They left the room and walked through the hallway but did not take the direction they came in through. They were going to use the back door.
They got outside and their limousine was waiting for them there. Wayne made Olive enter first and then he entered too.
“Why do you seem pissed?” she asked as soon as he sat down.
“Not pissed. Just not happy,” came his reply.
“About what exactly? That your friends got drunk and wasted?” Olive asked again.
“That my sisters are taking after my footsteps. My brother is already a mess just like I was. He’s okay, though, because he knows how to take care of himself. He knows how to do moderation. Vanessa… well, no hope. She’s a full-blown hoe. But Dolly, I’m scared the most about her.”
“Why? She was drunk that’s why she was doing that. Dolly’s not like that you know. I’m very sure she would be disappointed in herself if she saw my video,” Olive defended her, and Wayne chuckled.
“It isn’t that,” he replied.
“What is it then?”
“Dolly is clueless and knows literally nothing about pleasure or love or even lust. Which is why she still has not noticed that Terry is in love with her. If things don’t end up right with them. If things go sour like what happened with her and Jonas, then I’m afraid my sister would be ruined and be like I was.”
Olive’s jaw dropped. Terry was in love with Dolly? Goodness, no wonder he always seemed worried whenever something was not right with her. And how did Alpha Knight know?
“You really underestimate me, don’t you?” he asked with a sly smile at her thoughts.
Olive smiled and held Wayne’s hand.
“I agree. I do underestimate you sometimes. Still not used to having The Big Bad Alpha by me,” she joked and he frowned.
“It has been two whole months, Olive,” he stated as a matter of fact.
“And we have a whole lifetime together coming up. Let me go at my own pace,” she laughed and he chuckled.
“Yeah. You’re free. There are a lot of things for you to know, so go at your own pace,” he replied to her. The limo started to move, and she clung to his arm.
“I don’t think that is going to happen. What you were talking about earlier with Dolly. Your sister, Dolly is more focused than you think. She’s… she’s going to be fine. Besides, I’m here now. She won’t be lonely and have no one to talk girl stuff with. Also, I don’t think she’s not going to work out with Terry. He cares about her a lot you know. I have noticed that before,” she stated and Wayne chuckled deeply.
“You don’t seem to know the things that could rip people apart are very much and threatening too. I thought she was going to end up with Jonathan. But look what happened? She got rid of him.”
“Jonathan’s not dead,” Olive said and Wayne’s eyes furrowed.
“What?”
“Jonathan is not dead. He’s alive and well,” she repeated. Wayne sighed and rubbed his chin.
“How? Where is he? And how do you know if he’s truly alive?” he asked without thinking about the possible ways. He was just thinking and worrying about his sister and how she would act if she found out her ex-lover was alive. He had hated the way Dolly turned out when Jonathan died. She became a walking dead, always crying and not eating. She looked so empty and fleshless and Wayne was so worried. The worst thing was that he hated Jonathan when he was alive and did not approve of the relationship between him and Dolly his sister. When he died, he felt no remorse as usual but he saw the effect it had on Dolly. So, after she finally got over it and returned to herself, he was relieved. However, the matter came back up when Dolly heard that Olive was from The Vrek Cult, the people who supposedly murdered her boyfriend. He got angry with Dolly for bringing the forgotten issue back up and even blaming it on his mate. But what really riled him up was the fact that Dolly could return to her shell again. He did not want that for her.
“Jonathan is now a member of The Vrek Cult. He was brought in some time ago and of course, they wiped his memories. We were told that there was a woman who was behind it all but we did not know the details. We knew him as Jonas, and he was a cold and dark one. I had no idea that he was the one Dolly loved.”
Wayne exhaled and gulped down.
“Does Dolly know?” he asked and looked out the window as if he could still see Dolly even if they were already away from the clubhouse.
“I told her he was alive. She… she understood. She didn’t worry anymore. She said she was glad his life was not cut short and that he still had hope of regaining his freedom when he found his mate. So, Dolly wished him that he would find his mate soon,” Olive explained. Wayne looked at her with surprise.
“Dolly said that?” he asked and Olive nodded.
“Wow,” he muttered and looked out the window again.
He exhaled calmly and relaxed on the seat.
“Are you still worried?” she asked and leaned over him.
“No,” he answered and closed his eyes. She placed her head on his chest and tapped her fingers on it, too, enjoying the rhythm she created alongside the sound of his heartbeat. Wayne’s hand slid up and down her open bare back and she enjoyed the tingles he gave her.
“Today has been really long,” he said with his eyes still closed. He seemed to be used to closing his eyes like that and leaning against a seat.
“Yes. From shopping in Lumpusberg to going to greet your auntie, to getting ready for the meeting, and then coming out for the hangout,” Olive listed all the events they undertook.
“You are tired already, aren’t you?” he asked. She chuckled and hugged his body with her arms.
“Not while I’m with you. I don’t tend to get tired with you,” she drawled sexily and ran her index finger over the line of his nose.
“Don’t make me feel like a nerdy teenager getting flirted on by the school’s hottest girl,” he said with a deep laugh and Olive smiled. She stared at his peaceful face and looked satisfied. She was deeply in love with this man and was so ever grateful that the moon goddess gave such a man to her as her mate. What else could she ever ask for?
