Olivia’s POV
I spent the rest of the day in school, worried and paranoid. Jaxon couldn’t understand my behaviour, so I refused to explain it.
I tried my best to focus, but my head was cloudy and hazy. I couldn’t explain the relief I felt when the school bell rang, and I went to the parking lot to see Pierre waiting for me.
I glanced around at the cars suspiciously before I entered the car with Pierre. I was still convinced that someone was watching me, and I still couldn’t rest.
“How was your day, Miss Olivia?”
I had zoned out for a bit but pulled myself back to reality just in time to answer his question.
“Uhmm… Yeah… school was good.”
I felt my pocket and heard the note crinkle. I took it out and read it again. Maybe I should tell Andre about it. He would know what to do.
I stared at it again and bit my lower lip in worry.
No. There was no need to bother him about it again. He said he would trace the text on my phone and find out who sent it. There was no need to make a big deal of it. I just had to relax and let him sort it out.
I took a deep breath and slid the note back into my pocket. I was going to be perfectly fine.
It didn’t take long, and we soon pulled up in front of the mansion. I got out, and a maid approached me just as I was about to head upstairs.
“Is Alpha Andre at home?”
“Good afternoon, Miss Olivia. Alpha Andre left early today, and I have no idea when he will be back. ”
I felt my heart shatter, and I lowered my head.
“Okay, thank you.”
I sighed sadly and headed up to my room. I closed the door. I was worried, and my fears began to resurface. I couldn’t take this anymore.
I hurried to my closet, grabbed my bag, and began to throw things into the bag.
I have to get out of there.
I stopped and unpacked the bag.
What was I even doing? What was I thinking? I couldn’t leave. Was I crazy? I couldn’t just leave Andre. What was he going to say? He was going to be heartbroken.
I left the bag on the bed and finally decided to put it away. I wouldn’t let my thoughts be filled with the idea of running away. It wasn’t going to help me at all.
Yet, everything bothered me. I would always turn to the door, and I would stop every now and then and look out of the window. It always felt that someone was watching me every single second. I couldn’t breathe without feeling like every breath I drew into my lungs was monitored.
I pulled the note out of my pocket again, placed it on the bed and stared at it.
I stared at the handwriting, hoping that maybe I could recognise it, but nothing came to mind. I didn’t know enough people here. Even if I did, how could I pick their handwriting so easily?
My mind was hazy. I couldn’t think straight.
I sat on my bed and rested my head in my hands. I was on the brink of tears. I had never felt this scared or nervous in my entire life.
First, it was my mother making a big announcement about me at the party, and now this strange person was tailing me and watching my every move.
I soon heard a soft knock at my door, and I jumped up in fright, nearly falling off my bed.
The door opened, and Andre stood at it.
I relaxed and forced a smile on my face. I was sincerely happy to see him, but I was still worried.
“Well, there’s my kitten.”
He walked up to me and handed me my phone, and I looked at him hopefully.
“Did they find anything? Do they know who sent me the text?”
He shook his head slowly.
“Not yet, kitten. It will take a while, but I promise you that we will get to the bottom of this. We are still waiting for the report.”
I looked away in worry and felt his hands graze my cheek and gently rub my head.
“I understand you are worried, but you don’t have to be. Everything is going to be alright.”
I smiled weakly, and he warmed my lips with a kiss.
He pulled away and rubbed my cheek with his thumb.
“In the meantime, I have something else planned, and it will take your mind off all of this.”
I looked at him in confusion and with hope. My mind was still bugging me, and I still wanted to tell him about the note, but I wanted him to finish up.
“Well, what do you have planned?” I asked, as foxily as I could.
“I planned a little dinner, and I think you will enjoy it.”
I felt a little downcast. This was definitely not the best time to bring up the notes; I didn’t want to ruin the mood and give Andre something more to worry about.
“Well, how about we get the dinner started? Then maybe we could have a little us time.”
I tried my best to occupy my mind with happy thoughts about Andre, and when I mentioned spending time with him, he winked and kissed my forehead.
“I think I like the sound of that.”
We both had it upstairs to his room and as soon as we opened the door, my body jerked in shock. There was someone else in the room!
Andre’s arms were firmly around my waist, and I tried my best to make him remove them, but he held me even tighter.
“Andre,” I whispered under my breath in panic.
I looked at him, and he had a smile on his face.
“Don’t worry, Doran can know.”
Doran stood up and walked up to us. His eyes were wide open, and he stared at me in obvious shock.
“You have to be fucking kidding me.”
