*Andrea*
It had been a few weeks since I’d gotten back from the hospital. Nora was dead, Lucas was recovering and Austin and I had gotten some semblance of peace back in our lives. I’d managed to convince Alejandro to have a talk with Williams and it was the most difficult thing I had ever done. Alejandro had refused to speak about him for days, always asking me to please change the topic whenever I brought him up.
And I had. Every time.
As much as I had wanted them to make peace, my loyalty lies with Alejandro and I had never wanted to force him to do something he wasn’t ready for. Fortunately after a few more days, he’d loosened up and we’d had the conversation. He’d kissed my head, letting me know he would never go back to being buddies with him but he was willing to make peace just for Lucas. They’d met at a restaurant a few days later.
Alejandro had not wanted him in the house.
Alejandro had given me a summary of how the talk had went. He’d made Williams understand that they could be civil and all but they could never go back to being friends. Thankfully, Williams had understood. You didn’t sleep with your best friend’s wife and expect that you two would continue being buddies after he found out. Austin and I had been living the best life that we could in Alejandro’s penthouse.
We didn’t have to worry about Nora anymore and Alejandro always made sure we were okay. Speaking of being okay, I stared at my reflection as I put final touches on my makeup. We were having a lunch date at some hotel. Alejandro, Austin and me. I was clearing out my dressing table when Austin bounced into the room. He was already dressed in matching shirt and pants and black boots.
He plopped down on the bed, silently watching me as I hurried. We were running a bit late and I expected Alejandro to return to the room in search of me any moment now. “You look really pretty, momma.” Austin complimented. His compliments always melted my heart. I bent over and gave him an air kiss. My lips were painted red with lipstick.
I brushed invisible dirt off his shirt. “You look really handsome yourself, honey.” I stretched my arm out. “C’mon. We have to get going before daddy comes looking for us.” I held his hands in mine as we walked downstairs. Alejandro was standing patiently by the foot of the stairs when I caught sight of him. He didn’t fail to take my breath away, looking so hot in a tuxedo.
He kissed my cheek, filling my ears with compliments of how good I looked. I felt my face warm when he let me know exactly what he would do once we got back from lunch. Luckily, Austin wasn’t hearing a word he was saying. He slightly ruffled Austin’s hair, letting him know how good he looked and then we were on our way. I busied myself with checking my messages while we were in the car.
Alejandro had refused to disclose the location of the hotel and curiosity was killing me. We finally got to the location. The hotel wasn’t one I knew but it was not different from the other hotels we’d been to, and we’d never been to anything lesser than a five-star hotel. We got down from the car and Alejandro led the way as we went upstairs. He slanted a gaze at me. “We’re having lunch at the rooftop.”
Excitement kicked in at his words. I’d never been to a rooftop before. He gestured for me to go ahead and open the door. My heart skipped when someone shot confetti in my face while a few others screamed, “Surprise!” I slapped a hand over my mouth, my eyes widening in surprise. This was definitely more than just a lunch date. I stealthily took a few steps, taking the decorations in. There were red and white helium balloons and ribbons scattered everywhere.
I caught sight of Alison, Lucas, Jane and a few of my coworkers. I turned and my eyes almost bulged out of their sockets when I read the words that had been beautifully designed with red balloons. Suddenly Alejandro was on one knee before me, a tiny box opened in his hand and the diamond ring inside of it sparkling in the light. Tears escaped my eyes when he began professing his love for me.
I swallowed when he smiled through his own unshed tears. “… will you marry me?”
“Yes!” I screamed, letting him take my left hand and slip the ring on. Everyone erupted in joy around us as Alejandro got to his feet and pulled me into his arms. I hugged him tightly, letting him know how much I loved him before pulling away and picking Austin up. “Look Austin,” I said, showing him the engagement ring, unable to contain my laugh. “Momma’s about to become a wife.” Everyone said their congratulations, taking turns to give Alejandro, Austin and I warm hugs.
I was more than ready to become a wife.
His wife.

Days later, Alejandro had his hands around my eyes, gently leading me to his surprise. I couldn’t contain my happiness, feeling the sand beneath my feet. We were at a beach! I didn’t want to let him know I’d already guessed where we were so I kept quiet, laughing as he continued to gently steer me forward. I’d made up my mind to still pretend to be surprised but nothing about my surprise when he finally released me was pretending.
I’d guessed we were at a beach and I hadn’t been wrong.
What I hadn’t guessed was that we were here for our wedding.
Our wedding!
I turned to him, staring deeply into his eyes and wondering what I had ever done to deserve him. This was the second biggest surprise of my entire life and the first one had only happened a week ago. “Alejandro…” I breathed, unable to even come up with words. My heart swelled in my chest with the love I had for this man. A tear escaped my eyes and he quickly wiped it off with his thumb.
