“What if I don’t?” I continued to laugh, knowing that Gio didn’t like that. He turned to face me, and I stopped laughing when I saw the serious expression on his face, like a storm was brewing.
“If you don’t, I’m going to f**k you until you forget about the annulment, and the only thing on your mind is me inside you, and how I’ll make you sore. How you’ll scream and moan my name while you c*m on my c**k. I’ll f**k you so hard, you won’t be able to walk tomorrow.”
At first, I was surprised by what he said, but in the end, I smiled at him seductively.
I approached his ear and whispered, “Go on, Gio. F**k me all you want until I forget that I ever wanted to leave you.” I grabbed his crotch. I could feel his body tensing up, so I moved away.
I bit my lip, then winked at him and walked away. I heard him groaning, so I burst out laughing again.
I had a great time with Gio’s cousins and their partners. I also enjoyed being with the kids. Lucy, Taddeo’s child, was starting to warm up to me, I guess. He was a bit reserved earlier.
Gio was quiet. He went back to his one-word answers. Well, he only became talkative when it was just the two of us.
As Tobias approached him for a piggyback ride, Gio obliged. He hoisted Tobias onto his shoulder, and they walked together along the shore. I couldn’t wipe the smile off my face as I watched Gio with the kids. It seemed like he had no trouble interacting with them. He’s actually good at handling them.
“Let’s take a dip!” Kyrie invited. She removed her cover-up dress and ran toward the sea. I chuckled.
Kyrie had a petite figure, smooth skin, and a sweet face that made her look like a doll.
“Wait!” Chloe yelled. She was another one who you wouldn’t guess had a child. Chloe had a curvier body. I wasn’t surprised; it was evident that Raffaele preferred this type of body in a woman.
“What about you, Millie?” Beatrice asked me as she prepared to go swimming as well. Their kids had their own world, and someone was looking after them.
I reluctantly stood up and joined them. I could still hear Valerio and Raffaele’s whistles when they spotted their spouses frolicking in the water.
As I was about to remove my cover-up kimono, a hand stopped me. I turned to see Gio preventing me from taking off my cover-up.
“Gio?” I called out, puzzled.
“No, Millie,” he said. “You’re not going to take off your cover-up dress, not in front of my cousins.”
Both Beatrice and I were taken aback by his statement. Did he mean he wouldn’t let me go swimming?
“You’re being too much, Gio!” Beatrice protested.
“I said no,” Gio said sternly to Beatrice, although his attention was still on me.
“Beatrice, you go ahead,” I said.
Beatrice shrugged before leaving, leaving Gio and me alone.
“Oh, god! Don’t tell me you’re getting jealous even of your cousins, Gio?” I teased him.
“If you want to swim, Millie…” He reached for something in his belongings and handed it to me. “Wear my shirt.”
“You must be kidding me, Gio!” My eyes widened. I didn’t know if I should laugh at his behavior. “We’re by the beach, and you want me to wear a t-shirt?”
Gio didn’t say anything; he just handed me his t-shirt. In the end, I didn’t argue with him. He was so serious about what he wanted, and I didn’t want to make a big deal out of it.
I couldn’t believe that even his cousins, who were married and had children, were subjects of his jealousy. It seemed like he couldn’t stand anyone getting his attention when he got jealous.
Our vacation on the island came to an end. I became close with Kyrie, Chloe, and Beatrice. It was as if we had known each other for a long time, even though we hadn’t. It was heartwarming to find new friends in the three of them.

I didn’t have to go to the office today, and since Aunt was there, it was okay for me to take a day off. Gio, on the other hand, was the complete opposite. He went to his office first thing on Monday.
“What’s Gio’s favorite food, Alicia?” They had been with Gio for a long time, so I expected that Alicia would know at least some details about his preferences.
“Sir Gio doesn’t have a specific favorite, Ma’am,” she replied. She looked at me and smiled. “But he really enjoys it when Ma’am Cosima cooks for him. Are you planning to cook for Sir Gio?”
I sniffed and nodded. Earlier, I had thought of visiting his office and having lunch together, with me cooking. I could cook, after all.
“Oh, I’m sure anything you cook, Sir will love!” Alicia’s response made me feel better, so I asked for their help to prepare everything I needed.
I prepared several dishes and organized them in containers. When I finished, I had just enough time to shower and get ready to meet Gio.
I couldn’t help but smile as I rode the elevator to Gio’s office floor. I had already informed Heidi about my visit, so I didn’t want to surprise him. Maybe he had other plans. Heidi confirmed that there were no scheduled lunch meetings for Gio today.
Dario accompanied me, and Mariana, whom I had visited yesterday after returning from the island, is doing well. She’ll be discharged from the hospital sometime this week.
Apart from Dario, I had one more companion to replace Mariana while we waited for her return.
I felt a mix of nervousness and excitement, with excitement prevailing.
“Hi, Heidi,” I greeted Gio’s secretary when I arrived outside his office. She stood up and greeted me. “Is Gio in? Did you let him know I’m coming?”
“Yes, Ma’am. Sir is here, but he’s in a meeting, and I haven’t informed him yet…”
Before Heidi could finish, Gio’s office door swung open. I looked in that direction, and my smile vanished when I saw Gio with a beautiful woman.
The woman had long, sleek hair, porcelain-like skin, and an evident air of affluence. She was laughing with Gio, who had a reserved smile.
I didn’t know. I was overtaken by an unusual jealousy when I saw Gio’s smile, even though it wasn’t apparent to others. Why was he smiling while talking to this woman?
“So, let’s discuss it over lunch, Gioseffo.”
My gaze lingered on the woman’s hand as she lightly touched Gio’s arm. I held my breath. I couldn’t believe that hearing another woman call Gio ‘Gioseffo’-besides his sister-would affect me so profoundly.
“Sure.”
“Uhm, Sir.” Heidi approached Gio, looking uneasy, perhaps sensing she was in an awkward situation. I had told her to inform Gio that I was on my way to have lunch with him, but she might not have relayed that immediately, given that Gio was talking to a ‘woman.’ “It’s Ma’am Millie.”
Heidi’s words weren’t necessary, as Gio and I had already made eye contact. He was surprised by my presence but quickly composed himself.
“Millie? What are you doing here?”
I couldn’t speak. I just stared at the woman whose hand was still on Gio’s arm. I raised my gaze and met the woman’s eyes.
