Chapter 48

Book:Sleeping with my ex-boyfriend's Father Published:2024-11-19

*Andrea*
This fool. This moron.
He thinks he can come back into my life and ruin it. He placed his hand on his face, surprise written over his eyes. “Andrea I…”
“Not another word,” I warned furiously. “And you think I deserve this? Why did you slap me?”
“Who the fuck do you think you are to hold me back. If it has not been clear to you that I no longer love you or want you in my life, I hope it is now.” I warned.
“Why? Are you seeing someone?” He asked, and I wondered why he was just asking. “Why can’t you answer? Are you in a relationship with someone?” I had my back facing him.
I froze when he asked the question a second time, my betrayal to Alejandro ringing in my ear. How would he feel if he knew?
I turned slowly, trying to mask my fear with anger, “What does that have to do with you?” I asked
“Your reaction clearly shows you have no one. And even if you did, it must be a fling. Maybe you are just his plaything.” He said.
“Why? Are you being mean now because I no longer want you?” I asked him, and he paused and let out a long, loud laugh.
“That stunt I pulled a while ago must have worked. I don’t want you; I just want to have fun with you a little ’cause that’s what you can be used for fun and fun alone.” He said.
His words enraged me more, but I tried not to show it, “Well, I don’t care what you think about me; that’s your business.” I said and started walking away.
“You little slut.” This stopped me on my track, “if you had slept with me, I’d have given you a good reward.”
This was evidence that something needs to be done. I couldn’t just let him go scot-free. I turned and walked past him. I picked up the glass of wine on the table and poured it over his suit and face.
“Fool.” I Cursed and walked away.
My body vibrates with anger inside the cab. How could he do this? I sighed. Now I need to tell Alejandro about us and tonight’s meeting.
When the car pulled in front of my house, I noticed a white Mercedes car parked outside my house. I paid the driver, said thank you, and walked inside, wondering who could have parked the car.
It wasn’t Alejandro; this wasn’t his car. So who could it be?
Immediately I stepped inside the house; I was greeted by a familiar voice. “Look who is finally here. You kept me waiting for a long time, Anna,” she said.
Nora? What was she doing here? What are you doing here? I asked her, stepping closer to her. She shouldn’t be here. I had no business with her.
Alison was by the side, seated with her hands crossed over her chest. “And she refused to wait outside.” Anger coursed through my body as I heard that, this was my house. This is my territory. She had no right to decide things.
“Come sit, Anna, we have a lot to talk about.”
“No, we have nothing to talk about. You’ll leave this house right this moment,” I yelled at her. I was with her son earlier, and now I was dealing with her?
This is completely hilarious.
“Not after we discussed. How was your meeting with Lucas? Was it fine?” She asked.
I was about to tell her to shut it and get her stinking self out of my house when I paused and froze. How did she know I met with Lucas? I thought Lucas said she didn’t know me.
“You seem surprised.” She said.
I quickly regained my composure. “I don’t know what you are talking about. Just leave
That’s what I want.’ I said.
My head was aching, and I was already feeling dizzy. I just wanted her to get out of my sight. Was that too much to ask for?
“You know. I know you just had dinner with him. I had reserved the hotel,” she said. From the corner of my eyes, I saw Alison leaning out of the chair.
“When I heard my precious son, Lucas, is in love with Anna, or should I say, Andr, leaning her head. ” Oh, the name doesn’t seem to matter,” she continued. I was flag-battered. How could he be in love with you and not do anything?”
“So I decided it was best if he gave another try, and it seems you refused him one more time.” My words shook.
This bitch knew.
She knew. My legs weakened. However, since she had not said anything about Alejandro yet, I decided to reject all her allegations.
“Well, that’s because I love someone else. You should know your son is a cheat, a liar, and a fool,” I said and sat on the couch opposite hers.
Since she wanted to stay and speak to me, I should listen.
“Someone else,” she repeated, pulling one side of her lips to the side.
“And that someone else is Alejandro. Did you tell him?” I stiffened completely, and my eyes widened. I knew she knew, but hearing she’d switch over to that topic now made me shake. She wouldn’t let it be like that.
As much as I wanted to keep this a secret from Alejandro, I wanted to be the one to tell him.
“I don’t understand what you are saying,” I said. She cleared her throat and leaned out of the chair.
“What I am saying is, how do you think Alejandro would feel if he knew you dated his son?” She said with a slight smile. My chest tightened.
“I don’t see anything wrong. This is the 21st century. I dated his son, we broke up, and I fell in love with his father unknowingly. How is that my fault? You should know we have no control over our feelings.” I said
“But what if we had control.”
