Andre’s POV
I was in my office attending to some documents when I heard a knock at the door.
It was Doran. I looked up at him, and he came in, gently closing the door behind him.
I sighed, dropped my pen, and relaxed into my seat as he took his seat.
“Working late again?” He asked with a tease in his voice.
“Well, someone has to keep this pack running, and I’m not going to leave important documents for Nicole to play with.”
He chuckled and leaned in.
“You should really be resting. At this rate, you are going to get grey hair, and you won’t be able to keep up with your young lover. You should be taking care of yourself more.”
I smirked, and my mind drifted towards Olivia, whom I hadn’t seen in a long while. I missed her scent and welcoming softness. I craved her kisses and caresses and missed her desirous moans in my ears.
I sighed. I have been so caught up with work that I haven’t made time to see her. I bet she was really upset and missing me just as much.
I made a mental note to go to her room and see her once I was done. No excuses.
“So, what brings you here?” I asked Doran. “I doubt you came to give me advice about taking care of myself.”
Doran smiled, pulled out Olivia’s phone from his pocket, and placed it on the table along with a report.
“I’ve analysed the phone, and we have both good news and bad news.”
I looked at him sceptically and sighed.
“Okay, what’s the good news?”
“Well, the good news is that we know that the person who used the phone is in our pack. Calls, messages and transactions made with the number all indicate that the person is from this pack.”
I was quite confused.
“And the bad news is?”
“The phone is no longer in use, and we can’t track the owner. It’s taken a lot of time to break down the encryption on the message; all the calls are vague and are with unknown persons. We couldn’t find this person’s identity. Everything has been wiped clean.”
I shook my head and was disappointed. What was I going to tell Olivia?
Her terrified face was etched in my mind. She was so scared that she had to sleep with me. I could still hear soft, muffled whimpers when she had snuggled into my chest.
“I really need to know who is doing all this, Doran. Please try harder, and if you need more resources, be sure to let me know. I don’t want Olivia living in fear.”
Doran shook his head slowly and smiled.
“Your eyes become softer every time you say her name. You are hooked on her. I never thought that I would ever see you this helplessly in love.”
I scoffed at his jab.
“You know I have been waiting for her for so long. Why won’t I be hooked on her.”
Doran chuckled, “I’m happy for you, Andre. I really am. Alright, I will be leaving, and we will try our best to track the message.”
I thanked Doran, and he left. I continued to work, and in a few minutes, I was done. I wasted no time in leaving and going to find my little kitten in her room. I had missed her so much.
I got to her room and opened the door slowly without knocking, hoping to catch her pleasuring herself with my name on her lips like the very first day. However, the room was empty; there was no one there.
I smiled to myself and walked out. My kitten was a master of hide and seek. I’ll probably see her at breakfast.
I headed to my room to freshen up, and all I could think about was her.
As the cool water sprayed me, I could feel her body heating me up. I had a bath, and every time I grazed my cock, I would groan and wish they were her lips, warming my wet tip.
Fuck. I needed her.
I got dressed and headed downstairs for breakfast. My heart was full of hopes of seeing her beautiful face waiting for me at the table.
Even if she were mad at me, she would still look good.
She never had to make an effort to take my breath away. Every time.
I got to the table, and to my surprise, it was empty; no one was there.
I took my seat and began to eat, waiting for my kitten to come, but after a few minutes, I was still eating alone.
I called a maid, and she appeared before me almost instantly.
“Where is Olivia?”
The maid curtsied and spoke.
“Olivia hasn’t come for breakfast in the last two days. She seems to be very busy in school and has been leaving quite early.”
I was even more puzzled. Why did she need to go to school that early?
I dismissed the maid and called Pierre. The line connected almost instantly, and his cool voice was heard on the other end.
“Good morning, Alpha Andre.”
“Have you seen Olivia today?”
“Yes, I have. She had been leaving for school unusually early, and I’d dropped her off for the past two days. Today was no different.”
I frowned, feeling uneasy at this development.
“Did she tell you what she was doing in school? Did you ask?”
“No, I didn’t. I just assumed that she had some important school work and she needed to be early for it.”
“It’s alright. I’ll talk to her in the evening.”
The line went dead, and with it came an uneasy feeling in my chest. What is happening to my kitten? She was making me worry. She had never been this distant and had never had a reason to be in school so early.
I whipped out my phone and texted her.
“Are you mad at Daddy?”
