Jennifer.
I woke up with a very strong headache, stretching in bed and doing my best to remember the events of last night. My mind was foggy, and as I opened my eyes, I started scanning the unfamiliar room around me.
“Oooh, fucking shit!” I exclaimed, startled. I jumped out of the bed, disoriented, looking around me and glancing down at my clothes – or rather, the lack of them.
“Oh my god?! What happened?! Where’s my dress?!” I shouted, my voice echoing in the room. Panic began to set in as I tried to piece together the hazy memories of the night before.
Suddenly, Tomas appeared, looking dashing in his elegant suit, which only added to my confusion.
I rolled my eyes, cleared my throat, and ran a hand through my hair, trying to compose myself as I stared at him. “Um, um, what happened last night? Why am I undressed like this? Did we… you know… make it?!” I asked, my voice a mix of confusion and embarrassment, rolling my eyes as if that could somehow deflect my shame.
“Hhhh, yes, we made it, Jennifer. Are you kidding? You were so drunk!” Tomas replied, laughing lightly. “I lifted you up to your room, but you kept insisting I come to mine. Then you took off your dress- And yes, we made it…”
I blinked once, processing his words. “What?!” I asked, my shock evident.
“Are you mad, Jennifer? Sure not! What’s the joy of making love to you while you were drunk?!” Tomas shot back, raising an eyebrow, clearly amused.
“Then why am I here in your room and in your bed?” I challenged, staring into his eyes, searching for the truth.
“Well, you were so drunk!” he reiterated, a hint of amusement still in his voice.
“Yes, I know that, Tomas! But then what?” I huffed, feeling both frustrated and embarrassed.
He trailed off slowly, teasing me, “Then I lifted you up to your room and covered you with a blanket, but you pulled my hand and asked me not to leave you. So, I carried you to sleep in my bed to keep my eyes on you. The maid changed your clothes, that’s all, Jennifer!”
“Then you slept next to me in the same bed?!” I asked incredulously, trying to wrap my head around the situation.
“Yes, Jennifer, but we didn’t do anything. I swear to God!” he informed me in a sweet voice, attempting to reassure me.
“Okay…” I muttered, turning my head down, feeling the heat of embarrassment wash over me as I looked at my clothes scattered around.
“Jennifer, if you are still tired from last night, you can stay at home today. You don’t have to come with me to the meeting,” Tomas suggested, his tone softening.
I opened my eyes wide, suddenly remembering. I jumped out of bed, standing to look at the wall clock – my eyes widened in shock as I realized the time. I put my hands over my cheeks in disbelief.
“Oh my god, the meeting! Maya! How did I forget something like that?!” I murmured, scolding myself as I scrambled to gather my thoughts.
Tomas stepped closer, adjusting his tie, looking deeply into my eyes. “It’s okay, Jennifer, you don’t have to-”
I cut him off. “No, I’m coming with you. Just give me a few minutes, please…” I insisted, and I hurriedly opened the door, only to rush back to him, pushing his hands away from his tie.
Pulling him close, I stood on tiptoes and adjusted his tie perfectly. “Now this is perfect, Tomas…” I said with a playful grin, giving him an appreciative look.
I dashed to my room, opening the door and calling for the maids. “Please come and help me now!”
One of them approached my room and knocked on the door. “Miss Jennifer?”
“Yes, come in, please! I don’t have much time…” I commanded the maid, urgency in my voice.
She entered the room, her arms neatly at her sides, looking at me politely. “Yes, Miss Jennifer, what can I do for you?” she asked, her tone respectful.
“Oh please, help me take a quick shower, and please open my closet and get me the white short dress and the white high-heeled shoes,” I requested, my tone firm but polite.
I gestured to her again. “And don’t forget the towels to dry my body, please,” I added, sticking my head between the washroom door while standing there naked.
I turned the water on! “Oh, I have to make this a fast shower! There’s not much time for a long soak, I guess… but let’s make it perfect too. I have to compete with this horrible, beautiful Maya!” I muttered to myself, determination fueling my thoughts.
The water cascaded over my body, a shockingly cold sensation that felt torturous. I quickly came out, slathering some vanilla lotion over my skin. I wanted my scent to be perfect, not just my look!
I called for the maid again. “Hey, could you please hand me a towel?”
“Yes, Miss Jennifer, here you go,” she replied, handing it to me as I opened the door. She stood outside the washroom, waiting patiently.
“Everything is ready for you and Mr. Tomas, and Mr. Carl is waiting for you downstairs too,” the maid informed me, her demeanor professional.
I emerged from the washroom, slipped on the sexy white dress, and completed the look with the high-heeled shoes. I brushed my blonde hair, letting it flow freely down my back. I took a deep breath, gazing out the window at the garden.
“Wow, this is gorgeous! I will definitely compete with you, Maya!” I told myself, a fierce determination igniting within me.
Turning back, I took one last look in the mirror, questioning myself. “Why do I care to compete with her this much?!”
With a newfound resolve, I opened my bedroom door and walked downstairs. As I descended the stairs, I caught sight of Tomas and Mr. Carl in conversation.
Once they noticed me, Tomas seemed to stop breathing, his eyes fixed on me as I walked closer.
I beamed at him, winking playfully. “Can I call Mr. Carl ‘father’?” I asked Tomas, teasingly.
He raised his eyebrows in surprise. “Yes, you can, Jennifer…”
I jumped with joy, laughter bubbling up. I covered my mouth with my right hand, rolling my eyes. “Sorry, Tomas…” I managed, still giggling.
He stared at me, shaking his head in disbelief. “Oh God – what a girl!” Tomas murmured, a hint of admiration in his voice.
I approached Mr. Carl, laughing as I put my hand on his shoulder and kissed his cheek. “Good morning, father.”
