We were wrong

He smiled. “I love it when you beg. It makes me want to fuck you harder and rougher.” With one hand holding my hands above my head and his legs keeping my thighs together, he wrapped his right palm around my neck and squeezed it. “I will show you what it means when people talk of hell on Earth. You will beg me to stop, but I won’t, not until I make you realize you can never leave us. At least not alive.”
He pressed my neck, his hold too tight. I almost saw the angels singing as they welcomed me to paradise. Or could it be demons? Having slept with two men, I bet they would take me to hell where I would be tormented by the man downstairs.
“Stop!” I cried, struggling to get him to let him. I had to force that one word out, trying to move my legs so he would let go, but he didn’t.
“This is just the beginning, Bella. Isn’t this what you have always wanted when you asked us to use our toys on you? You love the pain, don’t you? We will give you all. Tie you to the bed and fuck you whenever we wished. Don’t get me wrong, darling.” He leaned down to place a kiss on my left cheek. “We don’t need you dead. We want you crippled, so you won’t walk out on us. You will be with us until we tire of you. That’s the only way you will ever leave.”
He released his hold on my neck, allowing me to gulp in sufficient air. I panted, gasping for breath, only to scream when he tore my gown. He ripped my clothes off of me with his hand.
“Stop!” I shouted when he pressed my legs apart, his fingers going towards my sex. “No!” I screamed at the involuntary intrusion, tears sliding down my eyes at the pain.
I didn’t know it could hurt like this. My first time wasn’t as painful as this.
I clenched my eyes, trying to ride out the pain, knowing it was only the start. If his words meant anything, I would go through something similar to this.
I snapped my eyes open when I felt his hand leave mine before his body did. I looked at him, bewildered, as he turned his back to me.
Wincing in pain, I sat up, looking at him with a mystified look as I tried to gather what remained of my clothes.
“Leave,” he said in a tiny tone. “Fucking leave like you have always wanted!” He yelled out, causing me to flinch.
“Here, have this.” Fred tossed a gown to me. I hadn’t seen this one before. The tag that was still on it showed it was still new.
I would have rejected the gown had it not been for my state. I snatched it from him and got to my feet, putting on the gown. I looked towards Blue, who hadn’t turned to look at me.
“You were right. It’s been two months already. We are not entitled to keep you with us. You can leave,” Blue said, walking towards the stairs. “It’s late. Be careful on your way home. You are now popular, there will be those out to harm you. Be alert.”
I watched him with a frown, wondering what was going on with him. One minute he was acting like a monster who was let out, and another, he was back to the way he had always been, his voice soft.
Fred opened the door, gesturing for me to leave. It was surprising when the same door I tugged on minutes ago opened the moment he twisted the door knob. I thought a a little about it as I returned to the couch I sat on when I arrived and got my things. Giving a last long look, I ran out of the building and made for my car.
I got into it and drove out of the compound. I didn’t stop to think of what happened until I was far from their building. Stopping by the side of the road, I sat in the car, thinking back to what had happened.
After I had rested enough, I started my car and sped back to my house, my heart still beating as if I had run a marathon.

I didn’t hear from them for a week. Everything returned to how it had always been, with me busy with work, and trying to secure as many jobs as I could, to keep my position as the best journalist.
It hadn’t been easy for me. Though I got what I had always wanted, and the position I had always hungered for, it brought more problems for me.
Not only did I have to avoid Imelda, but her underlings, who were always out to have my head. They were constantly investigating how to provoke me. At one time, they tampered with my car. Had it not been for the security guy who saw them, I wouldn’t have known. That day would have probably been my last on Earth, and I wouldn’t even know they were the ones who hurt me.
They were dismissed from the firm when the matter got to the director. He wanted to suspend them, but the higher-ups asked him to sack them. They believed suspending them wouldn’t be enough to keep them off my track. Though I didn’t know who they were, nor had anyone ever met them, including the director, I was grateful to them for helping me out.
All this happened within a week. Ever since I left the mansion, I had been constantly looking behind whenever I left it arrived at work because of the enemies I made with my new position in the office. They were all out of my head, something I didn’t even know would happen when I was scrambling for the position.
“Girl, have you heard?” Chris rushed into my office and plopped down on the chair opposite mine.
Have I told you I got a new office from the promotion? Didn’t I? Forgive me for that. I got a brand-new office, decorated to suit my taste, and a new company car assigned to me. Compliments of the higher-ups.
“Heard what?” I frowned at her, thinking she would mention the latest office gossip as she had always done.
“The owners of the firm are visiting tomorrow!” She shrieked.
