Heaven knows how much Lion now regrets sending Rosalind over. He was well aware of how the men in the business world are-always gaping when they see a woman with even a hint of beauty!
“If they dare do anything to Miss Ruell, I’ll make sure Zenith pays dearly!”
he vowed.
After hanging up the phone, Lion immediately drove to Zenith Corporation. He didn’t even give them a heads-up, wanting to catch them off guard. At that moment, he wished he could shut Zenith down, if only he had the power. Lion furrowed his brows deeply, realizing more than ever the difference between himself and Ulric. If Ulric were here, he could have Zenith closed with just a word.

Meanwhile, the search for Rosalind was in full swing outside.
Yet, she was in her hotel room, waking up near noon with a throbbing headache and body aches from the hangover.
“Hiss-” She tried to prop herself up, her arms trembling.
Rosalind was puzzled.
A hangover, she understood, having drunk the night before. But why the soreness, as if she had been in a fight?
When she finally gathered herself, Rosalind looked around the unfamiliar surroundings. This wasn’t her hotel!
Her heart sank. In that instant, she thought of every possibility, especially when she noticed her clothes had been changed-not the ones she wore the day before.
“Knock, knock-”
Suddenly, there was a knock at the door.
Rosalind quickly adjusted her clothes and shakily stood to open the door.
“Hello, would you like your breakfast now?” asked the hotel staff.
“Where is this? How did I get here?”
The staff smiled, “You were brought here by someone claiming to be your friend.”
“…A man?”
“Yes.”
Rosalind clenched her fists, not daring to think further.
“Oh, right, he asked us to bring your breakfast and said if you wake up and ask, to tell you he is a driver you met in Wayer City.”
“…Wayer City, a driver?”
“Yes.”
Rosalind blinked, vaguely remembering a voice message from him saying he would pick her up.
So, he was the one who brought her here?
She hurried back to get her phone to confirm this, only to find it dead.
“Excuse me, could I borrow a charger?”
“Sure, just a moment,” said the staff as they went to get a charger.
Rosalind finally breathed a sigh of relief-it seemed she hadn’t been harmed by anyone else.
Wait!
But who changed her clothes?
As the staff returned with the charger, Rosalind asked, “The person who claimed to be my friend, was he alone? Were there any women with him?”
“I didn’t see anyone else, your friend was quite handsome.”
“…Oh, thank you.”
Rosalind recalled the driver’s face.
Handsome?
He was not bad-looking at least.
Once her phone was charged and turned on, she was bombarded with missed calls and messages. She wasn’t ready to deal with that yet; she just needed to know what happened last night. So, Rosalind opened WhatsApp, found the driver’s chat, and dialed a voice call-
