LAURA POV
“Denise! Denise is that you?”I said into the receiver
“Yes it’s me”She replied
“The last thing I heard about you was your escape, where have you been and how are you?”I asked swiftly
“Fine and thanks to to a certain some one am living comfortably”she replied
“Tell me where you are and I will come to you”I said
“I was about asking you that but right you can’t come to us, you might be watched by the police, it’s better if we just meet up some where “she said
“Tell me where and I will be there”I replied quickly
“Telling you on the phone is dangerous as well, I will just text you the address”she said and switch off the phone.
Thank God Denise is safe, with her here I will be able to know what to do with this child.
Just then I received the text and when I confirmed the address, I was about to leave when I felt Nina still holding onto me
How can I get to leave with this child is being all clingy, firstly I will have to take them both to another hiding place and then I will head to the address given to me , so I can talk to Denise.
“Paulina where the hell are you?”i called out and quickly the nanny showed up with their bags and other stuff.
Quickly we all left the house and while I allowed my chauffeur to take them to another house that belonged to me, I got into a taxi heading to the Address Denise sent to me
Unknown to Laura, a man was parked some Meters away from the house and when he saw the two car leave, he followed the car that had Nina and Paulina.
The taxi kept on driving and when it finally got to the address, I got out of it.
The address is an old ware house, I thought as I stared at it for a while, hoping that this isn’t some sort of plot.
Bracing my self, I walked into the ware house and at first I didn’t see the two figure standing under the stairs, it took me a while to see them and when I did see them, I went to give Denise a hug.
“My God! It’s been years”I said starring at the thin Denise
“It is, I wish I could have come to see you earlier but the issue with the resort and then Emily and Cade, all of it prevented me from having a normal life”she said
“I under stand but how did you get out of jail, I was about getting help for you from my Mafia boss when I heard the news that you have escaped “I said
“Well I got help from him, David”she said introducing me to a guy who looked so intimidating.
“Do not be scared, he is just about the same age as Cade, so just think of him as if he is Cade”She said to me and I did as she said
“Now that the introduction have been done, can we talk about why we are here”David said as he walked up to a chair which had been placed in the ware house
“What do you have to talk about David?”I asked
“Needing you in our plan”he replied softly
“You have enough money and right now, what we need is money and some one who is not watched ” he said
“Well I do have enough money but when it comes to not being watched, we will be having a problem”I said softly
“What do you mean by that?”Denise asked me
“Cade has made it a fact that he will keeping a close eye on me”I said
“But why? Why would he Keep a… don’t tell me that it’s because of their child “Denise asked and I nodded softly
“But I asked you to get rid of the child, I made it clear to you”she said
“It wasn’t that clear Denise, you brought a child to me asking me to take care of her and then all of a sudden you are asking me to get rid of her “I asked
” you should have just done it, now Cade suspect you, what if he had followed you here?”she said
“I took a taxi here, you don’t have to worry”I replied
“We will need to get rid of the child as soon as possible” Denise said
“Or we can use the child for our own benefit “David said suddenly
“What?”we both said starring at him
“Think about it, Emily and Cade are desperately searching for their child, what extent will they go to just to get back to her”David said and for a while Denise and I thought of what he said and both of us smiled
“He would really do any thing just to have his child” I said
“Then the child can be of help to us, so we shouldn’t get rid of her yet”David said staring at his hand
“How should we begin our plan David”I asked already liking the boy.
“First we should give Cade a call”he said softly
EMILY POV
It was late already and Cade isn’t here yet, I thought as I paced about the room feeling worried.
“He will be back soon Emily, all you have to do right now is to stay calm”my mom said as she chopped some vegetables
“But he has been gone since this after noon and he made it clear to me that…..”I stopped as I remembered his words carefully.
“Our child isn’t dead, she is alive and I will bring her back to you, I promise”
“That what?”my mom asked bringing me back to reality
“He made it clear that he will bring mom back our child , he didn’t give me the full details but he made it clear that he was going to bring back our child”I said still feeling worried
“If he said that he must have some thing up his sleeve, so don’t worry, it will all be fine”she said and I nodded, hoping with all my heart that she is right.
Just then I heard the sound of a car arrive and quickly I got out of the house.
The driver was the first to get out of the car and when he opened the back seat, Cade got out of it.
He stared at me for a while and then he turned back to car, lifting a little girl out of the car.
On seeing the little child in my dreams, I felt so over whelmed with joy and happiness.
“My baby”I muttered as I ran towards them, taking the girl from his arms
“You are finally here with me”I said as I held her tight in my arms.
CADE POV
HOURS BEFORE
“She lied Emily, she lied about our child dying”I said as I explained to her on our way home from the orphanage
“But why? Why would she do such a thing?”Emily said as she wiped off her tears
“She is heartless just like my mom”I said
“And so what are we going to do Cade, Laura is our last hope but she turned out to be dubious'” she said
“You don’t have to worry about a thing Emily, I will bring back our child, I promise you”I said as the car stopped in front of the house
She got out of the car expecting me to do the same but i never did.
“I have to head some where now, I will be back soon “I said
“But Cade…..”
“Our child isn’t dead, she is alive and I will bring her back to you, I promise” I vowed softly and while the guards walked her back in.
I brought out my phone about to call the investigator when my phone rang and it was an unknown number.
“Cade!”on hearing my mom voice, I asked the driver to stop the car
“Where on earth are you? “I asked
“Do you think I will tell you that?”she replied laughing softly
“Just tell me where you are mom!”I said
“I didn’t call to tell got where I am , I called to tell you that I have your child and that if you want her, you should come to the address I will send to you after cutting this call”she said
“So you and Laura planned this right?”I asked
“You will get to know that when you come there, just come there and stop being a nuisance”she said and switch off the phone and soon enough she sent me the address.
