Change of plans

I didn’t get a reply until I called out for the third time. I heard a groan before the door opened.
“Impossible,” I whispered when the person on the side stepped in. I gaped at him, trying to tell myself I made it all up. “No, it can’t be possible.” I shook my head, wondering if my brain conjured him. “You are…”
“Still alive?” He helped me complete my statement, grinning. “Are you that shocked to see me alive and well? You don’t have to be, though.” He strode towards me, smirking. “We meet again, Bella?”
“I was right,” I whispered, staring at him. “I knew I had met you before. Even though you covered your face, I knew you weren’t a stranger. Your eyes are different.”
He chuckled at that. “Thanks a lot for the compliment, Bella. I appreciate.”
Just like the first time I saw him, weeks ago, I was enamoured by his tone and eyes. Everything about him screamed gorgeous, similar to the werewolves I had seen so far.
“How are you still alive?” I wondered aloud, snapping out of the path my thoughts were heading towards.
“Do you want to know?” He leaned down, so we were nose to nose with each other. “I’m afraid it will cost you something.” He flicked my nose before he righted his stance. “You are still the same as you were when I first took you. Easy to abduct.”
Ignoring his words, I looked around the room, searching for Imelda, but there was no sign of her. I was the only one in the place, with the creepy werewolf that kidnapped me weeks ago, who was supposed to be dead but somehow alive. I didn’t even want to dwell on the possibility that he might be an undead. Yeah. It wasn’t farfetched.
“Looking for Imelda?” He lifted an eyebrow as he folded his arms, sounding amused.
“Where is she?”
He took his time in replying. He wasn’t choosing his words, more like he was dragging it out for fun. “Back in the office. Where else do you think she will be? Your home?”
“Back in the office?” I frowned. “Did she….” I trailed off when I realized what had happened. “You planned this.” It wasn’t a question because I knew the response. It was all planned. From the time the car broke down, to his arrival.
“Bravo. Your little dull brain finally caught up with my plans.” He clapped, grinning, when I shot a dark glare at him. “You know, I thought getting you would be difficult,” he went on to say as he walked around my chair. “I assumed she would have to put up more acts for you to trust her, but it took just a day, Bella. You were quick enough to forgive her just because she confessed to being jealous of you?” He placed his hand under his jaw. “Funny.”
“It was all an act.” Puffing out a breath, I looked up at the ceiling. Blue, Fred, and Chris were right when they warned me about Imelda. I knew it wasn’t time to regret it, not when I ignored their alarms. He was correct. I was just gullible. Hearing her tell me how jealous of me she was made me feel like I had won a secret battle.
I felt proud of myself and my accomplishments and thought I could adopt her as a follower. You know, having someone who was once your enemy turn into a friend wasn’t something just anyone could boast of.
I ignored the warning signs and embraced naivety, only for it to come crashing down on my head. Yeah. I was such a fool. One who needed more than a sound knock on the head to help my thoughts move on the right track.
“You are odd,” he muttered.
“Odd?” I peered up at him, realizing I was still in the empty room with him.
“I thought you would shout or something, but you are just acting chill.” He made it sound like I was supposed to shriek enough to bring the entire house down.
“What do you want me to do? Scream until my voice goes hoarse?” I glared at him. “I already realize what you propose to do with me. It won’t make any sense for me to scream now, would it?”
“What I intend to do to you?” He perked up at that, grinning. “Do you know what I intend to do to you? Do you have an inkling of my plans?”
“What else? You just want to get to my lovers, right? Taking me is just your way of getting them to meet you. If I’m wrong, please correct me.”
I was bored with it all. I knew why he brought me here. It was just to get to Blue and Fred like he did at first. Same old story. Nothing new. I would just have to endure staying with him and pray my boyfriends would discover my absence.
OK, I’m not bagging on that. Not only would it take them time to find me, but they might still be angry at me for running out like I did. Who knows, they might be in a meeting at the moment, not knowing I had been taken.
“You are wrong this time,” he said, interrupting my thoughts. “I didn’t just bring you out here to sit around waiting for them. I have something else in plan for you, darling.” Smirking, he reached towards me and placed his hand under my jaw, raising my face towards him.
I tried to move, to shake my head, so his hand would fall off, but I couldn’t do that. I felt paralysed. I couldn’t feel my body. It was as if I was held down by an invincible force, preventing me from lifting my hands.
“What did you do to me?” I gritted out, snapping my teeth. “Why can’t I freaking move my damned body?!” I yelled at him, trying to fight the invincible influence on me.
“Are you that eager to know?” He leaned down, whispering. “Don’t tell me your lovers haven’t done something like this before? Hold up against your will?” He questioned, sounding like it was the most natural thing for them to do.
“Of course not. They are not beasts!”
“Not beasts?” He chuckled. “You seem to be blinded by who they are. Don’t worry, I will help you see the real men you live with. They are monsters just like me, but more. They are bloodsuckers.” He spat the last word out as he let go. He looked pissed for a moment before his expression returned to normal. “Are you eager to know what I have for you?”
Peering at him, I refused to reply.
“Well, here it is, darling.” He shoved his hand into the pocket of his coat and brought something out.
“A syringe?” I frowned, glaring at him.
“Yeah, do you love it?” He brandished it like a sword, grinning at me. “I made this especially for you, darling. Just for you.”
