Well, it wouldn’t surprise me that he managed to locate me within just four months. Consider the fact that I’d spent several months in Gianna’s facility where nobody dared to tell him about my location, as they all followed Gianna’s orders. Sorry, Gia, you were mistakenly accused of betraying me and revealing my location to Gio.
“I’m fine if you can’t forgive me right away. I’ll still try to win you back, Millie. Regardless of what happens, I just want you to know that I regret what I said. I have no intention of pursuing the annulment. I don’t want to part with you.”
He gently held my face and rested his forehead against mine. Gio’s eyes were closed now, and I felt the warmth of his hand on my cheek.
“I love you deeply, Millie. I can’t bear to lose you.”
I had a lot to say to Gio. A part of me wanted to accept him wholeheartedly, but another part hesitated because there were things I hadn’t seen in him yet. Words carry tremendous power, like a double-edged sword. They can be a weapon, but they can also hurt you deeply.
Gio’s words and love for me are just like a double-edged sword. His love can give me both positive and negative effects. He can say he loves me deeply, and I believe it because I can feel and see it. But there’s also a fear that in situations where my life is at even the slightest risk, his overwhelming love could make him walk away. I’m afraid that the same pattern will repeat. I’m afraid of accepting him now only for him to not be able to choose and stand by me when it matters most.
I want him to take the risk with me, just as I am so willing to take the risk with him. I know it’s going to be difficult and challenging, but I’m ready to face it because I love him, and I want to commit to this love.
“I miss you so much, Millie. Even though I see you every day since I found you, it feels like I can never get enough. I want to stay beside you, I want to touch you, I want to claim you.”
His hand is exploring my body, sending shivers through me with every touch of his fingers on my skin. The familiar sensation tingles, and I know that if I allow it, I might lose myself completely.
“Don’t you miss me, Millie?” he asks with those intense eyes that seem to be engraving my face into his memory.
Gio lifts my face towards his. He briefly glances at my lips before meeting my gaze. When I remain silent, the expression in his eyes turns cold, as though he has some sinister plan in mind.
“Or have you found someone else to replace me? We’re still married, Millie. You can’t cheat.” His eyes are stormy, and it’s clear that the idea of me being with someone else infuriates him.
“I am not cheating! Even though I’m angry with you and want to show you that you should regret your actions, I would never involve another man!” Especially when I know what he’s capable of.
“That mayor’s son, what’s his name again?”
I bite my lip as he mentions Glan once more.
“Are you falling for that guy?”
“What? No!” I shout back at him. I need to raise my voice because in moments like this, he seems to have selective hearing and only hears what he wants to hear!
“Good,” he said as he calmed down a bit. “Because whoever tries to snatch you from me, I am going to take care of him.”
I swallowed hard at his words.
His fingers delicately traced my curves. He moved his hand to my chest and gently caressed it. I involuntarily tensed up.
“Gio, what do you think you’re doing? We’re still not okay! Our issues are far from resolved. I’m still mad at you! We’re still mad at each other!” I felt like I was trying to convince myself that I was still angry with Gio. I was holding on to some semblance of sanity, and he needed to stop whatever he had in mind, or I might lose it.
“What? We can still have sex and make love even when we’re mad at each other, darling. What’s the harm? I want you, and I know you want me too.”
“You haven’t changed at all!” I pretended to be annoyed with him, even though my body was already burning with his words. He’d been dirty-talking to me since earlier.
“Many things have changed about me, that includes not giving up on us. But my possessiveness towards you, that can’t change for sure.” He emphasized his point. “Because you’re mine, Millie. Mine.”
I stopped his words with a passionate kiss. I attempted to resist him, but I couldn’t. I wanted to grip his shirt, but he wasn’t wearing anything except for the towel lazily hanging around his waist. I’d been too absent-minded to notice he was topless!
“Your mouth and your lips are mine.” His kisses traveled down to my neck and then to my chest. I arched my back, losing myself further when he gently bit the swell of my breast while his hand played with the other. “Your body is mine.”
Shit, I was a goner.
“Your heart and soul are mine, Millie.”
He paused his kisses. When I opened my eyes to see why he’d stopped, I noticed he was already removing my shorts.
Gio slid his hand inside my shorts, and his fingers immediately found my heat.
“This wet and hot pussy is mine.”
I bit my lip, trying to stifle a moan. Even though I was restraining myself, a muffled moan escaped my lips.
He started to finger me, and I found myself clutching him for support. I’d collapse without Gio.
“Gio…,” I couldn’t help but call his name. “Please, stop.”
My mind was urging me to make him stop, but my body had a different plan and was responding otherwise.
“Do you really want me to stop when you’re this wet?” he whispered.
He slipped two fingers inside me, and I arched my back, moaning loudly. Gio’s fingers moved rapidly, driving me wild.
“Gio! Ahh… Gio!” I cried out.
