The shareholders’ meeting was a mere formality. No one could change the fact that the chairman of the YanG had changed.
Yayoi had no intention of being the chairman. She just wanted to hold her head up high in front of Yang Qianqian and Han Yichen.
Yang Qianqian’s expression was awfully gloomy throughout the meeting. If looks could kill, Yayoi felt that she would have become a corpse long ago.
However, when she saw Yang Qianqian, who was resentful but could do nothing, she felt elated.
After the meeting, Yayoi and Morphy walked out of the conference room together. A broad smile had been lingering on Yayoi’s face.
“Are you in a good mood?” Morphy asked softly.
“Hmm,” Yayoi replied. “Of course I’m in a good mood, as I get to see Yang Qianqian, who has always been so arrogant, suffer like this.”
Morphy smiled. “Then, stay in a good mood all the time.”
“Okay,” Yayoi said, nodding heavily. “I’ll do that.”
Morphy raised his hand and gently nuzzled her soft hair, then walked toward the elevator with her in his arms.
“Cheers!”
The crisp sound of cups tinkling and the cheerful melody proved that everyone in the private room was in a good mood.
Ying Xiaoxiao raised her head and gulped down the wine in her glass, smacking her lips with satisfaction. After that, with a big smile on her face, she said to Yayoi, who was sipping the wine, “Yayoi, you’re like a serf who has emancipated themself from a heavy burden and the weight of oppression.”
She could almost imagine how gloomy Yang Qianqian’s face must have been back then. The thought of it alone gave her a big thrill. She hoped that she could be on the scene. This way, she could continue to make trouble for Yang Qianqian and make her have a deeper understanding of the consequences she would face if she bullied Yayoi.
Yayoi smiled shyly and glanced at Morphy, who was sitting next to her. “In fact, it’s all thanks to Morphy.”
At her words, everyone present couldn’t help chuckling, which made Yayoi even more embarrassed. “Well, I’m telling the truth. What are you laughing at?”
Rosiley picked up the wine bottle on the table and filled her glass. Then she raised it to Morphy and said with a grateful smile, “Morphy, thank you.”
Seeing that, Ying Xiaoxiao quickly filled her glass as well. She raised it to Morphy like Rosiley had done and said, “Morphy, thank you.”
Morphy looked at them and said with a smile, “Yayoi is my girlfriend, and I should do all this for her.”
“Yayoi is our best friend. We should thank you for helping her,” Ying Xiaoxiao said, then exchanged a look with Rosiley before continuing, “Cheers.”
As soon as she finished her words, the two raised their heads and drank a full glass of wine down at the same time.
“Don’t deliberately take this opportunity to drink more, you two.” Seeing that they were being so bold, Yayoi couldn’t help frowning.
Ying Xiaoxiao couldn’t help rolling her eyes at her words. “Yayoi, I cannot believe that you’re our good friend. How could you describe our gratitude to your man as something purposeful.”
Yayoi shrugged. “I’m afraid you’re too drunk to explain it to your men.”
“Your men?”
Ying Xiaoxiao raised her eyebrows. She liked the way Yayoi addressed her boyfriend.
Speaking of their men, Yayoi looked at the door of the private room, frowning slightly. “When will CEO Lu and his gang arrive?”
“I have no idea. Maybe later.” Rosiley shot a glance at the door too and then sat down. “Leave them alone. Let’s play first.”
About an hour later, Sachin and Corey arrived, bringing one more person with them.
“Hello, guys.” The moment the person entered the room, she greeted Rosiley and her gang with great enthusiasm.
Rosiley raised her eyebrows slightly. “Why did they bring Ying Xiaoxiao here?”