Uhuu
“What if it was a strategic plan?” She repeated, “What are you getting at?” I frowned.
“I know why you met Alejandro’s. Didn’t you do it to spite his son? You wanted revenge on Lucas for cheating, and you approached Alejandro.” She said
I let out a low, mocking laugh. “I never knew you to be a storyteller, but I must say you are quite good at the art. So convincing that I almost believe it.” Alison said.
“I have no reason to lie; I am sure you know within yourself that it is true.” She stood, and I let out a breath I didn’t realize I’d been holding.
She was finally leaving.
But she didn’t leave.
She placed her hands behind her and walked around the room. “If there is one thing Alejandro hates so much, it is lies and manipulation.” She walked to the frame on the wall and traced its frame with her finger.
“How do you think he’ll react if he knew that you manipulated him and this love you claim you have for him is fake.”
“My love is genuine. I am not like you.” I said, “And why would he believe what you tell him? It will be brushed off as another lie from you to ruin our love.” I said sternly.
“So you admit what I have said is true, Andrea.” I hated the fact that she called my name like that.
“You need proof to convince me I am lying about not knowing what you are talking about, Nora. If not, get yourself out of my house,” I said sternly.
“You need proof? Fine.” She said and started towards her bag. She sat crossed her leg over the other and brought out her phone. She threw the phone on the table.
“You need proof; there it is,” she said. My hands shook, and I placed one hand over the other. Alison noticed this and picked up the phone herself.
She played the audio, and our voices filled the air. This was us. Our conversation at the bar had been recorded.
There was us at the bar. Who the fuck had recorded us.
“This could be Voice pitching.” Alison said, “Get out of here; you have nothing else to show as evidence.”
“I have no reason to lie to you. That is your voice, and I know you know it isn’t voice pitching or anything.
She paused, “But if you insist I bring out more evidence, then I’m left with no choice.” She took the phone from Alison and returned it after a few seconds.
“How about now? Is the evidence enough?” This time, there was a video of us at the bar.
“Do you like what you see? Andrea was looking extremely beautiful there.” She said.
I felt my entire world crumble.
I switched off the phone and threw it in her lap.
I closed my eyes and opened it. How had I allowed her to have something on me like this?
“What do you want?” I asked her. She didn’t just come here to show me all this.
“Finally, you are saying something I like to hear.’ she whined.
She placed a finger on her jaw, “What do I want?” She stopped, removed the finger, and smiled at me.
“What I want is simple. Leave Alejandro alone. Get out of his life. If you have any relationship with him, break it off and get out of his life for good.” She paused, “simple, right?’
“Are you drunk or something?” I asked her. I would never leave Alejandro.
“Yes. I am drunk.” Her face contours with hatred. “I am drunk with hate for you, Andrea. Who the fuck do you think you are to walk into my marriage and ruin it.”
“You are divorced. Your marriage had already ended years ago.” Alison said.
“And you think that was the end. If it wasn’t for you, he would have accepted me back when I came.”
“Blame yourself for being unable to keep your man. Blame yourself for what happened to your family. You can’t put it on me and make me leave the one I love.”
I would tell Alejandro about this. Granted, he can be angry at me, but he definitely won’t be angry with me forever.
“Fine. Then I’ll send this video to Alejandro accompanied by this picture, and also you will go to prison for using a false name.” She pointed the screen of her phone to me.
There was a picture of when Lucas hugged me. They had gotten a clean shot. From that angle, it looked like I was having an affair with Lucas.
How can a woman be so evil? Nora smirked as she studied my reaction.
“Are you threatening me right now?” I asked, breathing heavily.
“Yes, I am threatening you. Leave Alejandro, or I’ll have to make you leave him,” she said.
“And this seems fair. Tell him you have no reason to be with him, and tell him about Lucas. I want you to tell him you never loved him, and it was all manipulation.”
“But it wasn’t,” I yelled
“I don’t care.” She yelled back.
“I don’t care if what you claim you feel for him is genuine or not. All I want is for you to get out of his life. Of our life.”
“And if I don’t?”
“Then watch and see how I present the story to him and,” she said. She picked up her bag from the sofa.
“You have 48 hours to get out of his life for good. Don’t push me.” She then walked out of the room.
I stood to go after her. I wanted to pull her hair and smash it against the wall, but my legs refused to move. I slumped on the chair.
“What do I do?” Tears streamed down my face.
“You tell Alejandro about it. That has always been the plan. We would not allow her to tell him first.”
