“What are you all standing around for? Hurry and thank Fairy, she rarely helps anyone,” Sanaa said, turning to Harleen and the others.
“Thank you, Miss Fairy!” Harleen and the others were momentarily stunned but then bowed in unison.
“Thank you, Fairy!” Sanaa also smiled.
Fairy glared at Sanaa. “I can help them, but I have one condition: you must stay here as well, or it’s off the table!”
“Isn’t that a bit much?” Sanaa responded.
“Agree or not, it’s up to you!” Fairy said.
“Alright then,” Sanaa pouted.
“That’s settled then!” A glint flashed in Fairy’s eyes.
She then turned to Billy. “Your constitution is too unique for me to help, but I can give you a meeting gift.”
With that, she took out a transparent scroll from her storage ring and handed it to Billy.
“What is this?” Billy examined it and then his eyes widened slightly. “Is this the Heaven Book?”
“Hmm?” Everyone, including Sanaa, was taken aback by Billy’s words.
“You should already have one scroll on you,” Fairy confirmed.
“To be honest, I do have one scroll,” Billy admitted. “Miss Fairy, this gift is too valuable…”
“A grown man shouldn’t be so sentimental. Just take it!” Sanaa interrupted him.
“Take it. It’s of no use to me,” Fairy added.
“Miss Fairy, giving such a precious item like the Heaven Book to the Boss, are there any strings attached?” Stout asked. “I should warn you, the Boss has a family and…”
A few people, including Judge and Soul Chaser, coughed awkwardly, clearly knowing what he was about to say.
“Shut up!” Ivy glared at him before turning to Fairy. “Miss Fairy, please don’t mind him. He often talks nonsense.”
“No problem,” Fairy smiled gently and looked back at Billy.
“The Heaven Book has nine scrolls. It’s said that when combined, they represent the martial essence of this universe. If you can gather all nine and comprehend them fully, you could become the top martial artist under the heavens.”
Billy’s mouth twitched slightly.
“To be honest, I’ve been trying to understand my scroll for half a year now, but I haven’t made any progress.”
“That’s normal,” Fairy replied. “Without knowing the right method, even a lifetime wouldn’t be enough to grasp its essence.”
“Miss Fairy, can you comprehend the Heaven Book?” Ivy asked.
“No,” Fairy shook her head.
“You can’t either?” Stout interjected.
“I’m not omniscient. How could I know everything?” Fairy said.
“Miss Fairy, I’ve heard that Celestial Sage from Celestial Pavilion has studied the Heaven Book extensively. Is that true?” Harleen asked.
“It’s said so, but I don’t know him well enough to confirm. You could try,” Fairy nodded and then looked at Billy. “However, he’s obsessed with the Heaven Book. If he knows you have two scrolls, he might get ideas. So think carefully.”
“Understood,” Billy nodded.
“Semi-Immortal, take them to rest in the courtyard. I’ll take Billy to the back mountain,” Fairy said to Sanaa.
“Alright,” Sanaa nodded.
Billy followed Fairy as they flew towards the back mountain.
Ten minutes later, they landed in a valley and walked into a nearby cave.
Inside the cave, it was unexpectedly spacious and well-lit.
“Miss Fairy, why did you bring me here?” Billy asked as they walked.
“Someone left something for you,” Fairy replied.
“What do you mean?” Billy was puzzled. Who left something for him? What was it?
“Follow me,” Fairy continued walking deeper into the cave.
A few minutes later, they reached a stone door. The surface was smooth like a mirror, with a small protruding stone in the center.
“Drop a drop of your Essence Blood on that stone,” Fairy instructed.
“Alright,” Billy complied.
Soon, the stone door slowly opened, revealing a medium-sized stone chamber inside.
The walls were smooth like mirrors, and apart from a protruding circular stone slab on the floor, it was empty.
“Miss Fairy, what is this?” Billy asked.
“Sit on that stone slab. The Teleportation Array will take you to your destination,” Fairy replied.
“Okay,” Billy nodded and walked inside.
“I’ll come for you in a month,” Fairy said before the stone door closed again.
Billy sat cross-legged on the stone slab. In the next moment, a beam of light descended from above, pulling him up with a strong force.
After an unknown amount of time, Billy found himself in a different world.
This was a war-torn world filled with endless slaughter. Humans and various other beings were engaged in battle everywhere he looked.
The ground was littered with severed limbs and rivers of blood. Screams and roars filled the air, with countless souls wandering in mid-air.
The entire void was collapsing continuously. Numerous unknown creatures emerged from black holes to join the fight.
The scale of the battle was beyond anything Billy had ever seen!
Not only was the void collapsing piece by piece, but many celestial bodies were also exploding. Some spaces even turned into nothingness!
It was an apocalyptic scene!
Soon, a white light descended from the sky, rapidly enveloping the entire void.
The scene before Billy changed again.
In front of him was an idyllic paradise with birds singing and flowers blooming. Small bridges crossed flowing streams, smoke curled up from village chimneys, and children’s laughter echoed occasionally.
“You’ve arrived!”
As Billy stood in awe, an old man suddenly appeared before him as if out of thin air.
The old man seemed to be in his sixties or seventies with white hair and beard. He looked energetic and had an immortal demeanor.
“Are you talking to me?” Billy looked around but saw no one else.
“Who else?” The old man smiled.
“You know me?” Billy was puzzled. “Who are you?”
“It doesn’t matter who I am,” the old man smiled. “What matters is who you are.”
“Who am I?” Billy was even more confused.
