Callie hesitated to accept it. “No, this isn’t appropriate.”
“Take it, it’s not something valuable, just a token of goodwill.”
Unable to refuse, Callie felt increasingly drawn to Sienna’s graceful and ethereal demeanor. She genuinely liked her and wanted to get closer.
Sienna also liked her, gently touching her face. “Remember to visit me next time. If you have any wishes, you can come here to pray; it works well.”
Callie chuckled, “I don’t have any wishes.”

Nelson had a social engagement today at Club Paradise. Bridger had ordered several cases of alcohol. Everyone present drank heavily, except for Nelson, who remained sober and instructed Kieran to send everyone home.
While Anthony went to get the car, Nelson leaned against the door, lighting a cigarette. In the dim light, his face was particularly striking, attracting the attention of several women who were tempted to approach.
However, none dared to act due to his imposing presence until a soft voice broke the silence. “Mr. Oconnor…”
Through the smoke, Nelson saw it was Charlotte, the woman he had met in Jaquan’s office before.
She was holding a document, looking somewhat cautious. “What a coincidence, you’re here too.”
Nelson’s lips curled slightly, the alcohol making his mind a bit heavy. “What is it?”
His tone was cold, and Charlotte didn’t intend to linger. She stepped forward and handed him the document. “Mr. Scott asked me to give this to you.”
Nelson didn’t take it immediately but looked around, spotting a blue Ferrari at the corner of the street.
“Why didn’t he come himself?”
“Mr. Scott… Mr. Scott said you would be kind to me.” Charlotte repeated, not daring to look at Nelson directly, feeling that his aura was wilder than last time.
Nelson sneered, taking the document and untying the string. A few photos and papers fell out.
The photos were old and blurry, but Nelson could still recognize Callie.
It was Callie during her university days, smiling happily with a boy beside her who looked at her fondly.
She had been in a relationship in college.
Charlotte watched as Nelson’s expression darkened with anger and jealousy.
Nelson quickly composed himself, extinguishing his cigarette and putting away the photos. He told Charlotte firmly, “Tell him to mind his own business.”
She flinched.
Callie didn’t wait for Nelson to pick her up. Half an hour ago, he had sent a message saying he was delayed by social engagements.
She didn’t mind and drove back to Paucaster Villa Complex herself. However, she felt some discomfort in her stomach. Nancy gave her some medicine, and she fell asleep on the bed.
When Nelson returned, he saw her pale face.
In her half-asleep state, she felt his touch and smelled the strong scent of alcohol. She frowned and mumbled, “You’re back?”
Nelson was patient, rubbing her stomach and abdomen. “Hmm? Not feeling well?”
She was almost awake but couldn’t open her eyes. She turned over. “Maybe I ate something bad.”
Nelson ignored her words. Callie had no strength left and could only let him continue.
Her pajamas were taken off piece by piece, feeling the cold and then the warmth of his skin. Her voice was hoarse. “Nelson, I don’t want to tonight… I said I’m not feeling well, Nelson… please…”
