Action speak louder than words

Book:A NIGHTSTAND WITH THE BILLIONAIRE ALPHA Published:2024-11-19

“What an audacity huh?” Grace sneered at no one in particular as she struck her head in Anger.
She reread the text Alpha Nelson had sent to her again, trying to fully understand what he meant or what the hell do he take her for, a fool? Or a senseless lady?
The text reads. “I don’t care if you won’t be home for sometime though, but all I have to say, according to the contract you signed, you are supposed to be publicly acting as a wife to me and come to the office to make everything look real. Also, this contracted marriage is something that must be kept secret, so don’t you dare try to act dumb. Bye!!!” This was the damn message Alpha Nelson sent.
“Can you imagine? Who the hell does he think is he to order me around huh? After so many times he had failed and done things he was not supposed to?” Grace said bitterly to herself, her heart was really In grief.
“I am sorry Nelson! I can’t let you treat me as a nobody as you have said, I can’t let you control me and I will make sure I act back for treating me this poorly.” Grace said, assuring herself and tightening her heart not to cry any longer for an asshole.
A few minutes later, after Grace was done with the arrangement of her boxes, she lay on the bed to sleep and have a good time since she had taken her bath as she waited for Cassandra to arrive before they could leave.
Though, she had not even dared to give a reply to both Alpha Nelson and Sophia, she really didn’t have time for words this time around, or she would be doing now, is to action. Actions speak louder than words, this had been her mantra after she had seen that.
A knock on her door made her slide down from her beautiful bed with pink flowers and duvet designs as she went to check who was at the door.
“Babes, Good morning, how are you doing?” It was Cassandra; she entered the room; the maid was also at the door with her.
Cassandra had not wanted to ask about Grace’s mom because Grace already told her her mother’s condition and that she was enrolled in a rehabilitation center.
And yes, Grace’s mom also knew Cassandra very well, as did her younger brother, Elvis.
Earlier, Grace had told them she would be expecting a visitor, and that was why they had let her come into the building itself.
They had no idea who Cassandra is and wouldn’t just let strangers into her mother’s house.
“You can go now!” Grace said to the maid, who bowed curtly and left with a smile, and just then Grace shut the door behind her and strolled into the room to go meet Cassandra.
“You came quite early, babe; I was really not expecting you this soon, honey,” Grace remarked. Cassandra was really serious when she meant she would deal with Alpha Nelson and Grace.
She was not joking, not at all. Why would she joke with her best friend? She really loves Grace and won’t let things continue this way.
“This is to show how serious I am, babe. You are ready, right? Call the driver to come take your things to the car already; we are leaving soon.” Sophia said as she lay on the bed.
Grace chuckled wryly and sat down closer to Cassandra.
“Cassy, you won’t believe the text message I got from Nelson and Sophia earlier this morning,” Grace said, and just then Cassandra flew up from the bed and sat down, looking at Grace with an eye, saying that she should spill the beans already.
“What is it this time? She sent a video of them having sex. That shameless bitch! the good for nothing, lady, huh?” Cassandra squealed.
Grace, not wanting to even say anything concerning what she read, just stretched her hands out to where her phone was and opened it, giving it to Cassandra to go read it by herself though.
Cassandra furrowed her eyebrows at Grace as she gave her the phone to read the text.
“Read that, Babe, Nelson is really so stupid than I have ever imagined.” Grace commented badly.
“I see no reason why you didn’t see this coming, babies!” Cassandra said as she started reading the write-up.
“Damn bullshit! Who do the assholes think they are? They aren’t the only ones with power, ehh.” Cassandra said.
Her parents were wealthy and comfortable, even though they aren’t as popular as Alpha Nelson.
“The lady is proud too, just because her damn father is a well-known and powerful Alpha in a mentioned country.” Grace said and laughed out loud. She had really recalled when Sophia tried to use that silly power to oppress her.
“Is she a fool? She thinks power is everything? I would really like to see who the hell has been given my best friend a lot of trouble.” Cassandra said, and just then Grace’s face widened in smile as she looked at Cassandra with appreciative eyes.
“You are the best honey pie.” Grace said softly, still smiling.
“I know, right?” Cassandra said teasingly as she made an up-shoulder sign of pride, and they both laughed out loud.
“Let’s start going already!” Cassandra said, and Grace hurriedly went to change to something better while Cassandra went out to call the driver to come get the things downstairs.
A few minutes later, Grace was ready; they were all set to go.
Grace was dressed in a white designer polo and black joggers, with her very beautiful and stunning canvas shoes; her hair was tied up in a ponytail too, and she was with a bag that fitted her outfits.
Cassandra had come with her car and her driver too. Grace would join her in her car, while her driver would drive here’s to the mansion.
“Are you really ready for this, babe?” Cassandra asked Grace as they drove to Alpha Nelson’s house.
“Yes, sure. I’m ready for them both.” Grace replied with confidence.
“But you feel a little bit unsettled about the whole idea of going back to his mansion.” Cassandra pointed out.
Grace was silent for a while; she was shocked that her longtime friend still knows her so well that she could make such a point.
“Yes though, this was because I promised myself never to go there anymore, and not just that, I can’t be able to look like those disgusting humans!.” Grace countered.
“You would try to; you have to prove to them you are not weak; either he stops all the freaking things he is doing even after signing a freaking contract, or he damn frees you from the fucking contract. He won’t use his power on you, not when I am here.” Cassandra said to Grace.
She was really a very supportive fellow, and seriously, Grace was happy to have her.
Grace smiled at her and nodded, not having much to say; they should just arrive at Alpha Nelson’s mansion already, and then she would act.
A few minutes later, not too long, they arrived at Alpha Nelson’s big mansion gate.
Neither Alpha Nelson nor Sophia had given the security any other reason to not allow Grace in, so the mansion gate was flung open for their car to drive in, not after the security had confirmed who was coming in.
With a very intense speed, the car drove into the parking lots and came to rest.
“What the hell? Did you hear that?” Sophia asked Alpha Nelson. They were in the big sitting room.
Sophia was lying down on Alpha Nelson’s lap on the couch as he careless her hair; they were watching movies.
“Are you expecting any visitors?” Sophia asked and sat upright, while Alpha Nelson tried to be calm and know what Sophia was talking about.
“No, I am not.” Alpha Nelson said surprised as Sophia.
They were talking about the horn of a car they had heard.
Alpha Nelson and Sophia were supposed to be in the office today, but they were at home. Alpha Nelson has told her he wants to spend the entire day with her, and this was why.
Now who had come to interrupt their beautiful moment? Alpha Nelson had strictly told his manager and secretary to be in charge of everything this very day at work.
“I will go check who drove in love.” Sophia said and dashed out of the sitting room to the outside premises. She had a feeling it was someone-Grace.

Outside the compound, Grace and Cassandra, her best friend, came out of the car, and for a while Grace was so adamant to go into the mansion.
“Get the bags inside the building right away! Don’t take so much time for that and make-”
“Get what freaking bags? And inside what building, woman? What damn building, and who the hell are you? I mean you both?” Sophia cut Cassandra short as she was speaking, and this made both Cassandra and Grace flip their heads to see the fool that dares to say shit!
