I let out a sarcastic laugh.
“Your mate, huh? The mate you used magic to get closer to.”.
“What are you saying? I did not do anything like that.”
“Look!” I showed her a clip of her putting some liquid in my coffee this morning and a clip of my mother handing her the magic poison. She cascaded, her face pale and her body shaking with fear.
“Xander is not what you think.”
“I, Alpha King Alexander Jackson Black, reject you, Jessica Richard, as my mate and Luna Queen.”
“Please, Xander, don’t do this. I love you. I’ve loved you since we were teenagers. I loved you so much that I repelled every girl you dated. I should have killed that bad Gina from the start.”
Hearing her talk about hurting my mate, I growled in rage, and I held her by her neck, shocking her.
“Accept my rejection now.”
“I, Jessica Ritchard, accept Alpha King Alexander Jackson’s black rejection as my mate and alpha.”I let her out of my hold, and she fell to the ground, coughing and sobbing hard. Her body is shaking from the enormous pain of the rejection, but I couldn’t care less about her; she’s a psychopath, and if she’s the one behind my kids’ kidnapping, I will kill her with my bear hands.
Now, after I get rid of her, I can be with my love and kids.
