Skye’S POV.
“Hi!” Tania whispers as she steps into my bedroom. After our meeting with Jovan this afternoon, we are supposed to come over here and talk into private but Alora summoned her and she’s only retiring from the day now.
Sometimes, I truly commend Tania for her patience, because the last thing I can do is serve another she-wolf, talk less of a she-wolf I hate with all my heart.
A she-wolf like Alora.
“You are here.” I follow her to my bed. We both sit down and she takes off the jacket she has on and throws it on the bed, sighing heavily. “How was your day?”
“What do you think?”
“Hectic!”
“Exactly.” She groans. “Tania could you help get my phone from the living room, Tania, I need you to… Tania, did you already tell the cook to bla bla bla… God I hate that girl!’ She groaned in frustration.
I understand her.
I would have died of frustration if I were in her shoes.
“I’m so sorry you have to go through all that. But not to worry, it’s just a matter of time before you stop serving that low life.”
“I know. I’m very much aware of that and I’m patiently waiting for that time to come.” She faces me fully. “What did you want to tell me?” I clear my throat and train my eyes on her.
“Last time you said Halle hates Alora as well, right?”
“Yes, I did.” She nods with creased brows.
“Good. You see, after the plan we mapped out earlier today, I kept thinking about Halle and the role she could play in it. If we get her involved, it would be a lot easier to pull it off without any complications!” I say enthusiastically. Her brows are still creased. She’s giving me a queer look and it feels bizarre.
“You want me to tell Halle about our plan to kill Alora?” I eagerly nod my head.
She gets it.
She always gets it!
Tania is so smart.
“Yes!” I’m almost flying. “Tell her so she can help us out.”
“I…” she nervously scratches the back of her neck. The excitement in her eyes has faded and she looks unsure about what I just said. “I don’t think that’d be a great idea.” I pause, look at her carefully and slightly back away.
“Why do you say so?” I ask calmly.
“Skye, hating someone, disliking someone is different from wanting to kill that person. I don’t know if you understand what I mean?” I shake my head. She lets out a heavy sigh and takes my hand in hers. “What I’m trying to say is that Halle might hate Alora, but she’s not down to kill her and if news like this reaches her ears and she’s not on the same page with us, she might rat us out and things will definitely get very messy for us.” She explains very seriously and her words make a lot of sense.
It will truly be the end for us if we tell Halle about our plan and she retaliates against us.
But then, we don’t know that and we will never know unless we find out and the only way to find out is by asking her.
“Tania. Trust me I understand where you are coming from, but then again, we won’t know until we find out ourselves. Talk to Halle, try to ask her in a cunning way and hear what she has to say. If she hates Alora, then she won’t have a problem with getting rid of her.” I insist. Tania doesn’t look too convinced, but her eyes tell me she’s willing to try out what I’m suggesting.
I shift closer to her, pouting and flashing her my best puppy eyes.
“You are a very smart girl and I know you can do this. I trust you!” I try to encourage her, but she keeps shaking her head in denial.
“It’s too risky Skye. This is murder we are talking about. Murder of not juts anyone, but the Supreme Luna of the entire werewolf world. We will be buried alive if news of our plans to kill her reaches the wrongs ears.”
“That’s why I’m trying to tell you that Halle is not the wrong ear!”
“How are you so sure about that?”
“I just know! And you can find out for yourself.”
“You won’t stop, will you?” She’s finally giving in.
“I just think having Halle on our team will do us so much good. She snot only smart, but powerful. We need her.”
“Fine!” She finally surrenders. “I’m going to talk to her after training tomorrow, but mind you, if anything goes wrong and I get killed, my ghost will come. back to haunt you all the days of your life!” She swears firmly and rises to her feet. I do the same, smiling from molar to molar.
“Trust me, it’s going to work out perfectly. Just wait and see!” I lie smoothly.
I’m not the least sure about what I’m saying.
Tania is right. Things will go south if Halle happens to not share the same interest in getting rid of Alora after Tania tells her about our plans, but we never know.
I’m willing to take the risk.
“I hope so. I’m going to talk to Halle tomorrow and see how it goes. For now, I have to go back to bed so I can report early at Alpha Jayce’s chambers tomorrow morning. Goodnight.”
“Goodnight Love.” I hug and kiss her. I’m still smiling several moments after she exits my bedroom.
It’s going to work.
I can feel in my bones that this plan of ours is going to work!

Halle’S POV.
“Halle!” A voice calls and I don’t need to look up to know it’s Tania who juts called my name. I pretend I didn’t hear and roll my eyes hard as I ride on with packing my stuff into my bag. I hate that I have to pretend to like her. “Hey.” She calls as she stops I front of me. I look at her and force a smile.
“I thought you left with Alora.” She scrunches her nose and rolls her eyes.
“Nope. I told her I forgot something and that she could go ahead. She left already.”
“I see.” I sling my backpack over my shoulders and flash her an impatient look.
I don’t like being in her presence.
I wish I could tell her that.
“Uh… do you have a minute to spare? There’s something very important I would love to discuss with you.”
Interesting!
“Uh… yeah… of course. What’s up.”
“How about we sit down?”
“Sure.” We both sit on a nearby bench and my eyes are glued on her. I can’t wait to hear what she has to say. I feel like it’s pretty serious.
“Can I ask you a question?” She asks calmly. I nod In agreement.
“Yeah.”
“How much do you hate Alora?” I squint.
“I… I don’t think I understand your question.”
“Do you hate Alora to the extent where you won’t mind if she died?” She’s heading somewhere.
I’m about to get some very vital information from this girl. I can feel it.
I quickly nod in agreement.
“Yes. I think so. She’s so annoying and most times I wish she wouldn’t show up for training because she died in her sleep. or something.” I lie, trying my best to keep my most neutral face. She flashes me a wide grin.
“What would you do if I were to tell you I’m working with people who can make that happen?” Her question jars in my ears like loud music.
I flash her a genuinely shocked expression and she nods, smiling.
Reed was right.
This bitch is working with people who are planning to kill both Alora and Alpha Jayce.
Unbelievable!
“Do you?” I pretend to be amused. She nods with an enthusiastic smile on her face.
“Yes, I do! And right now, we have a percent plan on motion…”
She proceeds to tell me all about their plan which has to take place on Monday whereby Alora will be attacked in the rest room at the mall and I swear it takes me all my self control to stop myself from beating this Tania up to pulp.
I keep flashing her fake smiles until we separate and the first thing that comes to mind once I’m left alone is for me to report everything I know about to Reed.
I’ve finally had an excuse to use to go over and see him.