“Good morning, sweetheart,” Mr. Carl replied, a smile of genuine warmth spreading across his face.
“Oh, not a cheek kiss please! I didn’t give you permission for this, Jennifer,” Tomas said, wide-eyed as he looked from one side to the other. He huffed, pretending to be annoyed.
“Now let’s go to meet this… well, let’s say ‘bitch’!” I said to Tomas confidently, feeling empowered.
He turned his head toward me, smirking. “What?! You are a dangerous woman, Jennifer!”
“Yes! It’s my war now! I will never lose, Mr. Tomas – um, I mean my sweet fiance!” I declared, winking at him.
I extended my hand for him to take. Gazing into his eyes, I added, “I guess we have to move on like a real happy engaged couple, Mr. Tomas…”
He peered deeply into my eyes, narrowing them slightly. “What do you mean, Jennifer?”
I pulled him closer to me by the waist, standing on my tiptoes to bridge the height difference. He was tall, muscular, and had a sun-kissed complexion that made my heart race.
“Wrap your arms around my waist like this, Tomas,” I instructed him, reveling in the closeness.
Tomas looked at me, mouth slightly agape. “Don’t play with me, Jennifer…” he said, leaning closer to my neck. “Oh Jennifer, you smell like vanilla… I like this scent.”
His breath against my skin sent shivers down my spine, making me melt under his touches.
I stepped back, breaking the moment. “Now we should go, Tomas,” I informed him, trying to regain my composure.
“Are you ready, Mr. Carl, for the war?” I asked, glancing over at Mr. Carl with a playful grin.
He nodded enthusiastically, a wide smile on his face. “Sure, my sweetheart…”
“Then let’s go,” I declared, leading the way.
We walked towards the car, settling into the back seat together, very close to each other. I shifted to be even closer this time, feeling the heat radiating between us.
Tomas looked at me, grinning. “What?” he asked, his curiosity piqued.
I leaned in closer, resting my left leg against him, locking my gaze with his. “What, baby? Am I just your fake fiance? Do you remember?” I asked, my lips curling seductively.
He raised an eyebrow, leaning in closer to my lips. “So, you’re acting now, Jennifer? Because no one is around to see us, so you don’t have to act!” Tomas teased.
“I have to act most of the time to get used to this! I don’t want to forget, Tomas!” I confessed. I knew I was lying, and he seemed to sense it, but I didn’t have the courage to admit that I missed his lips from last night and that I was falling for him. I just wanted to feel closer to him.
As I pressed my hand against his chest, I inhaled deeply, savoring his scent.
He pushed me away, a mix of frustration and desire in his eyes. “Jennifer, my dick is getting harder, aroused actually! So please stay away from me… we don’t want to start the meeting like we were making love in the limo!” Tomas informed me, his voice a mix of confusion and annoyance.
But secretly, I was enjoying this playful banter, reveling in the tension between us. I rolled my eyes, looking back at him with a smirk.
“Then we should appear like this, Tomas! This is a very good idea!” I said, my tone flirtatious as the air thickened with unspoken desires.
He stared at me, bewildered. “What do you mean?”
Before he could finish, I leaned in, planting a kiss on his cheek and trailing my lips down to his neck, wrapping my arms around him.
I planted a kiss on his tie, leaving a mark of my lip gloss on him.
He hugged me tightly, leaning in to kiss my lips, but I playfully pushed him away. “This is enough for the show, Tomas!” I teased, relishing the playful game we were engaged in.
“But?!” he protested, his eyes wide with surprise.
“Now, we have arrived, Tomas. Let’s go,” I said, pulling him from his jacket as we prepared to step out.
The driver opened the door for Tomas and approached my side, but I pointed for him to stop, signaling Tomas to open my door while looking deep into his eyes, shaking my head.
He gave me a grin, revealing his teeth, then opened the door for me, allowing me to step out first.
I wrapped my arms around his waist, and he mirrored my gesture, walking closely together, our movements in sync – my right leg stepping with his right leg.
Everyone around the company turned to look at us, and Mr. Carl followed closely behind with the guards.
The company manager hurried toward us, “Mr. Tomas, the partners are waiting in the meeting room-”
Tomas looked at me, searching for my readiness. “Are you ready, honey?” he asked, his tone serious yet playful.
I met his gaze, confidence radiating from me. “Yes, babe, I’m so ready…” I replied, nodding firmly.
I walked with determination, side by side with Tomas, as the manager opened the door to the meeting room. Mr. Carl entered first, followed closely by us.
When I stepped inside, dammit! Maya was standing there, exuding confidence, smiling. But as soon as she spotted me next to Tomas, her expression changed, morphing into shock and disbelief.
She stood frozen, mouth agape, as I approached her with a confident stride.
“Hello, I’m Tomas Charl’s fiancee, and soon I will be Mrs. Tomas Charl. Nice to meet you,” I said, my voice dripping with sweetness as I teased her with a wide smile.
She stared at me, her smile strained, and her eyes widened in shock, mirroring Tomas’s reaction.
“Um, nice to meet you, miss…” Maya managed, her voice tinged with disdain.
“I’m Jennifer Tomas Charl, miss Maya. Don’t forget this name, please,” I informed her, deliberately stressing each word as I gently moved my fingers to Tomas’ neck, showcasing my diamond ring.
“Oh, I’m sorry. And by the way, I’m taking care of his business too. You could say I’m like his partner at home and at work,” I continued, inching closer to Tomas, my confidence unwavering.
“You mean you and Mr. Tomas are living together?!” Maya asked, her voice incredulous.
“Yes, of course! He is my baby. I told you, we live together and work together, Maya,” I declared, the words flowing out smoothly as I leaned into Tomas, enjoying the moment.
Maya swallowed hard, her nervousness palpable.
