“I need you to sign a nuptial agreement that you’ll leave this house with nothing if you are ever caught cheating on my daughter again even though it isn’t on purpose.” Hector said as he tapped on the piece of paper.
Andrew stared at the paper and glanced briefly at its contents but he was able to understand what was in it by just reading some of the important lines.
If he signed the nuptial agreement, his days in this house would be numbered. He already had a thing going on with Amara, Hector’s wife and now, Hector and Catherine thinks he’s a cheat.
All eyes would be on him, every little move he makes would be watched by them and that could destroy everything he had worked so hard to build over the years.
But if he doesn’t sign it, he will have to leave Catherine and the outcome would still be the same. At that moment, he was in a dilemma.
Noticing his reaction, Hector couldn’t help but smile. “I guess you don’t like my conditions.” He muttered and was about to retrieve the file when Andrew stopped him.
“Wait!!” He said as he placed his hand on the paper.
“I… I’ll sign it.” He said like he was being forced. Hector’s smile increased amd he placed a pen in front of him.
“Be quick about it, I don’t have all day.” He urged as he waited for Andrew to sign on the paper.
Beads of sweat formed on Andrew’s forehead as he lifted the pen. He tried to stall time under the guise of reading the file’s contents but Hector’s hard gaze was enough for him to stop stalling. He gulped in harshly and shakily put in his signature in the places they were meant to be.
“You made a good choice Andrew.” Hector said as he collected the file and put them in an envelope.
“I’ll do anything to be with Catherine sir.” Andrew croaked out like his throat was on fire.
“I see that now. I’m done with you so you can leave.” Hector said as he motioned towards the door.
Andrew stood up with shaky legs and left Hector’s study. When he got out, the anxiety he had been feeling took a toll on him so he lost his balance and fell down flat on the floor.
To him, that agreement made him feel like he was already done for. All his hard work over the years were all for nothing. How could he make such a mistake??
Everything was going smoothly. The plan was already perfect but he ruined it by himself. Why did he have to enter the room at that time?? He thought that Catherine would already be there.
He wanted to witness te drama first hand and he wanted to be the one to expose them. There’s nothing sweeter than a husband catching his wife having an affair with a woman in public. He never knew it would blow up on him this way.
“Why??? Why??? Why??” He wondered as he ruffled his hair in frustration.
With the way he was acting, one would easily mistake him as someone with mental issues but thankfully, he was behind closed doors. Every worker that passed and saw him acting that way just ignored him.
They knew better than to acknowledge his presence. Even though he was just the husband to Catherine, he never failed to bully them anytime he got the chance so they always made sure not to get in his way especially in times like this.
I came out of my hiding spot after Andrew had left. After I had washed up, I suddenly recalled that I had planned to take dad for a check up so I wanted to tell him but I couldn’t find him in his room.
I figured he would be in his study so I decided to check. I was about to enter when I heard voices from within. It seemed like dad was busy so I wanted to leave and come back later but I heard my name being called.
It seemed like I was the topic of the discussion so I got really curious and decided to eavesdrop. I overheard everything dad discussed with Andrew and I was really surprised.
I never thought that dad would take this type of precaution. It made me happy that dad wasn’t entirely controlled by Amara. Now that Andrew has signed the papers, his days in this house are already numbered.
I still have evidence that he and Amara are sleeping together since I connected all the cameras in the mansion to my laptop and I made sure to save all the videos.
That would be a very fast and easy way to destroy the both of them but I don’t want to do it. I wanted them to feel the pain I felt in my past life. I wanted to break them physically and mentally like they did to me.
I wanted them to feel the pain of loosing everything they loved slowly and they wouldn’t be able to do anything about it. If I show dad the videos, it would only end at them being thrown out of the house and such type of judgement is too good for demons like them.
I don’t want them to take the easy way out so I plan to do it more strategically. I plan to expose them slowly while playing dumb to everything they plan to do to me.
Since I went back in time, I know all of the move the plan to make in the next three years. I was able to stop the first one which was supposed to happen today so I’m sure the ones to come would also end up in favor for me.
I just need to sit and reminisce over everything that has happened in the past and I’ll find a way to stop them. Tomorrow, I’ll make sure to take dad for the check up. I can’t have any mistakes.
I’m sure that after today, Amara and Andrew won’t relent on their attacks. They are sure going to hit harder but I’ll be waiting for them. With that thought in mind, I went back into my room.
The moment I opened the door, I was greeted by a pale looking Andrew. I fought so hard to laugh out at how funny he looked right now.
“What are you doing here??” I asked as I walked further into the room.
“Why would you ask that question? This is our room.” He answered.
“Not anymore. Go find some other place to sleep.” I said in a angry tone.
“Catherine..” He called and wanted to touch me but I moved away. I noticed he looked really mad when I did that but he couldn’t say anything. All he could do was try to hide it with an apologetic look.
“I already explained everything to you. I would never cheat on you. I was drugged by that bitch.” He said but I already had a conclusion in my mind.
“Shut the door when you’re ready to leave.” I said in a dismissive manner and was about to go into my closet when he suddenly pulled me back harshly.
“What the hell is wrong with you?? Why don’t you want to listen to what I have to say??” He screamed out angrily.
“Because what you have to say can’t change the fact that you cheated on me!!” I screamed back at him with equal fury.
“How many times do I have to explain that I didn’t do it on purpose??”
“Whether you did it on purpose or not doesn’t matter!! I caught you fucking another woman so don’t expect me to forget it so soon!! Would you forgive this easily if I was the one in that position??” I asked and he went mute immediately.
“I don’t want to exchange words with you this night. I’m already exhausted. There are several rooms in this mansion, go find your self one!!” I screamed at him and pulled my hands from his before walking into the closet and locking myself in.
After Catherine had left, Amara who had been eavesdropping from the outside suddenly pushed the door open.
“Come with me!!” She ordered Andrew before she left.
Andrew sighed in both frustration and fatigue before he followed her. She entered an empty room and locked the door after Andrew had walked in.
“I’m so sorry for wh…. PHAAHHHH!!!” Andrew wasn’t able to finish his sentence when Amara suddenly hit his face with so much force that it made his face whip to the other side. He almost lost his balance but he was quick to steady himself.
“What was that for??” He said as he rubbed his cheek in shock.
“You’ve ruined everything!!!”