He took my hands in his, lightly massaging my knuckles. “I know how much the beach means to you,” He started quietly, his eyes never leaving mine. “And I know you want to get married as much as I do. I love you, Andrea. I’m so in love with you it’s all I can think about. I don’t want to wait any longer before I get to call you my wife.” He brought my engagement ring to his lips. “Let’s get married.” He met my eyes again. “Right here. Right now.”
How could I say no?
I laughed, letting the happy tears fall and I pulled him to me and kissed him. Gosh, I was so in love with this man. “Yes!” I exclaimed, barely able to contain the joy that filled me. I felt as though I would burst from happiness anytime soon. I held his head, touching our foreheads together. “Let’s get married.” I agreed. “Right here, right now.” I was glad I wasn’t the only one who’d been impatient about us officially tying the knot.
We let go of each other and continued our walk further down. Just like the engagement party, a few of my coworkers were here. Alison asked Lucas to watch Austin and ran to give me a warm hug. “I’m so happy for you, Andrea. I’m happy you’ve finally get to have your happy ending.” She led me to one of the rooms in the resort so I could change into my wedding dress.
It was the same dress I’d told her I wished I could wear for my wedding, weeks ago when we’d gone shopping. She must have told Alejandro about it. I hurriedly changed, meeting her eyes occasionally in the mirror as she styled my hair. We laughed and giggled like little kids. “I love you so much, Alison.” I confessed when she was done, pulling her into my arms. “I don’t know what I would ever have done without you.”
She teared up, dabbing at her eyelids so her tears wouldn’t ruin her makeup. Laughing, she playfully scolded me. “Let’s not cry now and ruin our make up. I love you too babe, I’m glad that we’re friends.” She gently pulled me towards the door. “Now let’s go give your hand away in marriage.” I noticed a few things when I got downstairs that I hadn’t noticed before. Unlike the engagement, Dave and Williams had been invited to the wedding.
I was sure Dave had only been invited for Austin’s sake and Williams had been invited because of his past friendship with Alejandro. Speaking of Alejandro, my eyes lit up when I realized he’d changed into a wedding suit. I couldn’t take my eyes off of him even if I wanted to. Alison walked me down the aisle. Alejandro and I stood facing each other, every other person fading away as the priest began the ceremony.
“Dearly beloved…”
We took our vows and exchanged our wedding rings. After doing the couple dance and completing some other wedding rituals, we went around exchanging pleasantries with the party attendees. Jane walked over to congratulate me and from the corner of my eyes, I spotted Williams and Lucas having a talk. I hugged Jane, thanking her for coming, before inching closer to where Williams stood with Lucas.
Their conversation wasn’t the happiest, if the expressions on their faces were any indication. Lucas looked angry while Williams looked remorseful. My heart went out to the both of them. I began walking towards them before I would change my mind, catching the ending part of Lucas’s sentence. “… I need time to process everything but just know I won’t forgive you so easily for what you did.”
“Hey,” I said softly, making my presence known. Both men immediately schooled their expression. Lucas replaced his anger with as much happiness as he could, shooting me a small smile. He gave me a side hug, his smile a bit more genuine when he pulled back.
“Congratulations Andrea,” He said, raising the glass in his hand to the air as if making a toast. “You’re the best thing that has ever happened to my dad.” From the corner of my eye I noticed Williams wince when Lucas addressed Alejandro as his dad. “I’m happy you guys finally get to have the happiness you deserve.” He smiled at me again and then he excused himself.
I turned to Williams, managing a small smile when he congratulated me. “Thanks,” I said simply, turning my attention to Lucas’s retreating back. “Give him time. He’ll come around.” I didn’t bother trying to give him a hug, for Alejandro’s sake. I knew he wouldn’t be happy with that and my loyalty would forever lie with that man. I excused myself and went back to greeting other guests.
Alejandro appeared by my side minutes later, pulling me to his side and kissing the side of my head. He gently squeezed my hip. “How bout we ditch these people and go finish what we started?” He suggested lowly. I playfully elbowed him, turning to make sure no one had overhead him. It had been years since we last had sex, Images of his head moving between my legs filled my mind causing a shudder to ripple through me.
“Don’t tempt me, Alejandro.” I muttered beneath my breath.
As usual, he didn’t listen. He never listened when it came to touching me. He kept following me around, whispering the dirty things he’d like to do to me, until I couldn’t take it any more. We ended up slipping away unnoticed and minutes later, I was on a king-sized bed in one of the rooms, trying not to make a sound as he fucked me orgasm.
It was the best orgasm he’d ever given me.
